Luxury Mega Yacht TOPAZ

Launched in 2012, TOPAZ (147.25m, 483ft) is a custom-built luxury motor yacht constructed by Lürssen in Bremen, Germany, estimated to have cost £400 million to build – around US$527 million.

TOPAZ is among the largest private luxury yachts in the world and is owned by billionaire Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and member of the Abu Dhabi Royal Family. He is also owner of the Manchester City football club.

TOPAZ has been designed to accommodate up to 62 guests in 26 cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 79 crew.

The Tim Heywood-designed vessel features a steel displacement hull, an aluminium superstructure and consists of eight decks. The eight decks are connected by a lift that provides access to the helicopter and swimming platforms, and to a fully equipped gym with the latest in sports technology. It is equipped a swimming pool, two Jacuzzis, a conference room, movie theatre and two helipads.

TOPAZ boasts tender boats that can be reached from both sides of the ship, or through the stern, where there is a terrace and a large deck with stairs to provide access to the water as well as a variety of water toys stored in the hold: jet skis, inflatable boats, catamaran and a mini-submarine.

TOPAZ'S cruising speed is 22.9 knots and the maximum speed is estimated to be around 25.5 knots. The megayacht also has stabilizers to ensure comfort on board when the yacht at anchor, particularly in rough water.

Its manufacturers and designers have not disclosed details of its interior, given it's owned by a member of the Royal Family, however, it is known that Disdale was briefed to create an informal "beach house" style of décor.

1 Hour - Moonshadow Sailing Adventure

Rumoured to be Cape Town’s most beautiful monohull, Moonshadow is a once-off 40 foot yacht with a sleek black hull, varnished wood finishes and distinct black sails which put her in a league of her own. Designed as a ‘day sailor’, Moonshadow is perfect for shorter trips up and Table Bay’s coastline. Moonshadow sails out of ‘The Water Club’ in Granger Bay, perfectly situated to explore Clifton’s white sandy beaches, a journey into the open Atlantic or to sail around Robben Island.

2 Hour - Tigger Power Catamaran

<p>The Tigger 2 Royale is a 55 foot luxury catamaran cruiser that is currently the flagship of the charter industry with her beautifully streamlined exterior and plush white leather interior. She can cater for 70 guests maximum and has hosted many celebrity status clients since being launched. She also caters for individuals, corporates and special functions, e.g weddings, and is without a doubt the best cruising option for the discerning client. The Tigger 2 Royale offers a main dining area and an upper chill lounge that can be converted into a dining area if required and she can seat 39 guests maximum inside for a plated luncheon or dinner at one sitting.</p>

3 Hour - The Impossible Machine (TIM)

Get ready to step back in time with this unique historical sailing vessel …. The Howard Davis was designed by Kurt Oehlman and built by Louw and Halvorson as a purpose built naval training vessel in Iroko wood. She was designed with a large saloon with all round visibility to make it suitable for teaching a class of upcoming navigators. Launched in 1965 at Quay 4 in the Victoria Basin. She spent the next 25 years based at Granger Bay in service with the Academy, during which time she was used for sail training and navigational exercises. In 1971 she was used as guard ship for the first Cape to Rio yacht race under the command of Captain Phil Nankin; and subsequently completed several Atlantic Ocean crossings to South America. In 1991 due to restructuring in the budget as well as the training syllabus of the Academy, she was sold into the private sector. The current owner has done extensive renovations, passed all Sea Expectance tests and she is once again ready for the open ocean. She has now being repurposed as a recreational vessel known as The Impossible Machine (TIM) Sailing Vessel.

2 Hour - Motor Yacht Sherilyn

Built by the renowned Ferretti shipyard in Italy, she is 76 feet of floating luxury. Sherilyn’s exterior is sleek and modern, while her interior is luxurious and functional. Her salon exudes a sense of elegance and comfort, featuring a large U-shaped sofa and coffee table, multimedia sound system and an ample eight-seater dining table. Ferretti yachts are designed with speed and comfort in mind. 'SHERILYN'S' interior is luxurious and functional, her 4 ensuite cabins are spacious and well-appointed and her layout is suited to any type of function. A competent and qualified crew consists of a skipper, two deck hands and when required, a hostess or barman handles the drinks and catering for guests. Safety equipment includes a life raft, life jackets and 2-way radios. The Waterfront and the maritime authorities' safety standards commonly known as the compulsory SAMSA regulations are strictly adhered to.

Motor-Yacht (M/Y) Topaz is a 60 ft vessel crafted in Plymouth, England by the world prestigious Princess Yachts Limited. She is fitted with three beautiful cabins and a saloon featuring the highest quality fittings and finishes. The Princess V58, designed to maximise pleasure and comfort without compromising on style. Its spacious cockpit with electric opening hard-top offers a magnificent area for relaxing and entertaining, while the interior layout provides all the comforts you need for luxurious onboard living. Topaz has a maximum capacity of 12 pax, 8 pax is recommended for comfort and when having a sit down meal. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 galley, 2 lounge areas, 1 bar, 3 TV’s with professional sound system and 2 sun loungers.

Alternatively, you are welcome to arrange your own catering for a truly customised onboard dining experience.

Indulge in your favorite tunes with the onboard sound system featuring a USB / Bluetooth connection, allowing you to bring your own music and set the perfect ambiance.

If you prefer a professional touch, we have a selection of DJs on our supplier list and can assist in arranging their services. In addition, Cape Town-based Singer/Entertainer details are available upon request.

Should you choose to bring your own DJ, they will need to provide their own equipment and speakers.

Experience the scenic beauty aboard our yacht by starting at Granger Bay and cruising past the iconic lighthouse towards Clifton Beach. Enjoy breathtaking views of Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles. Clifton Beach is perfect for anchoring, relaxation, and indulging in snacks and drinks. The captain will consider weather conditions when deciding to explore Table Bay.

The cruise route may be influenced by weather conditions and is at the captain's discretion. Safety and exceptional service are our top priorities. Rest assured, a thorough weather briefing will be conducted prior to your charter to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Attire based on the event from casual to formal. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, a jersey or windbreaker as well as swimwear. No shoes allowed when entering the inside of the yacht (No exceptions)
