No wonder it's been dubbed 'the Bentley of the Sea' by the maker.

These pictures show the 33ft Riva Aquariva Super, which has been the ultimate symbol of glamour and style since it launched more than half a century ago.

The eye-catching $700,000 (£500,000) motorboat has been a star attraction at the London Boat Show this week. Each vessel is decked out with leather and lashed with 20 coats of Stoppani varnish, giving the stunning boat - capable of 50mph - a glass-like appearance.

Luxury boats worth millions of pounds are the main attraction at the Boat Show, but it also featured some of the latest toys or gadgets for wealthy buyers.

Among the must-have accessories displayed at the show are amphibious cars, a high-performance personal watercraft that can do a top speed of nearly 75mph and a device that allows riders to swim in the sea like a dolphin.

Gadgets on display included the Seabob F5 S, which propels riders at an underwater speed of nearly 10mph at depths of 131ft, the Sea-Doo RXT-X 300, which is a personal watercraft with a top speed of just under 75mph and the Tim Dutton amphibious cars, which costs buyers around £18,958.

The eyes of the luxury yacht world are on Britain's capital with the launch of the London Boat Show, which is bringing wealthy buyers and enthusiasts under one roof.

The 10-day event kicked off on Friday with the world debut of Sunseeker 131, a 131ft superyacht that British firm Sunseeker International unveiled with help from Downton Abbey actor Hugh Bonneville and The Overtones.

While the ribbon-cutting took place with much pomp and circumstance inside ExCel London, in the Docklands, the hulking vessel - valued at more than £16million, plus VAT - is so big it is moored at a dock outside the venue in east London.

Tens of thousands of visitors will attend to broker a deal on an expensive yacht or get a look inside the luxury vessels they could only dream of purchasing

Of all the yachts making their debut, the tri-deck Sunseeker 131 was the most anticipated as it's by far the largest, most expensive and most luxurious vessel on display.

It's the largest superyacht to ever debut at the London Boat Show.

The shipbuilder said the five-cabin yacht is in such demand that the first five have already sold.

More than 90 vessels are making their world, European or UK debut at this year's show, with thousands of boats and brands on display until the extravaganza ends on 17 January.

BOLSHOI THEATRE

One of the world’s finest opera and ballet halls is returning to active service this year.

The Bolshoi Theatre, the second largest opera house in Europe, is one of the most instantly recognizable monuments in the Russian capital. The opera house has been in existence since 1776, and despite several fires and a bomb attack, the theatre’s Classical Greek design is still very impressive. The Theatre has a varied ballet and opera program, many of which are traditional Russian performances, such as Swan Lake and the Nutcracker. Currently, the main stage of the Bolshoi Theatre is closed while it undergoes a $730m renovation that will see the theatre reemerge as one of the world’s top opera halls. During the early part of 2011, shows will still be available at the Bolshoi Theatre’s New Stage.

When the company that produces Imperia Vodka announced that it would be opening a club in Moscow in 2010, it caused a stir amongst Muscovites.

Since vodka is the national drink in Russia, any announcement from one of the country’s main distributors was likely to create a buzz, and with Imperia Lounge, the hype was justified. Floor-to-ceiling screens project lasers and graphics onto the walls and the clientele is almost entirely made up of Russian models and celebrities. The club has one of the toughest door policies in town and exercises the legendary Moscow face-control, so you’ll really have to impress to get past that velvet rope. Once inside you’ll see why Imperia Lounge is the place to see and be seen. The multi-level industrial space features wall-mounted LCD displays and go-go dancers suspended on circular pedestals above sunken lounge spaces, together with a cool VIP deck. The music is supplied by some of the hottest DJs around, making it one of the coolest dance floors in Moscow. It gets hot and sweaty so be prepared for a crush!

Pleasantly surprised, service is good so is the food. Great selection of Fusion food, a mixture of Italian, Japanese, European, Asian etc. A pleasantly nice dining experience, highly recommended, a must try!

Had to wait for the food for 1.5 hours and then another 20 minutes for the check. Finally called for the manager and he offered... a 10% discount as a compensation. Simply pathetic! The food is mediocre at best. Not bad per se, but one... would expect something better considering the prices. There are many places to eat in area that are much better. Avoid this one at all costs. Food is very expensive,very pretentious, doesn't worth that money. Portions are very small. We ordered ravioli and there were 4! Four raviolis! For almost 15 euros. Then we asked to bring us dessert menu but nothing, they didn't even bothered, so we payed and left... without dessert. Very poor service for that price. More

This is a very good restaurant. The food is really good, maybe the best in Moscow. The service is also good. The view from the restaurant is great. The prices are very high.

I often visit this restaurant and must say it’s one of the best in Moscow in terms of quality and service. Staff really try hard to make sure that you are happy and satisfied. Customer service is a huge problem in Moscow but Chaika sets... a great example for others in the industry! Food is delicious and the menu has lots of options for everyone! Visited this lovely restaurant with a friend of mine. It was relaxingly warm August evening - so the place on the river seemed like a good idea. We came quite early and the restaurant was not full. The hostesses kindly offered several places to sit... and we chose to sit on the sofas. We had some wine, which was good. We struggled a bit when deciding about the food as few options (scallops) were not available. Fish on ice on display did not look very fresh. To be honest it was an unusually hot August and it is probably understandable that some see food options were not available. However, we did manage to order something and sat waiting and looking onto the river. My long-legged friend struggled sitting at the low sofa and the manager noticed that, offering as a very good, proper table beside the open window. It was nice touch and I was very pleased by their polite observations and immediate reaction to solve the problem. Food was quite good and presentation was perfect. Perhaps I can something about the food, but 1 visit is not enough to criticize or make a definitive opinion. Overall, quality place, which of course, does not come cheap. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. More
