Below Deck’s Daisy Reveals Scathing Messages From Erica Rose’s Mom, Accuses Her of “Lies” and “Slander,” Plus What Wasn’t Shown

Below Deck’s Daisy Reveals Scathing Messages From Erica Rose’s Mom, Accuses Her of “Lies” and “Slander,” Plus What Wasn't Shown

Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s Daisy Kelliher is not holding back on the ongoing feud between herself and returning charter guests  Erica Rose Sanders , Charles Sanders , and Erica’s mother Cindi Rose .

As fans will remember, Daisy was less-than-thrilled that Erica was returning for a second charter this season, and the two have been in a heated exchange (mostly, on Erica and company’s part).

Daisy did take the time to clarify on Twitter what exactly she was feeling toward the returning guests in real-time during the latest episode.

Daisy reacts to Erica's return

Daisy then went on to defend castmates Gabriela Barragan and Ashley Marti for also having to deal with the difficult couple.

Daisy felt back for Gabriela and Ashley.

Erica’s husband Charles has gone on record saying that the show was scripted and that he was “acting” on his most recent appearance of the show because that’s what producers wanted — a claim that the rest of the crew has adamantly denied.

Now, on a new episode o f The Pita Party Instagram series that Daisy co-hosts with fellow Below Deck stars Dani Soares and Alli Dore , Daisy is sharing the scathing messages Cindi had for the Below Deck Sailing Yacht crew after their first visit. She certainly did not hold back revealing why she was not in the mood to have them back aboard.

Daisy pulled out her tablet and read the messages she received from Cindi.

“All the crew worked hard, except for Captain Glenn and Daisy, who I think were there to create fake rocking ships and try to pretend he [and] she [were] yacht royalty were working. Daisy ordered people around, but I never saw her do any work,” Daisy began.

Daisy then revealed the message pivoted toward Captain Glenn’s treatment of the group and his not wanting to attend a “women’s empowerment” dinner.

“What would we talk about? That you were an older, confirmed bachelor who likes to be alone? It was rude of you to refuse our good manners. You are 50 something and should know manners by now. To ask people to pay over $25,000 per person and tell them it’s a luxury trip and show us activities and complain about us behind our backs is so immature and then expect tips that we generously did. At least we have manners,” Daisy shared in Cindi’s words.

Daisy made sure to let Below Deck fans know that it’s not particularly Erica, Charles, or Cindi’s frustrating behavior onboard the yacht itself that made her “blood boil,” but rather, it’s the “slander” and “lies” that they spread through social media.

“So when I saw this [Cindi’s message], it got my f***ing blood boiling,” Because it’s lies, it’s slander. It’s insane. And I didn’t retaliate. I didn’t say anything. I didn’t do anything,” she revealed.

“They are everything that I hate about social media. I hate liars. I hate fabricators. I hate people who use social media as a platform to spread gossip. And they’re everything of what I think represents is awful in the world and awful about social media,” the chief stew said.

Daisy Kelliher Reacts to Charter Guest Erica Rose's Return: "This Is the Worst News Ever"

below deck yacht erica rose

Captain Glenn Shephard , Daisy Kelliher , Gary King , and Marcos Spaziani were in for quite the surprise when they sat down for the preference sheet meeting to go over the second charter of the season.

How to Watch

Watch Below Deck Sailing Yacht on Peacock and the Bravo app .

In the above Bravo Insider exclusive first look at the upcoming March 7 episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht , the Parsifal III crew learns that a charter guest from Season 2 will be returning to the boat — and it's not just any charter guest. Erica Rose and her mom, Cindi Rose , will be back, along with some friends and family joining them on Below Deck Sailing Yacht  for the first time.

The above video will refresh your memory on how much Erica and Cindi's charter group rocked the boat last season. But perhaps Captain Glenn says it best as he explains to new Below Deck Sailing Yacht chef Marcos what the crew is in for with these charter guests. "I'll put it this way," Captain Glenn says in the clip. "They were very interesting."

