BLACK SWAN, 112' Westport Sells In-House in 30-days!

RJC Yachts Sales is pleased to announce their in-house sale on the 2014 112' Westport MY, BLACK SWAN! The vessel was centrally listed by Bob Cury of RJC Yachts and within 30-days on the market, Raymond Young of RJC Yachts brought in the buyer.

BLACK SWAN represents the newest and most highly customized 112' Westport on the market today. The entire interior of the yacht was 100% custom designed with upgrades, materials and features not available on any other 112'. She is truly a unique, "one-of-a-kind" vessel which differentiates dramatically from the standard 112's. Her high-style contemporary interior features a high gloss mahogany joinery package with custom granite, marble and back-lit etched glass throughout. In addition, there are custom pieces specifically built for this vessel to include her custom built formal dining table with seating for ten along with custom leather upholstery and a hand-crafted 60" round custom cocktail table.

The upper deck was transformed and customized into an elegant outdoor dining and entertainment area with a stainless steel setup for (3) full length custom diamond shaped overhead shades to keep you cool. She features a Castella dining table and chairs for (8), another custom designed and raised settee with marble top not standard on a 112'. Custom outdoor carpeting and a 50" Sunbrite TV together with added outdoor speakers and an underwater camera that can be played on each TV throughout the yacht.

With only 1595 original hours on her MTU 16V-2000 main engines, BLACK SWAN represents the lightest use of any 112' Westport currently on the market. Her main engines are under transferable warranty through 2022. The vessel has only had private usage, having never having been chartered a single day and truly shows as brand new!

She will retain her name BLACK SWAN, and she will be based out of Palm Beach, FL and available for charter through RJC Yachts Charter department.

As the name suggests, superyachts are meant to garner attention . From Zaha Hadid’s stunningly crafted ships to vessels featuring waterfalls , these massive floating crafts are becoming ever more exquisite in design. And the latest concept superyacht, by designer Timur Bozca, is no exception. Dubbed The Black Swan for its black exterior and graceful aesthetic, the striking structure is proof of the power of simplicity. According to Bozca, who splits time between offices in Istanbul, Milan, and London, the superyacht was crafted by connecting “simple lines together with dramatic angles and curves.”

“Using the powerful image of an arrow as my inspiration, I tried to create an aerodynamic exterior that would give the yacht a distinctive look, while also improving the efficiency of the craft in the water,” said Bozca in a statement. The yacht will include four engines that can generate 23,172 horsepower, hitting a top speed of 32 m.p.h. Made from aluminium and steel, the yacht features a stunning pool that funnels toward the stern and seems to disappear into the ocean. The Black Swan also includes a sundeck, balconies that are hidden from view, and a rooftop helipad.

The superyacht will be able to accommodate up to 12 guests across a master suite and six guest suites. The yacht is still in its initial design stage, but if built as shown, it would cost upwards of ten million dollars.

BLACK SWAN for charter

Black Swan  was designed by Charles E. Nicholson and built at the esteemed Camper & Nicholsons Gosport shipyard.  Black Swan  represents one of the most important classic sailing yachts from our heritage, and is a vessel admired by yacht afficionados around the world. Launched in 1899 and refitted multiple times to ensure her continued seaworthiness, the 40.2m sailing yacht  Black Swan  presents an incredible opportunity to charter a piece of maritime history and a verifiable icon of the classic fleet.  Black Swan  began life as  Brynhild , a design commissioned by John Selwin Calverly who had heard of Nicholsons’ success designing small racing yachts and his desire to conceive a larger vessel. The brief was for a yacht that was an all-rounder, not designed for racing but able to participate in the handicap classes. Unconstrained by any rating rule and able to design a yacht that truly reflected his ideas on yacht design, Nicholson excelled. After Calverly’s death,  Brynhild  was quickly acquired by a new owner and proceeded to change hands several times through the 1920s and ‘30s. An engine was installed, and then in 1937 she was converted from a yawl to a ketch and renamed  Black Swan . After World War II,  Black Swan  was sold to George Guérin who had her refitted at Camper & Nicholsons with John Nicholson, son of Charles E. Nicholson, managing the work. In 1958 Guérin sold  Black Swan  to Felix Mechoulam and she stayed in the Mechoulam family’s ownership for some 40 years.  Black Swan  was sold again in the early 1990s and underwent a significant refit at the Beconcini yard in La Spezia. Financial troubles then resulted in her being seized by the bank and laid up in La Spezia from 2008 to 2015. Edouard Poullain her current owner, a passionate yachtsman for classic yachts, recognised Black Swan as a unique opportunity to save this historical yacht and under his ownership she is sailing again. Black Swan  offers accommodation for six guests in three double cabins. Her traditional yachting style runs throughout the interior, and there’s space to dine both within the saloon and on the foredeck. Black Swan  is a rare and important turn of the century yacht which is a welcome addition to the classic charter fleet.

