Ein sicherer Hafen

Der Hafen von Alcúdia ist zwar nicht so groß und so populär wie der Hafen von Palma de Mallorca, aber der Hafen ist nicht weniger schön. Direkt am Hafen liegt die Paseig Maritim, die Hafenpromenade, mit ihren kleinen gemütlichen Kneipen, den Restaurants und den Cafés. Segler finden dort aber auch ein Geschäft für Nautikzubehör und einen Supermarkt, in dem alles für einen Törn gekauft werden kann. Jeden Dienstag findet in Alcúdia ein Käsemarkt statt, den man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte. Der Hafen von Alcúdia bietet Platz für ca. 740 Schiffe mit einer maximalen Länge von 30 m.

Die Umgebung von Alcúdia lädt zu vielen schönen Törns ein. Die steilen Kalksteinklippen, die Pinien, die weißen Strände und das türkisblaue Wasser machen jeden Ausflug zu einem echten Vergnügen. Neben regionalen Delikatessen wie frischem Fisch und Meeresfrüchten, können auf dem Markt handgemachter Schmuck, Keramik und auch Kleidung gekauft werden. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

His works are on display in the  Fundacio Pilar i Joan Miro, on the outskirts of Palma.

Mallorca sailing conditions

The climate is mild, typically Mediterranean, with dry and sunny  summer. During July and August, average temperature raises to 75 – 85 F  with stable light winds from 5 to 15 knots. The winds are predominantly  southeast on the west part of the island and northwest on the eat part.  July marks the beginning of the peak sailing season, which will last  till the end of September. Cold winters are very rare in this area, with  average temperature around 60 F, Palma boat rentals are available the  year round. Nights are cold, but days are mostly sunny with partial  clouds. The highest rainfall is usually between October and December.  All in all, the weather is very pleasant and mild all year around.

Winter navigation

The average temperature in December-January in navigation area  near Balearic Islands is mild. The average max temperature is 18 C and  the minimum temperature 13 C. But it’s quite frequent to have a few days  with 20 C or above.

It’s necessary to be equipped with warm clothes and waterproof  jackets, but don’t be afraid it is just a precaution and if sunny and on  land, you will have chance to wear T-shirt.

All boats are supplied with bed linen and warm blankets; additional  heaters are also available to make the main saloon and cabins warm and  toasty in almost any conditions.

Nevertheless you should keep in mind that it is better to bring all  staff in soft bags or backpacks because space on the boat is limited.  Take the most comfortable clothes (wool socks, wool sweater, waterproof  jackets, water resistant shoes, wool hats), sunglasses, and protective  sun cream, personal medicines, toilette accessories and gloves.

Places of interest

The island's north-west coast is especially scenic, with its  terraced cliff sides and hidden coves. Once you venture away from  crowds, this area will give you a pleasant sense of isolation. It's  craggy coast is dotted with watch towers, ancient monasteries and  churches and picturesque idyllic villages.

Sun Marroig, estate of 18th century, has been converted into a museum with a great collection of pottery and paintings.

Mirador del Ses Animes, the former defense tower, standing on a steep rock, is visible from far away.

Port d'Andratx, used to be a small fishing port, now harbors  expensive yachts for the rich and famous. The cute town, with its white  shuttered houses and cobbled streets, lies in a valley, while the old  watch towers are formidably standing on the hill above it.

Another popular attraction is the pearl factory at nearby Manacor.

On the island's east coast, near the fishing port of Porto Cristo,  are the Caves of Drach, which contain one of the world's largest  underground lakes.

Mallorca's Caves

Caves in Mallorca are formed out of limestone rocks. Some are the  size of a cathedral with dripstones that form fantastic forms and are  illuminated for better impression. Once they provided shelter for early  settlers or hiding places for pirates. Although Mallorca has about 200  caves, only a few of them are open to public. And it's worth taking a  tour! There is a number of caves with underground lakes. They have great  acoustics and concerts can be performed by the musicians seated in  boats.