Daisy is definitely less discreet in her feelings about having to welcome Erica and Cindi aboard again. "This is the worst news ever. These people are disrespectful, they're exhausting, they're emotionally draining. And the biggest thing for me is they're unpredictable — that's what's scary," Daisy says in an interview in the preview. "I just don't want it."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Charter Guest Addresses His Comments to Gabriela Barragan

With Erica expecting "a higher level of service than she received last season," as Captain Glenn reads in the preference sheet, Daisy and the rest of the Parsifal III crew will certainly have their work cut out for them with this next charter. However, there is something about Erica and Cindi's return that "could be a little bit different" this time around, as Gary points out in the above sneak peek.

Find out what by signing up for Bravo Insider , above. You'll also see how stews Gabriela Barragan and Ashley Marti react to everything Daisy tells them about Erica and Cindi, as well as where Ashley and Tom Pearson stand after their drama during the crew's first night off.

'The Bachelor' Alum Erica Rose Is Back for Another Charter on 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht'

Shannon Raphael - Author

Mar. 7 2022, Updated 11:06 a.m. ET

Long before "Queen" Victoria Larson was snatching crowns on Matt James' season of The Bachelor , Erica Rose wore a bejeweled tiara to prove to that she was ready to become lead Prince Lorenzo Borghese's princess on Season 9 of the hit ABC franchise.

Though the lawyer was eliminated from the show after just three weeks, she made a lasting impression on fans. She went on to appear on the first and only season of the VH1 reality series, You're Cut Off! and she later starred on two seasons of Bachelor Pad.

Since her reality TV days, Erica has grown her family and she's continued her legal work. She made her long-anticipated return to the small screen as a charter guest on the second season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht in 2021.

After a memorable charter, Erica, her mom, and her entourage are back for another Parsifal III vacation on Season 3 of the hit Bravo series. Keep reading to find out what "Tierica" is up to now.

Erica Rose became a lawyer after Season 9 of 'The Bachelor.'

Though many contestants on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette work as models or as internet influencers after their time on the show, Erica became a real-life Elle Woods after her stint on Prince Lorenzo's season.

From 2008 to 2011, Erica attended the University of Houston Law Center. She later obtained her Master of Laws degree in Entertainment Law from Southwestern Law School. The reality alum passed the Bar exam in Texas. Erica and her husband are partners at the Rose Sanders Law Firm PLLC.

The reality star works with her husband, Charles Sanders.

Though Erica didn't find a lasting love connection on The Bachelor or on two seasons of Bachelor Pad , she has since found happiness with Charles Sanders. She wed the lawyer (who went to Thomas M. Cooley Law School) at the end of 2017, and the two had actually known one other since high school.

According to Erica, she reconnected with her now-husband when one of his cousin began " stalking " her by taking pictures of her while she was out. She said that the photos made Charles "start to think about [her]," and that they began talking once they matched on Bumble.

Charles popped the question with Erica's grandmother's ring in September of 2017. They tied the knot less than two months later.

The TV personality has changed a lot since her days on the ABC dating competition, but she some things have remained the same. She wore one of her signature tiaras to her nuptials.

Interestingly, Erica's TV ex, Prince Lorenzo, was a guest at her lavish December wedding.

After they became partners in life, Erica and and Charles became business partners. The two are also parents.

Erica Rose gave her two kids meaningful names.

Before Erica found love with Charles, she was engaged to another lawyer, Galen Gentry. The pair worked together at the Gentry Law Group, and they had a whirlwind romance. After about eight weeks of dating, Erica and Galen announced that they were engaged and that they were expecting their first child together.

Their daughter, Holland Rose Madelaine Gentry, was born in September of 2016. Erica named her daughter after her late aunt, Holly, who had passed away from Stage 4 cancer.

