Wajer yachts takes over zaadnoordijk yachtbuilders.

Heeg, July 1, 2022 – Wajer Yachts will take over Zaadnoordijk Yachtbuilders as of July 1st. Over the past twenty years, Zaadnoordijk has already supported Wajer in various areas with the (hull) construction of the Captain’s launch and Wajer 37, 38, 38S and 55. This strategic acquisition gives both parties the opportunity to guarantee continuity.

Wajer Yachts - recently named Frisian Company of the Year - is experiencing strong growth. Wajer Yachts produces the Wajer 77 at the yard in Lemmer and the 55 line is being built at the yard in Heeg. The 38 line will be continued at Zaadnoordijk in Heerenveen.

Zaadnoordijk Yachtbuilders has over 70 years of yacht building experience and delivers the highest quality to Wajer. Over the years, the two companies have grown, from building the hulls of the Captain's launches to collaborating on the 38 and 55 foot models.

Zaadnoordijk is located in Heerenveen and has a production facility of 5,000 m2. All 60 employees of the company will of course remain employed.

Wajer summer day amsterdam.

We celebrated 'Wajer Summer Day’ in Amsterdam with 14 Wajer s. The event included a trip to Volendam, where participants enjoyed fried fish and a brass band. Back in Amsterdam, the day concluded with drinks and snacks by the Amstel River at sunset. A great way to kick off summer!

Wajer Yachts acquires Zaadnoordijk Yachtbuilders

HEEG – To meet demand, Wajer Yachts, the Dutch builder of luxury open cockpit day boats, has acquired Zaadnoordijk Yachtbuilders, a yard that has been its building partner for over 20 years.

During that time, Zaadnoordijk built hulls for Wajer’s Captain’s launch and the Wajer 37, 38, 38S and 55 models. Wajer Yachts builds to 77ft. The takeover was uncontested as both companies see it as guaranteeing continuity in business.

“Twenty years ago, I started working with Dorus Wajer,” says Jan Muller, owner and director of Zaadnoordijk Yachtbuilders. “It is great that both companies have undergone a wonderful development and are now continuing under one flag.”

Wajer Yachts has in recent years seen rising demand for its high-end power boats, especially in the United States.

The company says it will open its own private marina in Miami in December. Called Wajer Bay, it will feature  16  berths in the former Bentley Bay – Miami South Beach site. The berths will all be equipped with a boat elevator.

Wajer Yachts’ 38 line will continue to be built at Zaadnoordijk’s 5,000m² facility. All 60 employees of the company will remain employed.

Most successful The yard behind the C-Yacht brand is Zaadnoordijk Yachtbuilders. In 1947, when Rinus Zaadnoordijk began with a small marina in Uitgeest, he had no idea that his name would be irrevocably linked to such a significant number of large and small types of polyester sailing yachts.
