Originally an old fish shack, American Fish Co. can be found in the heart of historic Southport’s Yacht Basin.
The shack at the foot of Yacht Basin Drive has gone through many changes in it’s storied lifetime. The History of “American Fish Company”, just as enticing as the views, dates back as far as the 1940’s. In 1970 the property was used to run commercial fishing boats. In 1978 the property changed hands and from 1978 to 2003 it was run as a fully operational commercial fishing facility where fisherman continued to unload their catch of grouper, snapper, swordfish and flounder for locals and mainland markets. In 2003 a local businessman bought the business and in 2009 opened the doors once again as the pub you see today.
American Fish Company, with it’s storied past, now serves cold beverages on the water with a breathtaking view you have to experience to believe.

Lure has been a Soho fixture since it opened in 2004. It's in a subterranean room designed to look like a really nice boat, and it's where you go to enjoy a scene and eat pricey yet more-than-competent sushi alongside an unreasonably good burger.
Lure serves many functions: It’s where a certain button-downs-and-shiny-shoes crowd goes for dinner before hitting the club on a Saturday night, and it's where downtown suits head for a business-class lunch. It’s also a great place to go when someone else is paying, and it’s the spot where locals hang at the bar for oysters and a burger. It’s quite the scene, and it's still one of the best People Watching restaurants in New York City. No one really talks about Lure as a hot spot anymore, but business appears to better than ever.
Much of Lure’s menu is tried and true, and some of it has even improved with age. You can’t beat the crispy rice with spicy tuna, and the burger alone—with its salty-sweet bacon onion jam—makes this place worth a visit. You can go steak, you can go fish, you can go raw bar, or you can just come to drink. The bottom line is: You'll spend around $80 per person for a full dinner, and you'll probably leave happy.

Food & drink, floating seafood bar and eatery heading to pier 81 on the hudson river.
HELL’S KITCHEN — A floating seafood lounge is joining lobster boat North River Lobster Company on the Hudson River.
Fish Bar at North River Landing — a three-story bar and restaurant on a 10,000-square-foot yacht — will open at Pier 81 on West 41st Street this Sunday, New York Cruise Lines said in a release .
Like the lobster eatery, which is the “largest floating lobster shack in New York City,” Fish Bar will set sail on the river a few times each day when it isn’t docked at the pier, the release said.
Along with salads and starters, the restaurant will serve an “overture of shared plates,” including Plymouth Rock oysters in a cornmeal crust with sriracha lime butter for $17, a black truffle burrata with heirloom tomato and balsamic glaze for $19 and octopus with red pepper and capers in a red wine reduction for $24.
Entrees will range in price from $19 for a plate of rustic roasted vegetables to $62 for Dover sole with herb meunière, the restaurant’s menu shows.
In addition to its seafood offerings, Fish Bar will offer more than 20 craft beers and 26 champagnes, along with boutique wines and “farm to cocktail” drinks.
The yacht that houses the lounge has an outdoor deck “for taking in sunsets and city views,” and an interior with a “contemporary nautical atmosphere,” the release said.
“We have been eagerly awaiting the launch of our second floating restaurant concept and are confident that this new venue will quickly earn its title as one of the best urban rooftops and waterfront social settings in Manhattan, New York Cruise Lines CEO Daniel Boockvar said in a statement.

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital
There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.
How to find the right boat?
There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.
Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.
This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.
Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such option offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).
If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.
Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.
How to buy tickets?
Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.
“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!” wrote (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.
Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.
Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.
Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.
Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as this offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.
This website (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other website sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.
Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.
“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.
There are two main boarding piers in the city center: Hotel Ukraine and Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.
Where to sit onboard?
Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.
The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.
Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.
There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.

This is our Heavy Duty, all-purpose fishing, T-Bar. It is an all weld design that requires no assembling of the T-Bar itself. Simply mount the base anywhere on your boat and attach the T-Bar, using two(2) 3/8-16 Hex Bolts. We are looking for the best rooftop bars Moscow’s. Another winter is in the books and Moscow’s citizens are looking to spend as much time outdoors as possible. In this period Moscow transforms itself into an outdoor city filled with trendy destinations to enjoy long days and cool nights. Indeed, as the sky in Moscow is one of the most astonishing that I’ve ever seen, summer here is all about rooftop terraces with fantastic views.
Here is a selection of the coolest bars and restaurants on top of Moscow’s sprawling buildings.
Strelka Bar:
Strelka is definitely a summer must and it’s one of my favorite. It’s located in the center of Bolotny Island, right opposite the Christ the Savior Cathedral. Food and drinks are great, guests can choose from an extensive cocktail list and an international menu. There’s a beautiful spacious terrace with an amazing view that overlooks the Moscow river. Yes, you can find terraces much higher up but if you prefer a more charming riverside view to a skyline – this is the one for you.

Time Out Bar:

Amazing city view from 2 open terraces located atop the tower of the Hotel Peking. Visitors with the patience to wait in line for the lift up to the 12th floor of the Hotel Peking are in store for a magical evening in front of the gleaming Moscow lights. Open daily from 6pm to 6am, the place offers the possibility to watch breathtaking sunsets and dawn. Excellent cocktails and a lively night club at night.

Located in the center of Moscow, on the roof of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, O2 lounge has one of the best view over the Red Square and the Kremlin. Innovative cocktails and creative sushi dishes make O2 a Moscow city summer hot spot. But i’ll warn you: Prices are exactly what you would expect in a hotel called the Ritz located within walking distance of the Kremlin.

Kalina Bar:
Cosy and classy, Kalina Bar is located on 21st floor of Lotte Business Center. The place will have you going back and forth between two views of Moscow’s skyline. From one of the restaurant’s balcony you have an outstanding view of the skyscrapers of Moscow-City, Moscow State University and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From the other side of the bar you can see the Kremlin cathedrals and Christ the Savior Cathedral. With a high class lounge feel, Kalina is a perfect summer destination for a date, business dinner or a friends night out.

Sky Lounge:
One of the best panoramic restaurant/bars in Moscow. The 22nd-floor establishment offers its guests an excellent view of Moscow State University, Gorky park, Sparrow Hills and Moscow-city, with exquisite cuisine and relaxing atmosphere. From the balcony you can also look upwards at the gold brain-like sculpture that crowns the tower. Sunset here is unforgettable.

The 60th floor of the sleek Federation Tower is home to Bar Sixty, the higher restaurant in Europe. The interior design is classy and the view on the city is simply priceless. Make sure you arrive early to get the best tables and then watch Moscow turn from light to dark blue with lots of bright lights. Great atmosphere, good food, amazing cocktails.

Mercedes Bar is located at the 31st-floor of the Radisson Royal Hotel (one of Stalin’s “Seven Sisters”). There you can have a unique view on the skyscrapers of Moscow City, which are located exactly in front of the hotel. Creative and exquisites cocktails.
