• Guests with a Valid Disney Resort Hotel Reservation: Make reservations for your entire length of stay (for up to a 10-night stay) up to 60 days in advance of your arrival! Yachtsman Steakhouse is Disney’s Best Kept Dining Secret, And Here’s Why (FULL REVIEW)

One of the best-kept dining secrets at Walt Disney World is Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

In fact, this is one of my personal favorite places to dine when I want a nice dinner at Disney. 

The beautiful steakhouse is located down a quiet corridor near the pool at the hotel and is worth trying to snag a reservation for. 

If you’re thinking about dining at one of the best restaurants at Walt Disney World keep reading to learn everything you need to know, how to snag the best tables, and of course my suggestions about what to order.

What is Yachtsman Steakhouse at Walt Disney World? 

Yachtsman Steakhouse is a signature dining restaurant located at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. The restaurant is only open for dinner and is known for its incredible steaks , sides, and desserts. 

And believe me, you DON’T want to skip this Disney dining spot on your vacation!

What is the Vibe like inside Yachtsman Steakhouse?

Since the restaurant is only open for dinner the vibe is very adult. This is a great date night spot for couples , or a treat yourself type mean for solo travelers. 

You’ll feel as if you’re whisked away on a nautical escapade through the great North East of America.

The interior is quite cozy and far away from what you’d expect at a Walt Disney World restaurant.

How Do I get a reservation at Yachtsman Steakhouse? 

The easiest way to get a reservation for Yachtsman Steakhouse is through the My Disney Experience app. 

You can also make reservations on the Walt Disney World website or by calling the reservation center at Walt Disney World.

A word of warning though, the latter of the two options is not the most efficient and phone calls to Disney have been taking upwards of two hours just to talk to someone. 

If you do see a reservation for the restaurant you should go ahead and book it even if it’s not at your intended dining time, because it’s always easier to modify an existing reservation versus make a new one. 

If you decide you don’t want to dine at Yachtsman Steakhouse after you’ve reserved a table, you can cancel without penalty up to 24 hours before your reservation.

What if I Can’t get a reservation for Yachtsman Steakhouse? 

There are a few options if you can’t get a reservation for Yachtsman Steakhouse before your trip to Walt Disney World.

The first is to get to the restaurant right when it opens at 5:00 p.m. and see if you can be seated.

Another option is to eat in the nearby lounge, Crews Cup , which is currently serving the exact same menu as Yachtsman Steakhouse.

The Crews Cup Lounge is located right next door to Yachtsman Steakhouse. Its vibe is very relaxed with tables, booths, and bar seating.

This lounge used to have its own unique menu , but post-pandemic the original menu has not returned and the lounge is serving the Yachtsman Steakhouse menu. 

If you are able to snag a table inside the Crews Cup Lounge, try to get the table near the window looking into the dry-aging room at Yachtsman Steakhouse.

Through the window, you can see the steaks being expertly cut by the restaurant’s butcher for service as guests order.

What’s on the Menu at Yachtsman Steakhouse? 

Yachtsman Steakhouse only serves dinner and everything on the menu is a la carte, meaning every item you order is a certain price. 

Meals start out with a bread basket filled with savory pull-apart onion rolls and cherry multigrain sourdough rolls.

The bread is served with the restaurant’s signature roasted garlic and salted butter.

Yes, that means you can literally smear pieces of roasted garlic and slather butter all over these delightful breads.

When it comes to starters, I really enjoy the French Onion Soup , which is perfectly rich with plenty of onions, sourdough croutons, and topped with melted gruyère cheese. You definitely have to try the Beef Carpaccio as well.

Also the famous Caesar Salad is perfect here!

Entrees and Dessert at the Yachtsman Steakhouse

Entrees obviously mean having a steak , and no matter which one you choose it comes with a sauce or butter, and your choice of side. I always order the 14-ounce roasted prime rib with horseradish cream.

Each entree comes with your choice of accompaniment, with either mashed potatoes, potato-leek gratin, or house-made French fries. I typically choose the gratin or the fries. 

When dinner is done, do not leave the restaurant without trying one of the delicious desserts.

The signature dessert at the restaurant is the Yachtsman’s Chocolate Cake, which is made with dark chocolate mousse, chocolate cake, mixed berry curd, peanut butter crunch, and mousse, and serves two.