Beaches of Mallorca

Mallorca has about 80 beaches. The best are around Badia de Palma.  Some of the beaches include restaurants, fun parks, water sports and  beachside bars. But it is still possible to find secluded beaches:  however they may have quite a few facilities and could be difficult to  reach.

Palma de Mallorca

Palma over the years has transformed itself from a provincial  town into a metropolis. With a quarter of a million residents, it is  Mallorca's main city and the capital of Baleares province. It captivates  you by the evident signs of its rich history: dominant cathedrals,  grand public buildings, exquisite private mansions.

On a hill overlooking the port there is Bellver Castle, a fine  example of the 14th century military architecture. Caiman Forum Palma,  built in 1902, the most impressive 20th century building, now serves as a  cultural center. Palau Reial de I'Almudaina, the former royal residence  built in 1309, is now turned into a museum. And here is the Gothic  Cathedral, built of golden sandstone, is one of the most breathtaking  buildings in Spain. Palma Cathedral is one of the best-sited cathedrals  anywhere - it is positioned high on the sea wall towering over the  harbor. The construction began in 1230 and finished in 1601. At the  beginning of the century Antonio Gaudi remodeled most of its interior.

Among other structures of interest are Arab Baths of the 10th  century, Church of San Francisco of the 13th century and The Forn Teatro  (Theater Bakery), well-known for its impressive facade and it's  delicious pastries.

Spanish cuisine is as varied as the country itself. Good  quality local cuisine is always available. Most of the Balearic dishes  are Catalan in origin: ensaimadas  - spiral pastries dusted with icing  sugar or sobrasadas - spicy pork pates.

But the influence of each occupying force over the centuries - Arabs,  French or British – also has left its mark on the local cuisine, as  well. Sobrasada - a sausage-meat spread. Embutits – cured meats.  Surrounded by water, there is no wonder that seafood (especially lobster  and cray fish) predominates here. Caldereta de llagosta (lobster stue),  once a simple fishermen's dish is now a delicacy. The classic Mallorcan  dish is Pa Amb Oli, a slice of toasted bread rubbed with garlic and  drizzled with local olive oil. Tapas are popular bite-sized snacks,  often served hot with chilled wine or beer.

Porto Cristo

Is a small town located on the eastern part of Mallorca. It was  not affected by mass tourism and preserved most of its charm and lovely  white sand beaches. Here you will find no trendy bars or busy  nightclubs but tranquil atmosphere where you can lie on the beach and  drink a cold beer without being disturbed.

The must-see attraction are two cave complexes called “Coves del  Drach and Coves dels Hams” that offer and incredible experience of  Mallorca’s natural beauty

Cala Figuera

More than in any other part of Mallorca, Cala Figueres retains the  atmosphere of an authentic fishing port. Here you will see white washed  houses on the water’s edge and fishermen fixing their nets. It’s a good  idea to arrive early and buy some catch of the day.

Cala Santanyi

Cala Santanyi located on the south-eastern part of Mallorca, is a  popular beach and diving area. Local diving school offers great diving  courses so or you can just bask in the crystal-clear water. There are  several resort style hotels in the area

This place is famous for many hidden calla’s and coves in the  area. For the food lovers, Cala D’Or offers a number of diverse  restaurants and busy bars.

Cala Ratjada

Sailing east of Mallorca you will find this small fishing  village known for its fine white sand beaches, pristine clear water and  turquoise sea. If you’re looking for a slightly more serene experience  take a short walk away from the beach to the lighthouse at Punta de  Capdepera which offers fantastic view over to Menorca.

For the foodies, take a lunch trip to Es Coll d’Os which has a great  atmosphere and prides itself on home grown food. For a traditional meal,  Reco D’es Moll servers the finest Tapas in the area.

Sailing to the north tip of Mallorca you will find Pollenca, a  well sheltered anchorage, but there is also a marina if you’re looking  for some creature comforts. You should also check to see if there are  any festivals or fairs happening whilst you’re visiting as they are  popular and frequent here.

Mao-Mahon is the capital city of Menorca. It also known as the  second deepest natural harbor in the world; 5km long and 900 meters  wide. Sailing to Mahón harbor you will see La Mola Fortress, former  military prison during the Franco dictatorship and the Saint Felip  Castle. These sites certainly make entrance to the harbor quite an  experience. Once you are in Mahon you can choose either to take a  mooring, anchor or shelter in the harbor.

