Il rogo di vaste dimensioni, divampato intorno alle 9.30, ha richiesto l’intervento di cinque squadre dei vigili del fuoco

Questa mattina le fiamme hanno avvolto uno yacht di 30 metri nei cantieri navali Ferretti a Cattolica, nel Riminese. L’incendio di vaste dimensioni divampato intorno alle 9.30 ha richiesto l’intervento di cinque squadre dei vigili del fuoco . Sul posto anche i carabinieri della città romagnola. Una decina di operai, quelli più vicini al fuoco, sono stati visitati da personale sanitario per un controllo alle vie aeree dopo aver inalato fumo ma nessuno è rimasto ferito.

Danni ingenti, in corso le indagini

L’imbarcazione del valore di circa 10 milioni di euro, ora completamente distrutta, era praticamente finita e pronta per la consegna. Altri due yacht sono rimasti danneggiati. Sono in corso le indagini per stabilire le cause del rogo e stabilire una stima dei danni complessivi. Al momento l'ipotesi più plausibile sarebbe quella di un cattivo funzionamento di un quadro elettrico. Il Gruppo Ferretti, presieduto dall'imprenditore cinese Tan Xuguang, è leader mondiale nella progettazione e costruzione di imbarcazioni di lusso.

Yacht damaged in fire at the Ferretti shipyard in Cattolica

A fire has broken out at the Ferretti shipyard in Cattolica this morning causing damage to a motor yacht currently under construction.

According to the local fire service, the fire started at around 9.30am on January 11 in one of the sheds at Ferretti Yachts. Ferretti has confirmed that there were no injuries to personnel, however an in-build Ferretti motor yacht has been damaged.

Five fire brigades teams attended the scene with 11 firefighters working to extinguish the flames. The cause of the fire remains unclear.

Ferretti Group released a statement in the incident which read: "The fire that broke out in the early hours of the morning yesterday, Tuesday January 11, involving a boat under construction at the Cattolica shipyard, caused no injuries thanks to the immediate implementation of safety procedures, with the intervention of the shipyard’s fire-fighting teams and the local fire brigade. The fire has been contained and extinguished, the site is safe. The causes of the incident are currently under investigation."

Uno yacht di 30 metri pronto per la consegna è andato in fumo

Martedì mattina, le fiamme hanno iniziato a divampare nel cantiere della Ferretti Yacht di Cattolica, nel Riminese, distruggendo uno yacht di 30 metri (da 10 milioni di euro) che era praticamente ultimato. Sul posto numerose squadre dei vigili del fuoco che dopo qualche ora sono riuscite a domare l’incendio. Il Gruppo Ferretti è uno dei leader mondiali nella progettazione e costruzione di imbarcazioni di lusso ed è presieduto dall'imprenditore cinese Tan Xuguang. Al momento non è chiara la causa dell’incidente, probabilmente le fiamme sono divampate per il malfunzionamento di un quadro elettrico.

A fire has broken out at the ferretti shipyard in cattolica.….

According to Italian news outlet, Corriere Romagna, the fire broke out this morning with a 30-metre yacht worth 10 million euros (ready for delivery) being destroyed. Reports are suggesting that the fire broke out at around 9.30am. Five fire brigade teams and a total of 11 firefighters were on the scene. Local sources stated that the fire was put out before midday.

CATTOLICA Il fumo nero, denso, acre, è arrivato fino a Gradara. Ha avvolto strade, coperto porzioni di cielo e cercato di entrare nelle case. Erano le 9.40 quando è fuoriuscito dal cantiere cattolichino della Ferretti Yachts, al 62 di via Irma Bandiera, sul ponte canale che divide la Romagna con Gabicce. A sprigionare quella nuvola è stato un incendio spaventoso scaturito da un corto circuito avvenuto a bordo di uno yacht gioiello, da 30 metri e circa 10 milioni di euro di valore, pronto alla consegna fissata per il 15 gennaio. Era ancora a secco, all’interno del capannone. Gli operai dovevano solo ultimarne gli arredi.

Around 9:30 in the morning on the 11th of Janruary, reports came in of a yacht fire at the Ferretti Shipyard. Sadly, the 30-metre superyacht, valued at around €10,000,000 and ready for delivery, was destroyed in the tragedy. According to reports, two other yachts were also damaged by the fire.

Ferretti Group released a statement about the fire, explaining: “The fire that broke out in the early hours of the morning yesterday, Tuesday, January 11, involving a boat under construction at the Cattolica shipyard, caused no injuries thanks to the immediate implementation of safety procedures, with the intervention of the shipyard’s fire-fighting teams and the local fire brigade.”

