What options do you offer?

We offer 2, 4, 6 and 8 hour cruises/charters as well as local overnight charters, destination overnight charters, and overnight stays at our dock which is conveniently located in walking distance to the bars and restaurants downtown. 

Where can I view pricing?

Most of our prices can be found by clicking this link , with the exception of our overnight bookings. We offer overnight bookings at the dock and on charter, and both of those options we quote out depending on your itinerary. Please email us through the contact form on the site or at [email protected] to learn more.

What itineraries can we do?

We have a number of itineraries available for you to choose from, and we will recommend some to you depending on the time and year and day which your cruise is, the predicted weather, and how long you book the yacht for. Some sample itineraries are a sunset cruise, a yacht party next to a nearby private island, a day trip to Bald Head Island, a yacht party at Masonboro Inlet, a cruise along Wrightsville Beach, or multiple day trips to Myrtle Beach, Ocracoke, Charleston and beyond.

​What do I need to bring?

Guests should bring any alcohol or food they'd like to eat, we should have just about everything else like all necessary safety equipment, the crew, etc. Soft drinks, water and ice are included and already onboard.  

When should I arrive?

​We recommend arriving about 15 minutes prior to your departure time so that you can get settled and receive your safety briefing before we depart.

What if I have more than 13 people?

While the Coast Guard does not allow us to carry more than 13 guests at sea, we absolutely can have a dock party with more than 13 guests. While we won't be able to leave the dock, you can still party the night away on a yacht!

What's Included?

All bookings include fuel, docking fees, the cost of the captain, his mate, and full use of the yacht and its water toys which include 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, a floating dock, music throughout the boat and free internet, YoutubeTV and Netflix. If you hire the chef or hostess, their services and food will be included as well.

What's NOT Included?

The price online does NOT include tax, gratuity,  or alcohol. Food is not included unless you hire the chef. Lastly, we do not have any decorations onboard so please bring any decorations you wish to put up depending on your occasion.

Can we choose the time of our charter or cruise?  

Yes, absolutely! Any time that you want to leave and return, we can make that happen!

​What's NOT allowed?

While we want you to have the most amazing time aboard our beautiful yacht, a few things are strictly forbidden such as: Unsupervised Dock parties with more than the approved number of persons, sleeping more than 7 people onboard overnight, smoking, drugs, fireworks and flushing anything besides toilet paper down the toilets. 

​Where do I park and how much is it?

Complimentary parking is included and you will park in the Port City Marina parking. If there is a parking attendant there, let them know that you're there for a Carolina Yacht Charters cruise.  

Are children and kids allowed?

While children and kids are allowed, please know that boats do present a safety risk to our kiddos. They must always wear a live preserver and should never be allowed outside without direct adult supervision.

We have a number of things available to add on to your experience! All options must be quoted out depending on your party size and the length of your trip. Add-Ons include:

Yacht Source provides year-round charters with options to cruise the waterways, plan day trips to specific locations, and host private events such as bachelor parties, engagements, birthdays, corporate events, and any other special occasion where you want to have fun on the water in first class style.  Our fleet is made up of Blue Bonnet II, a 65’ Sea Ray Luxury Yacht, as well as Baby Bonnet, a 31’ Sea Ray SLX. Both are located at Sea Path Yacht Club in Wrightsville Beach, NC. We can host up to one charterer and 12 passengers for a total of 13 on either vessel, not including the First Mate and Captain. Robin (Steward)

If you would like to step the service up to the highest level, you may opt to have a steward onboard your yacht. Our steward Robin has over 20 years experience in the guest service and hospitality industry, serving as a flight attendant, and working with boats for the last five years. She is available to help serve your meals, assist with drinks, water toys etc. she is CPR AED, and basic emergency medical service trained. You can book a stewards service for a flat $150 / 4 hours or $200 / 8 hours.