Fornells is a traditional fisherman's town on the north coast  of Menorca. Here you will find large well protected harbor, surrounded  by picturesque white washed buildings with local restaurants and bars.

Sailing to Fornells you see how this place retained its charm by fending off major development.

Near Fornells bay you will notice couple of pretty coves and three  small islands home to the indigenous blue green lizard 'S'argantana  Balear'. These coves and islands can only be reached by boat.

Must try local cuisine. Dinner in Fornells is a real feast for fish  lovers. This place offers number of fantastic fish restaurants which  Fornells has become renowned for.

This is a former capital of Menorca, a small charming town,  with old cobbled streets and reminiscent of a bygone era. Entering the  harbor, you will be amazed by stunning beauty of this town. Take a  mooring in front of the pier that is lined with bars and restaurants, so  you can literally hop off your yacht straight into a bar; and then roll  back out again.

The old town Cuitadella it's definitely worth visiting. You will  reach it by heading up some cobbled stairs where you will find many  remains of what the town used to be like, including the still standing  Cathedral of Menorca in the old town.

The largest island of the Balearic Islands is popular with tourists not only because of its party miles, but also because of its combination of picturesque landscapes, dreamy places and historical monuments. The Mediterranean island is also ideal for water sports. With a coastline of 550 km, Mallorca alternates beautiful bays with natural beaches, sharp cliffs and lively marinas. Excursions into the interior of the island are also worthwhile. Hikers will find an exciting area in the Serra de Tramuntana, for example. The mountains in the north of the island rise to a height of more than 1,000 meters. It has a very specific task: it shields Mallorca from cold winds. Also in the east of the island you sail past the gentle heights of the Serres de Llevant. Here you will also find beautiful grottos hidden in the rocks, which you can visit.

Most of the marinas of Mallorca are located in the south of the island. The highest mountain range, the Serra de Tramontana, protects this part from north winds, so that quiet anchorages and protected marinas can be found here. The infrastructure is good and the distances are short, so that even less experienced sailors can start a vacation trip here. Experienced sailors can sail around the island and also discover the more natural northwest in calm weather conditions. Here the only protected marina is the natural harbor of Port de Soller, which is about 30 nautical miles from Port Andratx in the south and Port de Pollença in the north. Those who sail with the north wind will cover the miles more swiftly. If you feel like blue water sailing, you can start to the other Balearic Islands: On Menorca , nature lovers and relaxation seekers will find quiet bays and nature parks. On Ibiza , the party continues, and Formentera again offers beautiful corners and beaches to relax and take a deep breath.

In the bay of Palma there are several bases from where you can start your cruise. Ca'n Pastilla is located directly south of the airport. So if you want to get on the water quickly, this is the best starting port. A day trip to Palma is also an option at the beginning or at the end of a yacht charter. If you are looking for a party, just walk along the promenade to Arenal . There is also a port in Palma from where you can depart. The port of Palma , the capital of the island, offers the largest selection of yachts. Stroll through the narrow streets of the old town, stop in one of the many tapas bars and make a detour to the island's landmark, la Seu Cathedral, where Gaudí also left his mark. For those who do not want to miss the proximity of the capital, but want to start in a quieter atmosphere, you can also depart from the suburbs Cas Català or Portal Nous . Palma can be reached comfortably all year round from the major airports in Germany within just under 2 hours.

At a distance from the hustle and bustle on the south coast are the two bases Cala d'Or , the golden bay, and Portocolom in the east of the island. From here you can walk along the white cliff coast Cala to the beautiful small bays and take a break on the sandy beaches. The places here are lively, but not as crowded as in the south. From here you can make a side trip to the beautiful and protected Cabrera Islands south of Mallorca. The two ports are also good starting points for a cruise to Menorca.