C'è stato un incendio nel cantiere degli yacht Ferretti a Cattolica

AGI - Un vasto incendio ha coinvolto questa mattina i cantieri navali della Ferretti Yacht a Cattolica, nel Riminese. Nessuno è rimasto ferito ma dieci operai sono stati visitati dai sanitari per aver inalato fumo. Il rogo è divampato attorno alle 9.40: un'imbarcazione di quasi 30 metri quasi pronta alla consegna è andata completamente distrutta. Sul posto sono giunte cinque squadre dei Vigili del fuoco. I danni sono ingenti.

I vigili del fuoco ipotizzano che sia stato un cortocircuito la causa scatenante del vasto incendio. Gli operai si sono accorti del fumo che usciva dalla cabina di uno scafo di lusso di circa 30 metri che era pronto per la consegna e, nonostante i tentativi per spegnere le fiamme con gli estintori, in pochi minuti il rogo ha coinvolto tutta l'imbarcazione del valore di circa 10 milioni di euro . Le autobotti dei pompieri sono tuttora al lavoro. Nessuno è rimasto ferito, ma dieci operai sono stati visitati dai sanitari per aver inalato fumo.

Il rogo è divampato attorno alle 9.40. Sono inoltre in corso analisi da parte di Arpae per monitorare la situazione dell'aria e accertare che non si siano propagate sostanze tossiche.

Ferretti shipyard returns to capacity following fire

Ferretti Yachts has confirmed its Cattolica shipyard is back up and running, three weeks after a devastating fire broke out in a construction shed.

The fire, which occurred on 11 January , destroyed a 30-metre yacht that had been ready for delivery, causing a reported 10 million euros of damage. Readers can see footage of the blaze in the video below. No injuries were reported during the incident.

The Italian luxury builder confirmed the news as it revealed the yard’s first launch of the year. Number 36 of the Ferretti Yachts 780 Club B, commissioned by a Maltese owner, launched from the Cattolica yard on Wednesday.

“Less than three weeks after the stoppage caused by a fire on board a yacht under construction, the shipyard is ready for the first launch of the year, confirming its return to full capacity in a feat of formidable effort and capability,” Ferretti says in a statement.

It’s believed to be the first time Ferretti has publicly commented on the fire.

Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi says: “At Cattolica, speed and quality go hand in hand. It is fantastic to see the shipyard get back to full operational capacity in such a short time. I will never be able to adequately praise or thank all the people in the area and at Ferretti Yachts who have worked tirelessly to get us back to doing what we are famous for around the world: building and delivering dream yachts to our customers.

“Our thanks once again to the Municipal Administration and all the local authorities in this fantastic area. The launch of this Ferretti Yachts 780 Club B marks the return to our extraordinary normality.”

Later this week, Ferretti also plans to launch an FY1000, the brand’s 100-foot flagship, from the Cattolica yard.

“The Cattolica Shipyard is more active and stronger than ever, ready to mark 2022 with many more magnificent projects,” adds Galassi.

Le constructeur italien Ferretti a été touché par un incendie le 10 janvier 2022. L'incident a eu lieu dans l'usine de Cattolica dédiée à la gamme Custom Line.

Incendie dans l'usine Cattolica de Ferretti

Le constructeur de yacht haut de gamme Ferretti a été victime d'un incendie le 10 janvier 2022. Le feu s'est déclaré sur un motoryacht de 30 mètres de long, en phase de finition et d'armement sur le site de Cattolica sur la côte adriatique. L'usine, à une vingtaine de kilomètres de Rimini, dans un des berceaux de l'industrie de la grande plaisance italienne, est dédiée à la marque Custom Line. Les bâtiments de 9 000 m² peuvent accueillir une quinzaine de bateaux à moteur entre 20 et 30 mètres.

Un yacht de 30 mètres entièrement détruit par les flammes

Les conséquences de l'incendie restent relativement maîtrisés, grâce l'intervention rapide des pompiers locaux. Il n'y a pas eu de blessés. Seul de légères intoxications à la fumée sont à déplorer. Le yacht duquel est parti l'incendie, d'une valeur d'une dizaine de millions d'euros, a été entièrement détruit par les flammes. Heureusement, ces dernières n'ont pas réussi à se propager aux autres bateaux en construction dans le hall, limitant les conséquences matériels.

Les détails sur les raisons de l'incendie ne sont pas encore connues. Une enquête devra déterminer l'origine du feu.

Le groupe Ferretti, numéro 2 italien de la grande plaisance , détenu par le groupe chinois Weichai Power depuis 2012, à la tête des marques Wally, Ferretti, Pershing, Itama, Riva, CRN et Custom Line, dispose de plusieurs usines en Italie. Les conséquences sur l'organisation de la production ne sont pas encore évaluées, la construction d'unités à moteur de cette taille nécessitant de nombreux mois de travail.