The Black Swan is coming our way - We are very pleased to announce some very big news: the gorgeous, one-of-a-kind luxurious 49-meter motor vessel the Black Swan will nest in charter fleet in 2024. Custom-built in 2018 in Croatia as a premium boutique cruiser, the Black Swan stood out from the very beginning with its extravagant design and service tailored to the most discerning guests. She is now undergoing a complete refit to become a truly unique private luxury charter yacht with an extended crew and masterfully personalized service. Her name, the Black Swan, stands for beauty, grace and rarity. For the longest time, black swans were believed to be mythical creatures. Today, when we know for a fact they exist, they still lend their name to describe unexpected events that come as a surprise and create a far-reaching ripple effect. There is no doubt that the Black Swan will live up to her name. Once the refit is complete, she will offer plush accommodation for up to twenty guests in her ten double cabins. No less than three are master cabins, each situated on one deck. The remaining queen and king-size en suites will be convertible into twins, allowing great flexibility for diverse or multigenerational parties. One multipurpose room on the lower deck can double as a single cabin or be transformed into a playroom, a PlayStation lounge for kids, a media cabin or an office. Her ample common spaces are ideal for great time together as well as wonderful moments in privacy. Relaxation seekers will appreciate the many areas for soaking up the sun, from the expansive sundeck with sun loungers to the fly deck Jacuzzi where bubbly sunsets pair perfectly with a glass of champagne. Adventures are always on option, with water toys galore including jet skis, water skis, sea bobs, SUPs, a water slide and more. Those who favor solid ground will love the e-bikes that make it easy to spontaneously explore islands and shores. With seamless communication between the indoor lounge and aft deck, her expansive main deck can host a variety of themes and feels. Opportunities for cozy and quiet moments sit scattered throughout. Guests can enjoy morning papers over an espresso by the library nook, sip on whiskey in the cigar corner and relish romantic whispers by the upright piano. Outside, sunset cocktails and dining al fresco come immersed in the gorgeous Adriatic sceneries. Dining is a special treat each time around, with a chef and sous chef fully dedicated to preparing delectable Mediterranean creations from the freshest ingredients sourced locally. Guests can enjoy Chef’s table dinners on the upper deck, breezy lunches in the aft deck lounge, and light snacks paired with the best wines anywhere, always tailored to special dietary requests. Whether a dinner is followed by starlit dancing by the sundeck cocktail bar, a casino night in the saloon or a movie night in the private indoor cinema, no two nights are alike. The gym and Finnish sauna make it easy to keep up health and fitness routines. With a masseur on board full time, every day can start with an energizing massage. Adding a yoga instructor to the crew is great for those who wish to start or end their days with a sunlit practice on the sundeck. Advertised by DMA Yachting, the breathtaking charter yacht M/V BLACK SWAN is a 161 ft motor yacht featuring a jetski and a hot tub. The most valuable elements of M/V BLACK SWAN are her generous space and interconnection with the sea. M/V BLACK SWAN spends the summer and winter season in Croatia. Most expenses are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), a fund that is added on top of the charter price. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