In the northeast, you can reach the more natural corners of the island from the bases of Alcudia and Pollença , both located in bays of the same name. Here, fine sandy beaches lie between rocky coasts. They are just as beautiful as those in the south, yet less crowded. Experienced sailors can sail around the beautiful Cape Formentor on the northwest side along the rocky coast in calmer weather and make a trip around the island. Or you can sail straight to the nearest island, Menorca, which also has many more natural corners than the touristy south of Mallorca.

The other side of Mallorca to the popular and party-intensive southwest lies just 30 nautical miles southeast of the island: on the Cabrera Archipelago. Before the "goat island" was nearly stripped bare, it was placed under protection and nature has reclaimed it. Due to visitor restrictions, a permit is required, but the effort is worth it: there are several caves to discover on Cabrera, the most famous being the Cova Blava, the Blue Grotto. You can explore the island on various hiking trails, take a guided tour to the fortress or the lighthouse, immerse yourself in the island's varied history at the museum and archaeological sites, or get to know the native flora of the Balearic Islands at the botanical garden. The coast around the island also invites you to go diving.

A trip to the northwest coast

Relaxation and nature seeking sailors can also discover the more natural side of the island in calm weather conditions on the north coast of Mallorca: a beautiful rocky coast with green slopes without hotels and with fewer tourists. Just a bit further west of the Bay of Palma, off the southwesternmost tip of Mallorca, lies the island of Sa Dragonera. Unlike Cabrera, it can be explored without a permit and is ideal for hiking. Port de Soller is the only port on the northwest coast, a natural harbor in a sheltered bay surrounded by the Tramuntana mountains. To the next port in the north and in the south it is about 30 nautical miles. Cape Formentor, the meeting point of the winds, in the north is also a worth seeing cliff with green slopes, which can be easily explored by hiking. On the other side of the cape is only again the next protected bay with the Port de Pollença .

Die meisten Yachthäfen von Mallorca liegen im Süden der Insel. Das höchste Gebirge, die Serra de Tramontana, schützt diesen Teil vor Nordwinden, sodass hier ruhige Ankerplätze und geschützte Marinas zu finden sind. Die Infrastruktur ist gut und die Distanzen kurz, sodass auch weniger erfahrene Segler hier einen Urlaubstörn starten können. Erfahrene Segler können die Insel umrunden und auch den natürlicheren Nordwesten bei ruhiger Wetterlage entdecken. Hier ist die einzige geschützte Marina der Naturhafen von Port de Soller, der etwa 30 Seemeilen von Port Andratx im Süden und Port de Pollença im Norden entfernt liegt. Wer mit dem Nordwind fährt, überbrückt die Meilen zügiger. Wer Lust auf Blauwassersegeln hat, kann zu den anderen Baleareninseln starten: Auf Menorca finden Naturinteressierte und Entspannungssuchende ruhige Buchten und Naturparks. Auf Ibiza  geht die Party weiter, und Formentera bietet wieder schöne Ecken und Strände zum Relaxen und Durchatmen.

In der Bucht von Palma liegen gleich mehrere Stützpunkte, von denen aus Sie Ihren Törn beginnen können. Ca´n Pastilla liegt direkt südlich vom Flughafen. Wer also schnell aufs Wasser möchte, findet hier den besten Ausgangshafen. Auch ein Tagestrip nach Palma zu Beginn oder am Ende einer Yachtcharter bietet sich an. Wer die Party sucht, braucht nur über die Promenade nach Arenal  zu spazieren. Auch hier gibt es einen Stützpunkt, von dem Sie starten können. Die größte Auswahl an Yachten bietet der Hafen der Inselhauptstadt Palma . Flanieren Sie durch die engen Gassen der Altstadt, kehren Sie in eine der vielen Tapas-Bars ein und machen Sie einen Abstecher in das Wahrzeichen der Insel, in die Kathedrale la Seu, in der auch Gaudí seine Spuren hinterlassen hat. Wer die Nähe der Hauptstadt nicht missen möchte, aber in einer ruhigeren Atmosphäre starten möchte, der kann auch von den Vororten Cas Català oder Portal Nous ablegen. Palma kann das ganze Jahr über bequem von den großen Flughäfen Deutschlands aus innerhalb von knapp 2 Stunden erreicht werden.