Not long after Holland was born, Galen and Erica ended their relationship. She began dating Charles when Holland was a few months old. He proposed at her first birthday party, which was held at the Houston Zoo.

Charles included his stepdaughter-to-be in his proposal plan. The then-one-year-old received a miniature version of her mom's ring, and the lawyer asked for her approval.

Aspen Sanders and Holland Gentry in December of 2020.

About eight months after Erica and Charles' wedding, they welcomed a daughter together named Aspen Rose Sanders. The married duo selected the moniker, in part, because they fell in love in Aspen, Colo.

"We named her Aspen because that's where we fell in love and also after my Grandfather Albert, who was a real estate developer in Aspen," Erica told E! News at the time.

The 38-year-old's two daughters are now fixtures on her Instagram feed. Though Erica does many activities with her children, they won't be joining her on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

She's appearing as a charter guest (again) on 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht.'

Nearly five years after Erica made guest appearances alongside her mom on Married to Medicine Houston, the mom of two returned to reality TV with an arc on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Erica, her mom, and six of their friends first chartered Parsifal III in the summer of 2020, and they had some dramatic moments with each other, and with second stew Alli Dore.

After an unforgettable experience on Below Deck Sailing Yacht , Erica, her mom, and a new group of guests (including Charles Sanders) have come back for another luxury yacht trip on board Parsifal III.

Captain Glenn Shephard referred to the group as "very interesting," and both Gary King and Daisy Kelliher were less than excited to see their preference sheets. Will Erica's second charter be as memorable as her first? You'll have to tune in to find out.

Exclusive: Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guest Erica Rose sets the record straight on Daisy Kelliher drama

Erica Rose opens up to Monsters & Critics about things Daisy has said on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guest Erica Rose has set the record straight on the Daisy Kelliher drama unfolding off-screen.

Erica returned to Below Deck Sailing Yacht for her second stint this week. She was joined by her husband Charles Sanders, mom Cindi Rose, and friends aboard Parsifal III.

Monsters & Critics had the opportunity to speak to Erica after her first episode aired, where she opened up about the things Daisy was saying about her.

Erica Rose sets the record straight on Daisy Kelliher drama

Erica revealed she and Daisy kept in touch after her Season 2 appearance on Below Deck Sailing Yacht through social media. They weren’t best friends, but Erica did recall Daisy reaching out after Erica lost some weight to compliment her.

“I’m not saying we were close friends, but one of those like casual, keeping in touch things,” Erica shared.

Even when Erica and her group were filming, Erica didn’t suspect that Daisy didn’t like her. Although she did feel like Daisy’s vibe was different the second time around, Erica was in the dark about Daisy’s true feelings until recently.

Erica first learned something was wrong when Daisy blocked her on Instagram.

“I thought that was really weird. Like, I wonder what’s going on?” she expressed. “That was before the episode even aired. It was like right before the season premiered. Once the season premiered, they kept plugging our episode, like our charter, you know, at the end of every episode. And then I saw an interview come out because, you know, I get Google search engine alerts, especially with our law firm. The first article came out that it was like she was dreading our charter, and they started slowly releasing that.”

The reality TV personality admitted that Daisy did keep in touch with other guests despite what Daisy said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. Erica spilled she knows the chief stew kept touch with some of the other ladies from her charter.

“So, she was blatantly lying to say she didn’t keep in touch with people,” she stated.

Erica went on to admit Daisy didn’t block her on Twitter, alluding to her still wanting to be in touch. However, Erica feels Daisy blocking her on Instagram was strategic to prevent Erica from “coming with receipts” that they had exchanged messages previously.

As for why Daisy’s attitude changed toward Erica, The Bachelor alum has no idea, but it was a shocker.

“I don’t know why her attitude changed with me, truly, but it was definitely surprising to me. I don’t think I would have come back if she had expressed it because going into it, I knew that Daisy and Gary and Colin and Captain Glenn were the only ones returning,” Erica shared.

