Built in 2013, W boasts a multitude of decks ideal for relaxation and entertainment indoors or outdoors, ensuring guests will live la dolce vita on the open waters. Her features include an elevator and gym.

Feadship Larisa Unveiled and Renamed W After Major Refit

With over 200 superyachts built and roots dating back to 1849, Dutch shipbuilder Feadship has earned a prestigious reputation for building some of the finest superyachts on the water today. Last week though, Feadship flexed its prowess in the field of pedigree refits as the 57.6m superyacht W emerged from its Makkum facility after ten months of work.

Originally launched as Larisa seven years ago , W now dons a striking new metallic silver hull and major interior upgrades while retaining the coveted features of a classic Feadship build. 

“After buying W in 2019 I set out to not only refit my newly acquired Feadship to my specific requirements but to also renew her in every possible respect while ensuring that she remained 100% a Feadship, ” comments her experienced owner.

“Owning a Feadship gives one an enormous sense of pride and I am convinced that the only way to retain full Feadship pedigree is to access the formidable talents and capabilities of the entire Feadship organisation. It was wonderful to be able to bring her back to the Netherlands and know that she would be upgraded by many of the same people that actually created her seven years ago. No one in the world knows a Feadship like the people that actually built her and that shows in the exceptional results of this refit project. ” 

As well as new livery and antifouling, W ’s time in the shed sees her emerge with two more staterooms, a larger Jacuzzi on sun deck and modifications to her interior layout. This allows four extra guests to stay in her six cabins, and increases the total POB capacity with crew from 22 to 26. W’s main deck lounge has been re-envisioned to make for a more open and uniformed space, while the former VIP stateroom on lower deck has been converted into two guest suites to port and starboard. 

The interior craftsmanship of Bannenberg & Rowell, who first styled the yacht in 2013, has been largely retained, complemented by various additions made by the owner together with Fort Lauderdale-based A La Mer, Inc. 

W has also seen various upgrades in her technical capabilities, with all major systems upgraded to that of a new build launched today. This includes comprehensive upgrades to the wheelhouse, on-board lighting switched from halogen to LEDs, renewed AV and IT systems, overhauled engines and other smaller maintenance jobs. 

Feadship was able to exercise considerable flexibility in completing the project, working with the owners’ team and undertaking the initial project in Aalsmeer and the dry-docking phase in Makkum. 

As can be expected, the health and travel situation surrounding the COVID pandemic of course presented its own unique set of challenges to overcome. 

“An additional challenge was the need to have travel restrictions lifted before key crew members could rejoin the vessel,” explains project manager Hans van der Wiel. “ The owner was very impressed with how these unprecedented issues were handled, especially because much of the refit had to proceed with only ‘remote’ consultations possible with his team. The owner’s original decision to send W from the Med to the Netherlands for the project based on Feadship’s unrivalled reputation for keeping to agreements has been fully validated. ”

Undertaking W ’s refit with the same yard that launched her was also motivated by the owner’s desire for her to remain in every way a Feadship, even after re-launch. “The owner is delighted that the end result does not look like a refit – you really would feel that W was built this way in the first place.” adds Van der Wiel. 

W begins her second life on the water with a fresh new look, layout, and a Feadship Authenticity Certificate under her belt. This quality affirmation is granted to Feadships refitted or maintained under the My Feadship programme, and offers official recognition of top condition to the owner’s peace of mind, as well as adding to the resale value.

Superyacht W welcomes up to 10 guests in the comfort of five sumptuous staterooms. The main deck master stateroom is a haven complete with its own private balcony. It is the perfect private retreat for morning coffee or a book. The expansive suite also features a lounge, a large walk-in closet with a dressing room, a plush king-size bed and a lavish en-suite bath. Below deck, the superyacht features two VIP staterooms with king beds and two convertible twin staterooms. Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.

NFL Draft future locations for 2025, 2026 and beyond

Where will the NFL Draft be going in the next few years?

Once upon a time, there wasn't much excitement about where the NFL Draft was being held. From 1964-2014, the draft was held in New York City, most often at the famed Radio City Music Hall. In 2015 and 2016, the NFL Draft location was then moved to Chicago, IL. But since then in the years after, the draft has been held at various host cities connected to NFL teams.

That began with the 2017 NFL Draft which was held in Philadelphia, PA at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. In the coming years, the draft has gone to Arlington, TX; Nashville, TN; Cleveland, OH; Las Vegas, NV; and Kansas City, MO. The 2020 draft during the COVID-19 pandemic was held virtually, most notably with Roger Goodell seemingly hosting from his mancave at his home.

This new movement from the league, though, has put some real emphasis on NFL Draft locations, so let's take a look at where the draft will be held moving forward, or where it could be held in the future.

Where is the 2024 NFL Draft location?

The 2024 NFL Draft is being held in Detroit, Michigan, the first time that the draft has been hosted by the Motor City. Instead of the event being held at the home of the Lions, however, we will instead see the stage and the selections being made at Campus Meritus Park in downtown Detroit, which should allow for more fans to attend the proceedings on Thursday through Saturday for all 256 picks.

Future NFL Draft location for 2025

The 2025 NFL Draft will be located in Green Bay, WI and will be hosted at historic Lambeau Field. While there have been some concerns about the city's infrastructure being able to host the large crowds of fans that show up for the draft every year, the league deciding to go to one of the most legendary NFL venues for the draft -- and back-to-back NFC North towns, it should be noted -- should make for an unforgettable draft experience.