In Abstand zu dem Trubel an der Südküste liegen die beiden Stützpunkte Cala d'Or , der goldenen Bucht, und Portocolom im Osten der Insel. Von hier aus können Sie an der weißen Klippenküste Cala entlang in die schönen kleinen Buchten einkehren und an den Sandstränden Pause machen. Die Orte hier sind lebhaft, aber nicht so überfüllt wie im Süden. Von hier aus können Sie einen Abstecher zu den schönen und unter Naturschutz stehenden Cabrera-Inseln südlich von Mallorca machen. Die beiden Häfen sind auch gute Startpunkte für einen Törn nach Menorca.

Im Nordosten erreichen Sie von den Stützpunkten Alcudia und Pollença , beide in gleichnamigen Buchten gelegen, die natürlicheren Ecken der Insel. Hier liegen feinsandige Strände zwischen Felsküsten. Sie sind ebenso schön wie die im Süden und dabei weniger überfüllt. Erfahrene Segler können bei ruhigerem Wetter rund um das schöne Kap Formentor an der Nordwestseite entlang der Felsenküste fahren und einen Törn um die Insel machen. Oder Sie segeln gleich zur nächstgelegenen Insel Menorca, die ebenfalls viele natürlichere Ecken aufweist als der touristische Süden Mallorcas.

Entdeckungen auf einer Yachtcharter Mallorca  

Der cabrera-archipel.

Die andere Seite Mallorcas zum populären und feierintensiven Südwesten liegt nur 30 Seemeilen südöstlich der Insel: auf dem Cabrera-Archipel. Bevor die „Ziegeninsel“ nahezu kahl gefressen wurde, wurde sie unter Schutz gestellt und die Natur hat sie sich zurückerobert. Wegen Besucherbegrenzung ist zwar eine Genehmigung vonnöten, doch der Einsatz lohnt sich: Auf Cabrera gibt es mehrere Höhlen zu entdecken, die bekannteste ist die Cova Blava, die Blaue Grotte. Sie können auf verschiedenen Wanderwegen die Insel erkunden, an einer Führung zur Festung oder zum Leuchtturm teilnehmen, im Museum und an archäologischen Stätten in die abwechslungsreiche Geschichte der Insel eintauchen oder im botanischen Garten die heimische Pflanzenwelt der Balearen kennenlernen. Die Küste um die Insel lädt auch zum Tauchen ein. 

Ein Ausflug an die Nordwestküste

Entspannungs- und Natur suchende Segler können bei ruhigen Wetterbedingungen an der Nordküste Mallorcas ebenfalls die natürlichere Seite der Insel entdecken: eine schöne Felsküste mit grünen Hängen ohne Hotels und mit weniger Touristen. Schon ein Stück weiter westlich der Bucht von Palma liegt vor dem südwestlichsten Zipfel Mallorcas die Insel Sa Dragonera. Sie kann im Gegensatz zu Cabrera ohne Genehmigung erkundet werden und bietet sich für Wanderungen an. Port de Soller ist an der Nordwestküste der einzige Hafen, ein Naturhafen in einer geschützten Bucht umgeben von den Bergen des Tramuntana. Zum nächsten Hafen im Norden und im Süden sind es rund 30 Seemeilen. Auch das Kap Formentor, der Treffpunkt der Winde, im Norden ist eine sehenswerte Steilküste mit grünen Hängen, die man auch wandernd gut erkunden kann. Auf der anderen Seite des Kaps liegt erst wieder die nächste geschützte Bucht mit dem Port de Pollença .

Das Erlebnis mit einer Yacht die Buchten Mallorcas zu erkunden ist etwas ganz Besonderes und einfach unbeschreiblich. Selbst wir haben immer noch Gänsehaut, wenn es wieder heißt „Leinen los“.

Ein unbeschreibliches Gefühl wie wir gemeinsam im Hafen an den anderen wunderschönen Yachten vorbeigleiten um dann schließlich den Hafen in Richtung offenes Meer zu verlassen! An dieses einmalige Erlebnis wirst Du Dich noch lange lange Zeit erinnern!