The blonde beauty learned about the returning crew members from chef Natasha De Bourg, with whom Erica has remained friendly since Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2.

Erica would not have returned for Season 3 had she known Daisy’s true feelings about her.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Erica Rose ? Sanders (@ericatherose)

How were things between Erica and Daisy during Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 filming?

As mentioned above, Erica had no idea the animosity Daisy had towards her until the chief stew started doing interviews and tweeted about Erica during the most recent episode.

Erica opened up about filming, sharing the vibe she got from Daisy.

“She wasn’t super friendly, but at the same time, she is a professional at her job. So she wasn’t like she wasn’t going to walk around being rude,” Erica said.

It’s a reality show, and things are edited out. One thing Erica revealed was edited out was that when Daisy asked if Erica wanted someone to unpack, Erica replied, “Only if it’s not going to be a problem.” However, the scene came across as Erica requesting someone to unpack for her.

To set the record straight, Erica does pack her things when she goes on a family vacation. She doesn’t expect it to be done for her.

Erica admitted that Daisy was very good at her job, checking in on them and even taking pictures with the group.

“She’s very good at pretending to be nice to other people, and then doing things behind people’s back. And so, I guess I would have liked it more, and she probably couldn’t because of her job but if she would have shown me any indication that she was unhappy or, you know, just out of respect, instead of doing it all behind my back,” Erica expressed about Daisy’s feelings toward her.

The simple fact is, Erica wished Daisy would have kept it real. Erica referenced Allie Dore from Season 2, whom Erica admitted she could read and declared the stew never hid her feelings.

“I respect it more when someone is transparent,” she explained.

Erica Rose from Below Deck Sailing Yacht has set the record straight on the drama chief stew Daisy Kelliher.

The charter guest isn’t sure if Daisy’s actions were encouraged or if Daisy truly feels that way about her. What Erica does wish is that the chief stew would have been honest with her.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.

guest

Might want to watch Daisy’s Instagram show to get the real story. I don’t believe a word that comes out of Erica’s mouth. She’s known to be difficult to deal with and two faced since her days on The Bachelor. Just giving her version of things doesn’t make the article very believable.

James

You mean she wanted to be told how awful her behavior and especially her dorky husband’s were perceived. He seemed like an addict.

RB

Why would Daisy be happy to see such slobs return to the yacht? Both you and your husband are disrespectful and rude.

It’s B.S. she’s deflecting because she and her husband look like the vial nouveau riche scum bags they are money doesn’t buy class but it sure as hell makes feel like you can show your ass!!!!!

Below Deck Sailing Yacht: Erica Rose Charter’s Low $6,500 Tip Explained

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Charter Guest Charles Holding Some Of $6,500 Tip

The extremely low $6,500 tip Erica Rose and other charter guests gave on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 shocked viewers.

Erica Rose’s group of charter guests were a nightmare for the Parsifal III crew members the whole voyage. If anything, Erica Rose’s charter owed the BDSY crew $30,000 at least for putting up with them.

Erica Rose’s husband Charles Sanders (or Chuck) complained non-stop once getting aboard the yacht. He repeatedly insulted Chef Marcos Spaziani ‘s top notch food. Charles bragged and droned on about his life to the interior crew. He almost got in a fight with his wife Erica Rose’s hairdresser’s husband. After seeing how bad the behavior was on the plane ride, where Erica’s mom Cindi got kicked off, one guest dipped out of the trip. He skipped going on the yacht once reaching Spain. It was so bad that Charles did a now-deleted almost two-hour apology for his “despicable and disgusting” behavior. However, he didn’t believe he owed more for the tip or an apology to the crew.

