BLACK LEGEND Yacht – Overmarine’s Stunning $25M Superyacht

The 50-meter BLACK LEGEND yacht was launched in 2017 by Overmarine in Italy. She is worth US$25 million and can reach speeds up to 37 knots.

The interior was developed by the Over Marine Design team to fit the specific needs of her owner.

Much like the exterior of the yacht, the interior features a lot of dark elements with striking red skulls as accent pieces.

The upholstery is made from dark fabrics and leather, with suede elements and exotic wood.

There are four guest cabins, including a large master, one VIP room, and two doubles. The entire interior of the BLACK LEGEND yacht is air-conditioned, and she features a state-of-the-art entertainment system.

Almost all of his vehicles and vessels are black with red skulls as a unique form of branding.

The BLACK LEGEND yacht reportedly cost her owner US $25 million with an estimated US $1 to 2 million annual running costs in addition to the sale price. 

Specifications

The yacht has a length of 49.9 meters (163.9 ft), a beam of 9.2 meters (30.2 ft), and a 1.9 meters (6.9 ft) draft.

She displaces 483 tons and can reach top speeds of up to 48 knots, making her much faster than larger models. Her average cruise speeds lie at 35 knots.

She is powered by four diesel MTU engines which provide her with a reach of up to 691 nautical miles.

Since her draft is exceptionally low she is the perfect yacht for accessing shallow areas that other larger vessels might not be able to reach.

The exterior of the BLACK LEGEND yacht was designed by Stefano Righini, an Italian naval designer specializing in superyachts. He recently passed away in October 2021. The vessel is mainly black with some white accents and, of course, the signature red skull, which marks the left side of the bow.

Large black and red letters spell out the name on the aft, and she is decorated with a red stripe along her waterline.

The BLACK LEGEND yacht is the 12th in Overmarine’s successful Mangusta 165 series. She is also the 8th largest vessel ever built by the Italian shipyard, which was founded in 1985.

She is currently ranked number 904 on the list of largest motor yachts in the world

Sunseeker 101 Sport Yacht superyacht Black Legend delivered to her owner

UK yacht builder Sunseeker International has launched and delivered its new Sunseeker 101 Sport Yacht Black Legend .

The 29.8m sports yacht boasts a bold black-and-red colour scheme and a pirate theme, including a red pirate-flag skull decal on her black hull. The yacht has been delivered to her owner, who hosted a 'build party' to thank the build and design teams who have brought Black Legend to life over the last 12 months of her build at the Sunseeker shipyard in Poole, UK. Some 80 members of the Black Legend build team were in attendance.

Superyacht Black Legend is the first Sunseeker 101 Sport Yacht to be launched. According to Sunseeker's superyacht sales manager James Hall, she is the, 'natural successor to the legendary Sunseeker 108 Predator.'

The standard layout for the Sunseeker 101 Sport Yacht will provide accommodations in four lower deck guest cabins with en suite bathrooms, including an amidships full beam master suite and a forward VIP, and accommodations for up to four crew members. The guest suites are flooded with natural light thanks to huge windows.

Black Legend 's customised pirate theme demonstrates how the Sunseeker 101 Sport Yacht series can tailored to meet an owner's brief, and the interior can also be fully customised working with Sunseeker's in-house Bespoke Interiors division.

Various engine options are available for the Sunseeker 101 Sport Yacht series, the largest of which will propel her to a top speed of 31 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots. The second hull in the Sunseeker 101 lineup has already been sold, build is well underway and its launch will follow shortly.

She is elegant and features exteriors designed by Stefano Righini Design and her luxurious interiors and naval architecture are penned by Overmarine Group SPA. She has a beam of 9.2m (30'2") and a volume of 485 GT. This beautiful yacht is smooth, fast and can host up to 12 guests accommodated on board, and she also has accommodation for 9 crew members including the captain.

EXTERIOR The sun-drenched main deck aft offers guests two large plush sofas facing forward and aft around a coffee table, with two additional chairs to seat the whole group. The area can be shaded by a canvas bimini for all-day outdoor use.

Two stairways lead down to the lower deck swim platform, which is deep enough for sunbathing and lounging beside the water, and grants direct access to the tender garage/beach club within the stern.

Side walkways along the main deck lead to the foredeck sunbathing area, which is laid out with a forward-facing sofa and drinks tables, and a massive spa pool and sun beds closer to the bow.

BLACK LEGEND Specifications

Up on the flybridge, a plush forward sofa is paired with the helm controls, behind which is the bar, seating for lounging and alfresco dining, and sun loungers along the stern.

INTERIOR The lower deck hosts the guest and crew accommodation, with room in the stern for storing the tender and water toys. On the main deck, the Master suite is forward, followed by the galley, foyer and main salon with formal dining area. Quadruple MTU 16V 2000 M94 Diesel engines of 2,600 HP each produce a maximum speed of 37 knots, a cruising speed of 25 knots and a range of 900 nautical miles at an economical 20 knots.

Yacht Accommodation

The accommodation sleeps a total of 12 guests across 5 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite on the main deck and 4 further guest cabins on the lower deck. There is a professional crew of 9 to ensure that everyone on board receives first class service throughout their stay.