So starten wir:

Wir holen Euch zu vereinbarter Zeit vor dem Tor des Steg 7 im Port d’Alcudia ab! Dann geht es ab auf die AVIVA, wo Ihr von unserem Kapitän Jens empfangen werdet. Und da auch bei uns gilt „Safety First“ gibt es erstmal eine kurze Einführung und Erklärung, worauf ihr achten solltet, denn schließlich befinden wir uns bald auf offenem Meer.

Wenn dieser etwas trockene Teil unserer Tour abgehakt ist, heißt es auch schon „Leinen los“. Unsere Erste Offizierin Elisa macht alles bereit zum Ablegen und ihr genießt bei Sonnenschein den Weg aus dem Hafen heraus.

Aus dem Hafen herausgefahren darf unser Kapitän ein klein bisschen mehr Schub geben und ihr genießt den Fahrtwind während ihr mit einem Gläschen Sekt oder Champagner auf den Tag anstoßt.

Wir fahren auf unserer Yacht-Tour vorbei an der einzigartigen Landschaft Mallorcas, sehen tolle Strände und gleiten mit der AVIVA über das Meer. Angekommen in der Bucht suchen wir ein schönes Plätzchen, welches sich toll zum Baden eignet und gehen vor Anker!

Und jetzt dürft Ihr frei wählen: genießt Ihr ein Sonnenbad auf dem Bug des Schiffes, springt ihr in das glasklare Wasser oder probiert ihr Euch zum Beispiel auf unserem Stand Up Paddle aus?!

Auf Wunsch servieren wir Euch jetzt leckere Häppchen und spanische Tapas, die ihr zum Beispiel auf der Flybridge genießen könnt. Je nachdem wie lange wir gemeinsam unterwegs sind, fahren wir nun auch noch eine zweite wunderschöne Bucht mit unserer Yacht an.

Auch hier dürft Ihr Euch wieder austoben und den Tag in vollen Zügen genießen.

Nach einer langen Bade- oder Sonnenpause heißt es nun wieder ablegen in Richtung Port d’Alcudia.

Auch für Crews, die als Charterziel Ibiza (rund 60 Seemeilen entfernt) auswählen, bietet sich die Yachtcharter auf Mallorca oftmals an, weil das Angebot an Charteryachten wesentlich größer ist.

Wind und Wetter für die Yachtcharter auf Mallorca

Die Sommermonate Juli und August auf Mallorca sind meistens heiß und trocken, es lässt sich aber auch in dieser Zeit auf dem Wasser meistens gut aushalten. Milder ist es im Frühling und Herbst und auch Juni und September weisen häufig angenehme, sommerliche Temperaturen auf.

Die beste Zeit , um auf dem Chartertörn Badestopps einzulegen, ist von Mai bis Ende September mit Wassertemperaturen um die 20 bis 25 Grad. Regen gibt es nur selten, Oktober, November und Dezember sind mit durchschnittlich sechs Regentagen die niederschlagsreichsten Monate.

Im Hochsommer kann es auch zu Flautentagen kommen, die jedoch häufig von thermischen Winden unterbrochen werden. Je nach Windrichtung können so auch durchaus Windstärken bis zu 6 oder mehr Beaufort auftreten. Generell sind die Windverhältnisse je nach Position entlang der Küste oftmals sehr unterschiedlich.

In der Vor- und Nebensaison haben durchziehende Tiefdruckgebiete immer wieder Starkwind zur Folge. Dazu wird die Insel auch hin und wieder vom Mistral (aus Norden) und dem Schirokko (aus Süden) erreicht. Die Mehrzahl der Tage rund um Mallorca wird jedoch von thermischen Winden bestimmt, die am Vormittag einsetzen und bis zum Abend anhalten. Bis Juni erreichen die Thermikwinde bis 4 Beaufort, im Hochsommer liegen sie meistens darunter.