This is one thing I love to get even if I’m dining alone so I can take the leftovers back to my Disney hotel room and munch on them the next night too.

Yes, you’ll be happy to know that Annual Passholders can get 10 percent off of their bill here.

Yes, it’s requested that men wear khakis, slacks, or dress shirts with a collared shirt, and women should wear capri pants, skirts, dresses, or dress shorts.

My Final Thoughts and Review of Yachtsman Steakhouse

Yachtsman Steakhouse is a lovely option for dining at Walt Disney World, whether you’re traveling alone or going out with friends, or on a date night. 

Here are a few tips to ensure your experience at Yachtsman Steakhouse is the best that it can be. 

• Security at the front of the Yacht Club can be very strict about who they let into the parking lot at the hotel.
• If you don’t have a confirmed dining reservation at the Yachtsman Steakhouse , your better option for dining here will be to take a ride share or take the Disney Skyliner . This is best if you’re staying at one of the resorts that the transportation service goes to and from. 
• I f you’re at EPCOT and want a break from the park and think Yachtsman Steakhouse sounds like a nice place, you’ll want to walk to the back of the park to the International Gateway to get to the Yacht Club and to the restaurant.

Okay, we’re sorry to have to break the news, but we come to you with lots of Disney World changes this week.

We know everyone is still REELING over the HUGE Genie+ changes , not to mention those food changes at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in Magic Kingdom (oh, Fruit and Nutella Waffle Sandwich, we will MISS you so much). That, along with last week’s big missing hushpuppies news is enough to leave our brains fried, but we’ve still got MORE changes to tell you about, this time on menus at Disney World restaurants. 

Let’s take a look at how Disney World restaurant menus changed this week.

Resort-wide

The following changes have been made at Trolley Car Cafe at Disney’s Hollywood Studios , Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom , and Creature Comforts at Disney’s Animal Kingdom :

• REMOVED:  Summer Skies Drink
• ADDED:  Cinnamon Crumble Oatmilk Frappuccino Grande for  $6.49

Golden oak outpost.

Golden Oak Outpost got an updated menu to celebrate the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure . Here’s how Entrees changed:

• REMOVED: Chili Cheese Fries, Chicken Strips, and Loaded Chicken Strips
• ADDED: Shrimp Gumbo with Sweet Potato Fries   — shrimp and andouille sausage gumbo topped with Cajun-spiced sweet potato fries for  $11.99
• ADDED: Hot Honey Chicken with Sweet Potato Fries   — chicken nuggets tossed in hot sauce-honey served with New Orleans olive relish and Cajun-spiced sweet potato fries for  $9.99

For breakfast, you can no longer order the Breakfast Sandwich or the   Sausage, Egg, and Cheddar Bagel Sandwich . However,  Cheddar, Bacon, and Ranch Tots have been added for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while Cinnamon-Sugar Doughnuts were removed. The tots are drizzled with ranch dressing and topped with green onions for $10.49.

For lunch and dinner, the Bacon Macaroni & Cheese Hot Dog, Curry Brat Tots , and  Creamy Bacon Macaroni & Cheese  have been removed from the menu.

The  Jaq and Gus Cheesecake is no longer available as a dessert.

That is, however, the only change at Cinderella’s Royal Table this week.

Under Soups and Salads, the Blueberry and Barrel Aged Feta Salad is no longer available. The  Artisanal Cheese Selection has also been removed from Desserts.

Under Featured Cocktails, the  Paper Plane has been removed.

Beaches Pool Bar

You can now get Loaded BBQ Pork Chips  — pulled pork, house-made BBQ sauce, house-made chips, pico de gallo, jalapeno, queso blanco, and sour cream for  $12.49 . You can add guacamole for  $2.

Under wine,  Meiomi Rosé  is no longer available, while  House of Brown Rosé has been added for  $14.

• ADDED:  Lemon-Blueberry Cheesecake  for  $6.29.
• REMOVED: Nestlé Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar and Strawberry Fruit Bar
• ADDED:  Mickey-shaped Brownie  — house-made brownie topped with ganache, walnuts, marshmallows, chocolate chips, and M&Ms chocolate candies for  $4.99

Under Bakery, Sugar Cookie with Sprinkles Pack, Chocolate Croissant, Chocolate-Almond Cookie, and Coffee Cake have been removed.