And now, fans are accusing him of shortchanging and pocketing charter tip money meant for the BDSY season 3 crew! Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher also had a lot to say on what happened behind the scenes with the extremely low $6,500 tip. Meanwhile, Charles and Erica claim they contributed their fair share to the charter tip.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Charter Guests Erica Rose and Husband Charles Sanders

Below Deck Fans Accuse Erica Rose’s Husband of Pocketing Tip Money

Fans are pointing to footage of Erica Rose’s husband Charles holding onto a wad of $100 bills near the end of the charter on season 3 as proof he shorted the crew of tip money.

“Honestly, I think your husband dipped into your mum’s tip drawer!” a fan commented on one of Erica’s few Instagram pics with comments still allowed.

However, there’s a likelier explanation for why the tip only came up to $6,500. Erica Rose’s former hairdresser Janelle Flatt and her husband Rhett Kenagy revealed the tip breakdown . According to a leaked text message Janelle received from Erica, she was told the tip was included in the price of the trip.

“Our price includes tip! We can bring cash and tip extra if we want. I over tipped last time. I think the prices is ($) 5000/ per person including tip!! Not per couple,” Erica allegedly told Janelle. In another alleged text, Erica added, “So it’s like ($) 3,000 per person, the $900 required tip and then ($)1,100 airfare is how it comes out to $5,000.”

So, Erica apparently misinformed other charter guests how much tip money each guest is supposed to tip. This was Erica’s second time on the show, so she would know how much to actually tip. With the eight guests tipping only $900 each in the base price, that amounts to a total tip of $7,200.

Erica & Charles Claim Other Below Deck Charter Guests Lied & Didn’t Tip

Erica Rose and Charles Sanders on Another Below Deck Podcast claimed they personally paid the $6,500 tip. They also allege if the other charter guests had contributed to the tip the crew would’ve received $25,000. However, that math doesn’t add up. If Erica, her mom Cindi, and Chuck contributed their fair share of the $25,000 it would amount to $9,375.

below deck yacht erica rose

Apparently the other than his wife Erica and her mom Cindi, Charles didn’t know any of the other charter guests who went on the yacht trip. The behavior of Chuck, Erica and Cindi disgusted Janelle and Rhett . They maintain that Erica misled them on how the tip worked, but that they contributed their fair share of what they thought was the appropriate tip amount.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Janelle Alexis Flatt (@houstonhairbabe)

In Chuck’s apology video, he maintained that he paid his fair share and gave everything he could for the tip. He also said he was oblivious to the fact that the tip was so low when leaving the yacht. He then went on to say he felt sorry for not “picking up the slack” of the other charter guests allegedly stiffing the crew.

BDSY Season 3 Chief Stew Daisy Explains The Bad $6,500 Tip

Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher hasn’t been shy to express her disgust of Erica and Charles on her podcast Pita Party . In the most recent episode, Daisy explained how the tip wasn’t just really low, but that they also paid with obsolete and random currency.

“They didn’t even air the best part. Not only was that the tip we were given, they also gave us like Greek money, which has been redundant for the past 20 years. Greece uses the Euro. They gave us [money from] Fiji, they gave us all the scrapples [sic], is that what it’s called? You know, the shitty money you have at the bottom of a coin jar,” Daisy said.

“If you complain, then you can justify the bad tip. When actually you just can’t afford it,” Daisy further explained on why she thinks Chuck complained so much on the charter trip.

“In a real situation, with the tip they gave us, they’d be blacklisted from chartering a boat,” Daisy also said about the low tip.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Daisy (@daisykelliher87)

Below Deck Sailing Yacht alumna, fellow podcaster and new mother Alli Dore chimed in, too.

“If you hear that conversation that Rhett is having on the phone with his friend and he says Chuck said it’s his hobby to go to restaurants on the weekend and complain about the food so he gets the food for free. That was probably his goal…”

Since his apology, Charles again joked about trashing Chef Marcos’s food on Erica’s Instagram live Monday.

“Once again I went to McDonald’s, and we know every single time that we go to McDonald’s it’s going to be quality food. Just like it was this time. Good quality food every time,” Chuck said, grinning at the camera.

