Watch Lil Yachty Rap About “Simpsons” Characters with the Roots
In a new video from “ The Tonight Show ,” Lil Yachty delivers a rap that name-drops 59 characters from “The Simpsons” in just under three minutes. Backed by members of the Roots and flanked by host Jimmy Fallon (who holds cue cards bearing the characters’ names and likenesses), Yachty recites lyrics like, “And she’s smoking, like Selma and Patty/Comic Book Guy’s kind of a fatty,” and “Sideshow Bob, Troy McClure, Radioactive Man/Who had a Fallout Boy before the band .” Check that out below. Lil Yachty joins Jimmy Fallon and The Roots on The Tonight Show to rap about exactly 59 characters from The Simpsons . The Roots provide a live boom-bap rendition of the classic Simpsons theme as Yachty rhymes about the cast of characters with Fallon dropping cue cards featuring the characters being discussed. In under three minutes, Yachty fits in 59 iconic characters from the series, as well as a few deep cut references including Grampa Simpson yelling at clouds and Ned Flanders’ now deceased wife.
