It comes set up with Polar Bear 105mm traditional kingpin trucks for a tight carve and a stable ride. 63mm, 78a Fatty Hawgs wheels finish off the setup and ensure you'll have a smooth, versatile setup. The coffin is an old school shape and one that gets you around town with style.

Swim through all the traffic with this instrument of gnar and enjoy the fresh look with artwork from our in-house art team. The Dinghy Coffin XL, at 28.2″ long by 8.6″ wide, is pressed with 7 plies of high quality Canadian maple for a light, stiff and poppy ride. It comes set up with Polar Bear 105mm traditional kingpin trucks for a tight carve and a stable ride. 63mm, 78a Fatty Hawgs wheels finish off the setup and ensure you’ll have a smooth, versatile setup. The coffin is an old school shape and one that gets you around town with style.

Compact, and capable, perfect for everyday cruising and urban skate exploration

So, what’s flex and why is it important to a skateboard? In skate-nerd terms, flex is the amount of displacement a deck sees when a specific amount of force is applied to it. Check out our formula to the left! There are a few factors that affect flex, like deck thickness, wheelbase, and the amount of force on a deck. We built a machine and put our entire lineup to the test by applying the exact same amount of force to all our boards and measured the displacement we saw in each. This gives a totally scientific and accurate flex range across our entire line! It’s important to understand flex when choosing a board. Here are some basics: Downhill/freeride skateboards will have less flex because you need a stiff platform to stand on when you’re bombing or gripping a corner at speed. Carving skateboards will have more flex, giving you the ability to sink into your turns and pump or carve with ease. Most cruisers, dance and ATV boards will have less flex for control when doing tricks but just enough to be forgiving when pushing around town. We’ve engineered our boards with the best flex for each style of riding but remember, flex is subjective so get out a see what you like the most!

Besides looking cool, the Dinghy Coffin XL shape is super functional as it puts the widest parts of the board under your front heel and back toe, meaning you have tons of leverage on both rails without having to move your feet much. The Dinghy Coffin XL is pressed with 7 plies of Canadian maple for a light, stiff and poppy ride. It comes set up with Polar Bear 105mm trucks for maximum agility and a super-tight turning circle. 63mm 78a Fatty Hawgs wheels finish off the setup and ensure you’ll have a smooth ride.

Flex Ratings

We’ve categorized the stiffness of our boards into 3 main groups, listed below.  The general rule is the faster you’re skating, the stiffer the deck, but this is not universal.

Flexy – Soft and supple flex profile best suited for carving and cruising on longer boards. The bouncy nature of these decks lets you turn deeper and surf your surrounds.

Medium – The do it all of our boards, a perfect balance of stability and carve. 

Stiff – From cruisers to downhill boards a stiff flex profile excels in stability and responsiveness.  Whether you’re dipping into driveways or bombing a mountain pass you’ll be down with the stiffness.