“Online bullying is a real thing, and you shouldn’t be rewarded for that,” Daisy said. She believes Erica, her mom Cindi and husband Chuck shouldn’t be allowed back on the show.

Erica and Charles Excuse His Bad Behavior As Acting

Despite giving a half-hearted apology after Erica got mad at him, Chuck also claims he was putting on an act.

“At that point I had gotten into the character, I couldn’t stop myself at that point.”

Erica Rose claims producers encouraged Charles to be as rude as possible, and that the drama is scripted .

“I definitely can’t control my husband. But I think if people realize that he was acting and participating along with producers and what they wanted him to do, maybe that will help explain things,” she said.

Erica is a longtime super fan of reality TV, appearing on The Bachelor , Bachelor Pad , and Dr. Phil before being a charter guest on Below Deck Sailing Yacht seasons 2 and 3. She also became a lawyer in the past few years, shares a law practice with her husband and wants to have her own law show like Judge Judy.

Screen Rant

Will erica rose appear on below deck sailing yacht season 4.

Famed charter guest of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Erica Rose, has caused a lot of drama, and could make an appearance on season 4 for old time's sake.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is back on the high seas with numerous charter guests signed up for an experience of a lifetime, and Erica Rose may be among them. Last season, Erica and her husband, Charles Sanders, were blasted for acting exceptionally rude. At the time, the couple was given the title of the worst charter guests in Below Deck history.

Erica first made her appearance on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 when she enjoyed a girls' trip with her nearest and dearest. Her mother, Cindi Rose, also tagged along as the kooky sidekick. The trip was classified as a vacation meant to bring their girl group closer, but in the end, it became a scene from Mean Girls with Erica leading the charge. On top of the fighting, Erica's diva attitude and high-maintenance desires, which included on-the-spot massages, left the crew counting down the hours until she departed.

Erica Rose Doesn't Appear In The Below Deck Sailing Yacht Trailer

Even though it's highly unlikely that Erica will return to Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 due to her bad manners and lack of an appearance in the trailer, there's always a chance she'll come back. Even though Erica was easy to paint as a villain, her episodes did bring high ratings to the series. However, suppose Erica had signed up for a charter experience. In that case, it's most likely that Bravo would've hinted at Erica's return, especially since she and her husband tipped the lowest amount last season, causing an uproar amongst the crew members.

Erica Rose Shows No Signs On Instagram

Erica, the lover of everything pink, also hasn't made any hints on her social media about another Below Deck Sailing Yacht appearance. The current season was filmed between the summer and fall months, but former charter guest Erica didn't share an uploaded photo of any vacation on her Instagram. Erica has shared photos of a ski trip, make-up tutorials, and Starbucks trips, but no photos that show her bossing anyone around on a mega yacht.

One thing is for sure, the crew of the Parsifal III will be ecstatic not to see Erica or her family in the near future. This ensures the crew that they will get more than the $6,500 tip Erica and Charles left for them last season. There is still a jammed-pack season ahead for Below Deck Sailing Yacht , which could showcase even more interesting guests than Erica and her nouveau riche ways.

10 Below Deck Charter Guests Who Will Never Return To The Franchise

  • Some charter guests on Below Deck have caused unnecessary drama and won't likely return due to bad behavior.
  • Captain Glenn Shephard from Below Deck Sailing Yacht faced backlash from Barrie, who called him two-faced.
  • Former guest Dr. Francis Martinis will not return to Below Deck after he was arrested for faking prescriptions.

The Below Deck franchise has featured many charter guests since 2013, many of whom will never return . The Bravo series focuses on expensive charters with wealthy guests who have attitude problems and over-the-top demands. That includes Charter guest Alexis Bellino, who boarded Captain Lee Rosbach’s yacht with her boyfriend at the time, Andy Bohn. She was disrespectful and made everyone uncomfortable with her and Andy's PDA. She even insulted crew members after featuring on the show.