You can no longer get  Biscuits as a side for breakfast. The  Cheese Plate has also been removed from the menu.

The following beverages were removed: AHA Sparkling Water – Blueberry & Pomegranate, AHA® Sparkling Water – Lime & Watermelon, and Vegetable Juice.

The following wines were also removed: Blood Orange Mimosa Canella  and  Bellafina Pink Moscato.

Baked Pasta was removed from the lunch and dinner menu. On the Allergy-Free menu, both Chili-topped Macaroni & Cheese and Pulled Pork-topped Macaroni & Cheese were removed.

The Market at Ale & Compass

The following beverages have been removed from the menu: Cutwater Gin & Tonic, Cutwater Rum & Ginger , and Kung Fu Girl Riesling .

Those are the only changes.

The  Banana Bread with Streusel is no longer on the menu. Under Fresh Fruit, Strawberry Cup and Watermelon Cup have been removed.

Under Snacks, the  Cheese Cup, Mickey Crisped Rice Treat,  and  Mickey Crisped Rice Treat – Chocolate-covered  have been removed.

We’ve got quite a few menu updates at Morimoto Asia Street Food.

• ADDED:  Bulkogi Kimuchi Ramen — thin-sliced sweet soy-marinated beef, aromatic duck broth, house-pickled kimchi, gochujang sauce, and scallion soy-marinated egg for $18
• ADDED:  Onigiri (Teriyaki Salmon, Kimuchi Pork)  — Teriyaki-glazed salmon, house-polished short grain rice, and nori for $5
• ADDED:  Karaage Taiwanese style “Gee Pie”  — Five spice marinated chicken breast and choice of curry spice or Beijing spice for $9

• ADDED:  Korean Corn Dog — beef hot dog, mozzarella cheese, panko bread crumbs, sriracha ketchup, and honey mustard for  $8
• ADDED:  Chicken Dumplings  — chicken, corn, onion, and scallion for  $3
• ADDED:  BBQ Pork Bao  — braised pork and soft steamed bun for  $6
• ADDED:  Taiyaki  — fish-shaped cake with red bean paste for  $6

Under gelato flavors,  Cannoli  was removed, while  Bubble Gum and Guinness (21+)  was added. Blueberry – No Sugar Added  is no longer available as a Sorbetto flavor.

Under Milkshakes and Floats,  Blueberry Mimosa (21+) was removed from the menu, while  Mango Spritz (21+)  was added — mango sorbetto, prosecco, and Sprite for $13.

Under Pastries,  Ube Tiramisu  was removed, while  Key Lime Tiramisu was added for $10.   Cake Batter Cannoli   was also added — sweet ricotta cream with cake batter and sprinkles for $7.75.

Canned Soda is also no longer on the menu. Also,  Cold Brew  and  Nitro Cold Brew have been removed.

Amorette’s Patisserie

You can now get the  Strawberry Boba Milk Tea Petit Cake for  $22.

It’s made with layers of vanilla cake soaked in strawberry milk tea filled with strawberry mousse, strawberry boba pearls, and crushed strawberry biscuit sticks.

Under Appetizers, the following changed:

• Shrimp Scampi Flatbread changed from $16.49 to $16.99
• Cheese Sticks changed from $13.99 to $14.99 Beef Lava Nachos (For Two) description changed from “Peppers, onions, black beans, Monterey Jack cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, sour cream, pico de gallo, salsa” to “Peppers, onions, black bean chili, Monterey Jack cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, sour cream, pico de gallo, salsa”
• Mozzarella Flatbread with Arugula changed from $16.49 to $16.99
• ADDED: Amazon Bruschetta  for  $13.99

Here’s how Soups and Salads changed:

• Volcanic Cobb Salad changed from $23.99 to $22.99
• Ancient Grain Bowl changed from $19.99 to $20.99
• Ancient Grain Bowl with Chicken changed from $23.99 to $24.99
• Ancient Grain Bowl with Shrimp changed from $25.99 to $26.99
• Ancient Grain Bowl with Salmon changed from $28.99 to $29.99

Seafood also saw changes:

• REMOVED: Blackened Fish Tacos
• ADDED: Fish Tacos  — blackened, grilled, or fried, jalapeno ranch, red cabbage, citrus vinaigrette, pico de gallo, black beans for  $22.49
• ADDED: Catch of the Castaway  — ask server for details
• ADDED: Add Soup, Paradise House Salad, or Little Islander Caesar Salad to any Entrée for $8.99

Rainforest Cafe Aquarium

Here’s how Sandwiches and Burgers was updated: Blue Mountain Chicken Sandwich changed from $21.99 to $22.49 . Here are the changes for Beef, Pork, and Chicken:

• Primal Steak changed from $43.49 to $43.99
• Mojo Bones changed from $29.99 to $30.99

Tortilla Chips were removed as a Side.

