The straight line between performance and comfort..

Welcome to Max Cruise Marine. We are a specialist multihull production company with over six decades of combined boat-building experience. After many years in the industry we started our company based on a simple question: “How do we give our clients a sailing experience that combines the best of both worlds, performance and comfort? How do we empower our clients?” Our answer – options; from the interior layout and finishes, to performance enhancements and build type (self-build or professional), as well as international build location.

In short, our designs draw a straight line between performance and comfort.

All our models are the result of a single-minded objective – to fuse design innovation with cutting-edge technology and hands-on experience. YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF THIS CATAMARAN - But It's Our Newest Contender - The Max Cruise 42 -MJ Sailing

There's a brand new catamaran design being launched, and we've just added to our list of contenders. The Max 42 by Max Cruise Marine. http://maxcruisemarine.com/ Get more up to date information and behind the scenes action by becoming a Patron! http://patreon.com/mjsailing Our goal is to spend the next two years building the perfect catamaran for ourselves. Originally we had narrowed it down to the Oram 45R; the Grainger Raku 44; and the Schionning Arrow 1360. But along the way we began talking to another company which is coming out with a brand new catamaran design. Unlike the other choices, which are foam core flat panel kits, the Max 42 is comprised of 3 dimensional modules. The exterior will arrive to us with a gel coat finish, which means we wouldn't need to spend nearly 10 months of our time sanding and faring ourselves, preparing it for paint. We think there are a lot of great options with the Max 42, and it easily made its way into our list of contenders of build we be starting this year. Just make sure to stay tuned in the next few weeks when it goes in a head to head battle with the Schionning Arrow 1360, and we pick a winner! Thanks for watching! Thank you SO MUCH to our Patrons. She is the only catamaran yacht in her class to offer such space and volume in an owner's hull, with her ensuite including a true walk-in shower.

Easy to manoeuvre on your own or with a small crew

The Astréa 42 makes the most of her size to offer an unprecedented level of comfort

When the Fountaine Pajot teams designed this yacht , their objective was clear: to offer the best combination of aesthetics, comfort and seaworthiness in a 42-foot catamaran . The result has exceeded expectations. Not only is her sleek silhouette easy on the eye, but the Astréa 42 is packed with features and fittings that you would typically only find on much larger catamarans . However, at 12.58 metres, she is still very easy to handle, and whoever takes the helm experiences a true connection with the boat while being right next to the sundeck where guests can keep them company. Time to head out to sea!

Innovative, high-tech composite materials constitute most of the structure of our sailing catamarans: hulls, flybridge, decks, bulkheads and more. Fountaine Pajot has perfected a resin injection and infusion technique, an advanced technology that gives our boats all their robustness. Thanks to this expertise, we can make our catamarans considerably lighter while maintaining consistent quality . Injection also makes it possible to meet the most stringent environmental requirements, in line with the commitments of the Fountaine Pajot Group.

Sailing catamarans from 40 to 50 feet are built at the Aigrefeuille headquarters, a few kilometres from La Rochelle. Catamaran yachts from 51 to 80 feet are built in La Rochelle, France, where they benefit from a slipway.

The unique design of the helm station allows good communication between the aft cockpit and the Fly relaxation areas. Of course, your level of navigation will determine your ability to sail with two or more persons!

OUR DESIGN CHOICE REVEALED For Our Catamaran Build!! – MJ Sailing

Which did we choose, the Schionning Arrow 1360? Or the Max Cruise 42 SC? After much debate, we finally make the decision of which catamaran we’re going to build, beginning this December. For more information, take a look at both of our choices! Schionning Arrow 1360 – http://www.schionningdesigns.com.au/a…

Hi Mat and Jessica

Love your channel and really looking forward to following the build of the new cat.

You have done a really detailed construction list for the catamaran you were thinking of getting, ORAM 45R. $202,000 US approx..

I was wondering what you think the total cost of the new cat will be the Max Cruise 42?

King regards

Lewis Carroll

' src=

Hello Lewis,

I’m estimating $300,000 USD for the Max Cruise 42. Besides the price difference to get the molded components, we’re also going with a bit higher spec equipment and this is bringing up the price.