Like Alexis, Delores Flora from Below Deck season 8 was a terrible guest. Not only did she misbehave, but she also got drunk and s wam while intoxicated, which is not only not allowed, it frightened the crew members. Delores got kicked out of the yacht the next day. These guests created unnecessary drama on the boat and will likely never return like a few others from the franchise.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Barrie & tony, below deck sailing yacht.

Barrie and Tony Drewitt Barlow had a decent time in the Below Deck Sailing Yacht seasons 2 and 3. Despite that, they left with a bitter taste because of Captain Glenn Shephard. In 2021, Barrie participated in a podcast, Pita Party: The Podcast , where he claimed that Captain Glenn bothered him while using his phone .

Barrie said, “he (Captain Glenn) was a two-face b*stard,” adding that he just didn’t like his presence.

Below Deck Mediterranean

In Below Deck Mediterranean season 7, Charter guest Frank Fay had a thing for second stew Kyle Viljoen. He pursued him on the yacht, but unfortunately, their relationship didn’t last. Frank will likely never return to the series as long as Captain Sandy Yawn allows Kyle to work for her. Even if Kyle quits, Frank wouldn’t want to be in an environment that would remind him of his failed relationship.

Erica Rose appeared on Below Deck Sailing Yacht two seasons in a row. Erica was highly offensive toward the crew member, as well as her husband, Charles Sanders, and to make things worse, she left the crew with a measly tip , leading fans to slam her on social media. Ultimately, Erica had to apologize for her bad attitude but never returned to give the crew the tip they deserved. Nobody on Below Deck Sailing Yacht would ever want to return.

Justin Guarini

Justin Guarini’s time on Below Deck Sailing Yacht was not dramatic at all; however, he’ll probably never return to the series. Justin wouldn’t return because he wasn't the primary guest. He joined his friend, Kim, who wanted to enjoy a luxury yacht trip. It was more of a one-and-done deal. Secondly, nobody recognized him at all. Viewers later realized who he was and how he was the runner-up on American Idol season 1. Justin is a theatre artist and has made a name for himself. However, it was embarrassing that so many fans had no clue who he was .

Johnny Damon’s time at Below Deck Med was full of explosive moments. Once, he sent the food back, citing that the experience wasn’t “five stars.” On another occasion, his wife, Michelle, created drama by yelling at the owner of another yacht . Overall, the experience was simply terrible on both sides. Crew members didn’t love Johnny and his wife, and the couple didn’t respect the crew members. It is unlikely that Captain Sandy would want to host the couple again as long as she’s in charge.

Krystal Murphy

Former charter guest Krystal Murphy boarded Captain Lee’s yacht with her friends. She immediately began showing red flags, drinking, and just being a menace. Krystal fought with her friend, Chelsea, creating unnecessary drama. She even passed out and punched a friend in the face. Former Chief Stew Kate Chastain disliked serving Krystal and called her a “spoiled brat;” she wanted to throw her off the yacht. Nowadays, Krystal has seemingly become a more private person. It doesn’t seem like Krystal would want to be on TV again.

Steve Bradley

Below Deck fans should remember Steve Bradley as he made many appearances on the show. In Below Deck season 3, he wanted a foam party and demanded the crew to figure it out and follow his commands, acting like a king. In Below Deck season 6, Steve made more outrageous requests. Apart from being a wild guest, Steve was entitled and acted inappropriately at times . No Below Deck captain would want to host him again as he didn't come off as very likable.

Dr. Francis Martinis

Dr. Francis Martinis from Below Deck Med and Below Deck Sailing Yacht has a zero chance of returning. While the former charter guest didn’t have too many issues on the show, his personal life issues will stop him from appearing on Bravo again. According to TMZ , Dr. Francis and his wife, Jessica, were arrested for filling out fake prescriptions in December 2023 . The couple used the names of Below Deck stars and got caught red-handed. The Below Deck franchise would never want to welcome felons, especially when their mugshots are all over the internet.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.

