The famous French shipyard Fountaine Pajot not only builds conventional sailing catamarans, but also has in its arsenal special Taiti models, designed specifically for large – very large! – groups.

Straight to the numbers: the sailing catamaran Fountaine Pajot 80 is the largest catamaran in Santorini. It was built in 2015, is 80 feet (24 meters) long and can accommodate up to 65 people!

The Taiti range of catamarans is designed for a day charters. Large seating areas and sun nets in the bow of the catamaran, tables for comfortable lunch or dinner on the deck, canopies to protect from the intense sun – safety and comfort on board for large groups was at the heart of the design of this model.

A sailing catamaran is perfect for organizing a wide variety of events in Santorini: a birthday, a wedding, a corporate party or an important celebration can all be organized on board the Fountaine Pajot 80.

Where and what transport should I take?

It depends on the location of your hotel or villa. Some cities of Santorini are famous for their narrow streets, which are not so easy to walk even on foot. So in some cases you will need to walk to the main road, some nearest square or parking place, where a car or a tour bus can pick you up. If your hotel has good road access, then the transfer will be able to pick you up directly from the hotel.

After placing an order, you will receive detailed information about the place and time of the meeting, as well as all the necessary documents. Please read them carefully beforehand.

What do I need to take with me?

During the season in Santorini there is a lot of sun and very little shade. So you will definitely need sun protection: special cream, glasses, headwear, and so on. If there is a possibility of motion sickness in transport, we recommend that you take appropriate pills an hour and a half before departure. If you plan to sunbathe and swim, bring your swimwear. There are towels, masks, snorkels and flippers on the catamaran. If you choose the sunset option, make sure you have some warm clothing with you, as even on a hot day it can be chilly in the sea at night.

All passengers on board should have their passport or ID card with them in case the port authority performs a check of the ship. A paper copy or a photo on a cellphone will be sufficient.

What happens if we rent a catamaran and the weather turns bad?

If the weather does not allow you to make the catamaran trip in Santorini, we will try to reschedule it for the next day with good weather. If there is no such date, we will refund the entire amount of your payment.

Will we be walking a lot?

No. It’s a leisure time aboard a catamaran.

Where can I have lunch?

Departure for the morning trip doesn’t start until 9:00, so you have time for breakfast at the hotel.

Where can I have dinner?

Lunch or dinner (depending on the time you choose) is included in the sailing charter price.

Will there be a tour guide?

No, but skipper and his assistant will be with you on the catamaran. They speak excellent English and will help you with any questions. You can also invite one of our guides or photographers to join you on the catamaran.