All Kid’s Entrees changed from $11.49 to $11.99 , while the following were removed from the menu: Rainforest Rascals and Plant-Based Nuggets. Fries  and  Safari Fries  were removed from Kid’s Sides, while  Go-Gurt was added. Under Kid’s Desserts, Nile’s Catch changed from $11.49 to $11.99.

Raspberry Lemonade Freeze was removed from the Smoothies menu. Here’s how Beers changed:

• REMOVED: Lagunitas IPA, Angry Orchard Rosé Hard Cider, Sam ’76, Orlando Brewing I-4 IPA, Funky Buddha Floridian Hefeweizen, Yuengling, Samuel Adams Seasonal Selection , and Sailfish Brewing Sunrise City IPA .
• ADDED: Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA, Sweetwater 420 Pale Ale, Safari Amber Draft, Yuengling Traditional Lager, Blue Moon Belgian White Ale, and Huss Brewing Papago Orange Blossom Draft.

Wines also changed:

• REMOVED:  Korbel Brut, Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio, Starborough Sauvignon Blanc, Kendall-Jackson ‘Vintner’s Reserve’ Chardonnay, Chloe Rosé, J. Lohr ‘Flacon’s Perch’ Pinot Noir,Josh ‘Craftman’s Collection’ Cabernet Sauvignon, Avalon Red Blend and Robert Mondavi ‘Private Select’ Merlot’
• ADDED:  Lucien Albrecht Brut, France  for  $14 per glass and $55 per bottle
• ADDED: J. Vineyards Pinot Gris, California  for  $13 per glass and $51 per bottle
• ADDED: Jean-Luc Colombo Cape Bleue Rosé, France  for  $12 per glass and $47 per bottle
• ADDED: Cambria ‘Katherine’s Vineyard’ Chardonnay, Santa Maria Valley  for  $14 per glass and $55 per bottle
• ADDED: Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough for  $14 per glass and $55 per bottle
• ADDED: A to Z Pinot Noir, Oregon for  $13 per glass and $51 per bottle
• ADDED: Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma County  for  $14 per glass and $55 per bottle
• ADDED: J. Lohr ‘Los Osos’ Merlot, California  for  $12 per glass and $47 per bottle

Specialty cocktails increased from $15.50 to  $16.  The following cocktails are no longer available: Beso Del Sol Sangria, Moscow Mule, Dragonberry Mule, Blue Nile served in a Souvenir Glass and Tropical Getaway served in a Souvenir Glass. However, there are two new cocktails:

• ADDED: Summer Rum Punch served in a Souvenir Glass  — Bacardi Superior Rum, pineapple juice, sweet & sour, Fever-Tree ginger ale for $16
• ADDED:  Hurricane  — Bacardi Superior Rum, Monin Red Passion fruit syrup, Myers’s Original Dark Rum, grenadine, orange juice, sweet & sour for $14

Taking away the sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and the tots with gravy at Friar’s Nook is a TRAVESTY!!!! We just had it for the first time a few weeks ago and I’ve been talking about it since. I really hope they bring those items back!!!

When to Book Guests may make advance dining reservations at select restaurants.

• Guests with a Valid Disney Resort Hotel Reservation: Make reservations for your entire length of stay (for up to a 10-night stay) up to 60 days in advance of your arrival! This can help you enjoy streamlined vacation planning , since you can make all your reservations on the same day—rather than checking availability day after day.
• All Other Guests: Make reservations up to 60 days in advance.

Dining in the Theme Parks To dine at an in-park, table-service restaurant, you need a confirmed dining reservation for the total number of Guests—regardless of age—along with a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on that same date for each Guest ages 3 and up.

Dining reservations do not guarantee access to a park, and Park Hopper availability may change daily. We recommend that Guests book in-park dining at the park where they have a park reservation.