‘Below Deck’ Sails Into a New Era

With a different captain at the helm and new production elements, the reality show about charter yachts is switching up its style.

Starting a new season of “ Below Deck ” can be similar to returning to summer camp as a kid — you know it’s going to be fun and that you’ll be in the same environment, but some of the people will be different and you’re not quite sure what the vibes will be.

This time around, in particular, feels that way because for the first time in the show’s 11-season run, Captain Lee Rosbach is no longer at the helm. It’s a pivotal moment for a franchise that has become one of the most popular entities in the sprawling universe of reality TV since premiering on Bravo in 2013 . The show’s appeal was built on endless romances between various crew members (“boatmances,” as they came to be known), horrible charter guests and some sort of passive-aggressive fight about how many shackles of the anchor chain should be in the water. And there was always Rosbach presiding over the drama as he trudged around the boat, reeling off one liners like “I’m madder than a pissed-on chicken” and “we screwed the pooch so many times we should have a litter of puppies running around.”

At the center of the show now is Kerry Titheradge (the stern yet goofy captain of “Below Deck Adventure” fame), who is managing the Motor Yacht Saint David with the cheeky chief stew Fraser Olender by his side.

With that change in captain, the energy on the boat — both onscreen and off — is different, according to Olender.

“I feel like Kerry this season, as opposed to Lee, has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” Olender said in an interview. “With Kerry, he taught me a lot and sort of forced to me confront issues directly with my team, work them out, as opposed to making executive decisions too soon.”

This shift in management style changes the central conflict — whereas the drama once focused on the captain swiftly kicking out any unpleasant crew member (as we might have seen with Rosbach), the drama now focuses on the whole crew trying to get along (since Titheradge gives people those second chances).

Additionally, Olender noted that the captain’s relationship with the crew can also affect the drama on board.

“Captains absolutely do get involved, whether they know it or not,” Olender said, adding that for the crew, everything is about “trying to impress your captain.”

This phenomenon plays out early in the new season when the lead deckhand, Ben Willoughby, called out a fellow crew member over the radios about not wearing a life vest — something he easily could have done in private. The drama that followed became an interpersonal conflict between the two of them, both with the ultimate goal of impressing Titheradge. (Of course, the two deckhands had kissed on the previous crew night out, which is more in line with the “Below Deck” drama viewers are used to.)

For “Below Deck” showrunners, the changeovers in the cast allowed them to rethink what the show would look like.

From the season premiere, it was immediately apparent that Rosbach’s absence wasn’t the only change this season: The filming is sleeker, the daily, multicourse meals prepared by the chef are given their own glamour shots and the cameras sometimes cut to the perspectives of yachties running around on deck and through the galley.

“Our showrunner, Lauren Simms, is an avid consumer of all different kinds of media,” Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, said in an interview. “She pitches us different ideas on how to stylistically evoke different feelings and change the mood a little bit of ‘Below Deck’ without removing what really works.”

Moving through the rest of the season, and potentially through seasons to come, Olender is aiming to bring a cutthroat management style while also bringing affection for his stews, all with his signature British humor.

On Bravo’s side, there are changes in the works for the other “Below Deck” spinoffs — including “Sailing Yacht,” “Mediterranean” and “Down Under” — which collectively, have 26 seasons. Specifically, Samton said that “Down Under” is currently filming and that even though fans should be ready to see new things, the show will stay true to its original concept.

“These are real yachties doing a real job so you have to stay within those confines because the audience isn’t going to want anything that is too produced or fake,” Samton said. “So we have to find ways to reinvent while staying true to the original concept of the show.”

And as Olender said: “I’m sure that every year if I were to work with this franchise again, that I’ll be thrown a collection of total chaotic and disastrous stews — that’s what makes it watchable.”