Our 41 foot pontoon boat has had a lot of experience on the Lake Norman waters. The Carolina Tiki was originally the old dinner boat from a restaurant on the shoreline of Lake Norman called the Blue Parrot. After sitting unused for almost two decades, we purchased the vessel and got to work resurrecting the old dinosaur to be able to do charters on Lake Norman. After almost a year in the making, we had completely tore down and rebuilt the boat to accommodate groups looking to enjoy a more relaxed vibe on the water. 

Our charters consist of 4, 6 and 8 hour time slots, which allows you to really make the most out of your time on the boat. Whether you're a local in the area just looking for something to do for the day, celebrating a birthday or throwing a bachelorette party, our captain and first mate will go above and beyond to give you the best day possible and make the charter tailored to you and your group.

Our family had an amazing day on the lake with Captain Chris and Austin. From the start, the service was amazing with them helping us get our items down the dock and onto the boat. The boat is so clean and nice! Chris and Austin were so good with both the adults (tossing us fresh drinks when we were in the water) and the 4 kids under 5 that we had (from getting out fun water toys to swinging a little one to sleep in a hammock). They grilled our burgers and hotdogs we brought for lunch… even toasted our buns! We already plan to be return customers, and I cannot say anything but good things about the boat and crew! We had a group of ladies on a Workcation trip in the Lake Norman, Denver area this past week! We wanted to do something on the water and thought that a sunset cruise would be the perfect thing! I reached out to Carolina Tiki and they were so accommodating and easy to communicate with. The captain picked us up on our house dock and off we went! Meet the people who make your charter on Lake Norman effortless. Our team is one of the most important parts of our business and they're the ones who truly make Carolina Tiki what it is. Being a family owned and operated business means that most of these people are the ones who are closest to us. We can't wait to meet you and make your charter on gorgeous Lake Norman something to remember. 

Captain Chris

Chris is an extremely knowledgeable USCG certified captain who served our military as an avionics tech in the air force when he was younger. After he completed his time in the military he started to work as an air traffic control officer all throughout the country. Eventually he settled in Charlotte and became the manager of the entire air traffic control tower at the Charlotte Douglas airport. After retiring at the air traffic control tower, he decided to do the Great American Loop with his wife Angela and their son Sebastian. Chris is always looking for an adventure and can not wait to greet all the guests who get on board for their charter. If you ever have any question or need anything Chris will not hesitate to help. 

Captain Austin

Austin is a full time student at UNCC studying business finance. Austin has a few roles on the Carolina Tiki, whether that be as a first mate, a captain or managing the social media accounts, he can do it all. When Carolina Tiki first started, Austin, and his father Jason were the ones who got to work remodeling. Once the boat was ready for captained charters he started as a first mate, doing charters with captain Chris or Jason. During the winter of 2022 he got his USCG Master captains license and has been captaining more and more charters. Austin will always greet guests with open arms and will not hesitate to help with anything you may need. 

Captain Jason

Jason and his wife Lisa founded the Carolina Tiki and have grown it into what it is today. After purchasing the boat and remodeling it, Jason was the first master captain to take groups out on charters aboard the Carolina Tiki with his son, Austin as the first mate. Jason also owns and operates his own construction business called Kraft Construction as the general contractor. With this being said, Jason has taken a step back from captaining due to his trust in Austin and Chris and to focus more on Kraft Construction. However if you call over the phone Jason may be the one to answer and take care of all of your questions and needs. 

Lisa is part owner along with her husband Jason and handles all of our in house operations. This includes the booking process, sending emails and answering phone calls. Lisa also works as a 1st grade teacher at J.V. Washam, a school in the Lake Norman area. If you ever have any questions about how to book or anything specific before your charter Lisa will always be more than happy to help. 

Charlee Kraft

Charlee is our first mate in training. She's in first grade right now at J.V. Washam and loves puppies. She is always practicing how to drive the boat with the supervision of her brother, Austin and she gets better every time. Be on the lookout because Charlee may be on a charter with you soon!

If you are not comfortable having a renter drive your boat, we have an expansive network of licensed and experienced captains. Once your boat is listed, you can filter through our network of captains and favorite captains in your area that you would like to operate your boat.