Predicting future NFL Draft locations for 2026, 2027 and 2028

The official draft locations beyond 2025 have not yet been announced, but we do have some intel. Pittsburgh has submitted a claim , per reports, to host either the 2026 or 2027 NFL Draft. That would make a ton of sense, which I expect the league to agree with and award the Steel City the 2026 draft there, which is reflected in the above predictions.

Beyond that, we're going a bit off of the board here. We saw the league head to Las Vegas in 2022 for the draft, so going to another lively and party-friendly city like New Orleans feels like a logical step that the NFL could take for the 2027 NFL Draft. The year after, things could be turning over a new leaf with the Washington Commanders, and a draft being held in the nation's capital could be quite a fun spectacle.

Had to wait for the food for 1.5 hours and then another 20 minutes for the check. Finally called for the manager and he offered... a 10% discount as a compensation. Simply pathetic! The food is mediocre at best. Not bad per se, but one... would expect something better considering the prices. There are many places to eat in area that are much better. Avoid this one at all costs. Food is very expensive,very pretentious, doesn't worth that money. Portions are very small. We ordered ravioli and there were 4! Four raviolis! For almost 15 euros. Then we asked to bring us dessert menu but nothing, they didn't even bothered, so we payed and left... without dessert. Very poor service for that price. More

Visited this lovely restaurant with a friend of mine. It was relaxingly warm August evening - so the place on the river seemed like a good idea. We came quite early and the restaurant was not full. The hostesses kindly offered several places to sit... and we chose to sit on the sofas. We had some wine, which was good. We struggled a bit when deciding about the food as few options (scallops) were not available. Fish on ice on display did not look very fresh. To be honest it was an unusually hot August and it is probably understandable that some see food options were not available. However, we did manage to order something and sat waiting and looking onto the river. My long-legged friend struggled sitting at the low sofa and the manager noticed that, offering as a very good, proper table beside the open window. It was nice touch and I was very pleased by their polite observations and immediate reaction to solve the problem. Food was quite good and presentation was perfect. Perhaps I can something about the food, but 1 visit is not enough to criticize or make a definitive opinion. Overall, quality place, which of course, does not come cheap. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. More

Patrick Mahomes ' wife, Brittany , really is a bikini model now -- the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie put her stunning body on display during her vacation in Mexico ... and flaunted some serious underboob in the process.

The Kansas City Chiefs superstar and his longtime partner had a romantic trip in Cabo San Lucas over the past several days ... but on Sunday, it was all about the girls.

Brittany was spotted on a luxurious yacht with at least four other ladies ... soaking up the sun as they lounged on the back deck.

Britt rocked a tiny, orange two-piece for the occasion ... which is something she's quite accustomed to lately, as she was named to SI's newest swimsuit issue back in February.

No word on what all the ladies got into ... but chances are they had Taylor Swift 's new 'Tortured Poets Department' album blaring on the speakers, considering Brittany was super pumped for Travis Kelce 's girlfriend when the project dropped.

It was quite the eventful trip for the Mahomeses -- as we previously reported, the couple was heckled by Raiders fans while out at dinner together last week.

The Mona Lisa Is Going Underground

The Louvre is eyeing a new home for Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa . According to a new report , the museum’s crown jewel is at the center of renovation plans aimed at quelling “disappointment” over the artwork’s crowded viewing experience. Per the French newspaper Le Figaro, the da Vinci masterpiece—currently housed in the museum’s Denon wing—would be relocated to its own separate chamber in the basement of the institution.

Reportedly, the renovation would allow guests to bypass the famous glass pyramid entrance in favor of two underground entry points: one for the Mona Lisa and the other for temporary exhibitions. The budget for the museum’s overhaul is estimated to be €500 million but could see a potential reduction due to efforts by French President Emmanuel Macron to curb state spending.

“We don’t welcome visitors very well in this room, so we feel we’re not doing our job properly,” Laurence des Cars, director of the Louvre, explained. “Moving the Mona Lisa to a separate room could put an end to public disappointment.” de Cars also mentioned that the renovation would allow guests to have a more pleasurable viewing experience with the other works that are kept near the Mona Lisa , like Veronese’s The Wedding Feast at Cana , which she says is obscured by selfie poles.

Vincent Delieuvin, the Louvre’s chief curator of 16th-century Italian painting, echoed de Cars’s statement. “We’ve been thinking about it for a long time, but this time everyone is in agreement,” he told Le Figaro, adding that “It’s a large room, and the Mona Lisa is at the back, behind its security glass, so at first glance it looks like a postage stamp.”

The painting, which depicts the Italian noblewoman Lisa del Giocondo, receives around 30,000 visitors daily with wait times that can run up to two hours. It is kept behind bullet-proof and anti-reflective glass which, in addition to temperature and humidity settings, can cause quite an unpleasant viewing experience. No wonder online reviews of the portrait often deem it as “the world’s most disappointing masterpiece.” Art lovers have also long complained that the painting overshadows the other artwork displayed nearby.

In January, the Mona Lisa was at the center of a protest in which activists from Riposte Alimentaire threw pumpkin soup at the painting. While the painting was not damaged, the country’s culture minister Rachida Dati called the event an “attack” on “our heritage.” Looks like a new home might be the best for all parties.