El astillero Ferretti vuelve a su capacidad tras el incendio

Ferretti Yachts ha confirmado que su astillero Cattolica está nuevamente en funcionamiento, tres semanas después de que estallara un incendio devastador en un cobertizo de construcción.

El incendio,  ocurrido el 11 de enero  , destruyó un crucero de 30 metros que estaba listo para ser entregado, causando daños por valor de 10 millones de euros. Los lectores pueden ver imágenes del incendio en el siguiente video. No se reportaron heridos durante el incidente.

El constructor de lujo italiano confirmó la noticia al revelar el primer lanzamiento del año del astillero. El número 36 del Ferretti Yachts 780 Club B, encargado por un armador maltés, botado desde el astillero Cattolica el miércoles.

“Menos de tres semanas después de la paralización provocada por un incendio a bordo de un barco en construcción, el astillero está listo para la primera botadura del año, confirmando su regreso a plena capacidad en una hazaña de formidable esfuerzo y capacidad”, dice Ferretti en una declaración.

Se cree que es la primera vez que  Ferretti  comenta públicamente sobre el incendio.

El CEO de Ferretti Group, Alberto Galassi, dice: “En Cattolica, la velocidad y la calidad van de la mano. Es fantástico ver que el astillero vuelve a su plena capacidad operativa en tan poco tiempo. Nunca podré elogiar o agradecer adecuadamente a todas las personas en el área y en Ferretti Yachts que han trabajado incansablemente para que volvamos a hacer aquello por lo que somos famosos en todo el mundo: construir y entregar barcos de ensueño a nuestros clientes.

“Nuestro agradecimiento una vez más a la Administración Municipal ya todas las autoridades locales de esta fantástica zona. El lanzamiento de este Ferretti Yachts 780 Club B marca el regreso a nuestra extraordinaria normalidad”.

A finales de esta semana, Ferretti también planea lanzar un FY1000, el buque insignia de la marca de 100 pies, desde el astillero de Cattolica.

“El Astillero Cattolica está más activo y fuerte que nunca, listo para marcar el 2022 con muchos más proyectos magníficos”, agrega Galassi.

New Superyacht Destroyed In Spectacular Blaze Off Formentera

2022 is not a good year to be a superyacht...

A pristine, white 44m superyacht now looks like the burnt bottom of a paella pan. The superyacht caught fire off the coast of Formentera on its first ever season on the Mediterranean. The crew and passengers all escaped unscathed, but the same can’t be said for the yacht.

Aria SF, a spanking new superyacht which was only delivered in July 2022, has been destroyed by fire while sailing off the coast of Formentera (a beautiful island just over 20km south of Ibiza). The yacht is 44m long. According to the area’s Maritime Rescue service, the 7 crew members and 9 passengers are all safe, having been rescued by the Maritime Rescue team.

The Maritime Rescue service also announced, some seven hours ago (as of the time of writing) that the fire had been almost completely extinguished. Diariodeibiza.es reports that the smoke could be seen from as far away as Ibiza. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.

According to El Pais the call for help went out at about 5pm, and it was then that the Maritime Rescue service sent out the Salvamar Acrux and the Guaramar Concepcion Arenal, which went to exacuate passengers and crew from the striken vessell and to put out the flames. Once the fire is out, El Pais reports, the Guardamar Concepcion Arenal will tow what’s left of the burnt superyacht to Ibiza.

According to The Superyacht Times , the yacht had a swimming pool, several lounges, five bedrooms and a gym. Aria SF also, Boat International reports, “was the first hull in the ISA GT 45 series and was due to make her world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.”

Various superyachts have caught fire this year. The multi-million dollar 27 metre Sanlorenzo SX88, for instance, was destroyed in Valencia in April after an alleged fault occurred with the lithium batteries.

In January, too, a fire at Ferretti Shipyard in Cattolica destroyed what appeared to be the Ferretti Yachts 1000, with as many as five fire brigades being called to the scene.

Earlier this year DMARGE spoke to founder of BLC Yachts,  Candas Balci , who has previously worked as a marina manager and a luxury yacht manager, to ask about superyacht protocols when it comes to fires. Balci told DMARGE that there are long procedures and trainings to avoid fires breaking out on board, “but at the end of the day all yachts are highly flammable.”

He added: “If it is fire you can put out in 3-5 minutes, it is always better to move the boat outside of [the] marina, far from other yachts and people, and continue your fire fighting somewhere safe.”

“Generally, this ends up with the yacht sinking, due to all the water pressured to the yacht to put down the fire. After the yacht is capsized, insurance companies come and check if it will be covered. Generally, they do, and lift out the burnt yacht in some dry dock to investigate the fire.” Candas Balci

“But they have some items on their policies to not pay the coverage, therefore everything on your yacht must be legal, starting from the flag registry, manning on board and crew certificates. Otherwise, there will be hard days for the owner to get his money from insurance.”