Durchschnittliche Lufttemperaturen Mallorca:

• April/Mai: 20-25 Grad Celsius
• Juni – September: 25-35 Grad Celsius
• Oktober/November: 15 -25 Grad Celsius

Yachtcharter in Mallorca: Die Anreise

Die Anreise nach Mallorca erfolgt in den meisten Fällen per Flugzeug, sie kann aber theoretisch auch mit Auto und Fähre oder mit Bahn und Fähre erfolgen.

Anreise mit dem Flugzeug

Der Flughafen San Joan bei Palma wird nicht nur zur Hauptsaison von fast allen internationalen Flughäfen in Deutschland und Österreich aus angeflogen. Die Preise sind günstig, die Auswahl an Flugverbindungen riesig.  Auch Flughafentransfers werden in vielfältiger Form angeboten, Shuttlebusse fahren häufig und sind günstig, manche Charteranbieter organisieren eigene Transfers. Daher ist die schnellste und günstigste Möglichkeit der Anreise nach Mallorca das Flugzeug.

Anreise per Auto und Fähre

Prinzipiell ist auch eine Anreise per Auto möglich. Ab Barcelona (8 Std.) und ab Toulon (11 Std.) pendeln Autofähren zu der Baleareninsel. Rechnet man die Autofahrt, Spritkosten, Maut und Kosten und Dauer für die Fähre dazu, ist von der Anreise per Auto jedoch abzuraten.

Über die Zwischenstationen Paris und Barcelona lässt sich Mallorca auch mit dem Zug und der Fähre erreichen. Die Fahrtdauer von Berlin nach Paris beträgt 8,5 Stunden, von Paris nach Barcelona mit dem Hochgeschwindigkeitszug TGV 6,5 Stunden und danach folgt eine achtstündige Fährfahrt nach Mallorca.

Reiseinformationen für Mallorca

Da Mallorca zum Schengenraum gehört, sind keine besonderen Vorgaben für die Einreise zu beachten. Ein gültiger Personalausweis bzw. Reisepass ist erforderlich und ein Führerschein falls ein Auto gemietet werden soll.

Yachtcharter Mallorca: Welche Bestimmungen  gelten für Skipper?

Charterrevier

Törndaten, marina alcudiamar, alcudia, mallorca.

Alcudia Bay ist ein ruhiger und schöner Ort im Norden von Mallorca, 2 km südlich der Stadt Alcudia. Die Nähe der Serra de Tramuntana, auf deren Fuß die Alcudiabucht gelegen ist, die ummauerte Stadt Alcuida und die Ruinen der antiken römischen Metropole von Pollentia sind hier einige der empfehlenswerten Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Puerto de Alcudiamar ist ein flacher Yachthafen, mit 744 Liegeplätze für Boote bis zu 30m mit guten Dienstleistungen. Der Yxachthafen verfügt über ausgezeichnete Einrichtungen und ist sehr beliebt bei den Seglern. Bars und Restaurants sind im nahen Umfeld.

Yachtcharter Mallorca

Ein sportliches Highlight war auch die bisher schnellste Segelumrundung Mallorcas, für die die Rennyacht Uca etwas mehr als 17 Stunden gebraucht hat. Wer allerdings entspannt auf Yachtcharter-Urlaubstörn geht, sollte sich mindestens eine Woche, eher noch mehr Zeit dazu lassen – zuviel gibt es für Yachtcharter-Segler „round Mallorca“ auf etwa 300 Meilen Küstenlinie zu entdecken.

Yachtcharter-Crews übernehmen ihre Yacht meistens direkt in Palma de Mallorca , an den Yachtcharter-Stützpunkten in Can Pastilla , einem Vorort von Palma nahe beim Airport, im Puerto El Arenal , in Cala d’Or oder Porto Colom an der Ostküste oder bei den Yachtcharter-Anbietern in Puerto de Alcudia oder Puerto Pollensa im Nordosten. Die meisten Yachtcharter-Basen für Motoryachten gibt es ebenfalls in Palma, im Südwesten in Puerto Portals oder in Port Andratx oder auch ab Cala d’Or.

Die Bucht von Palma und Cabrera

Diese sind beim Yachtcharter-Törn auch oft letzter Stopp vor der kurzen Überfahrt zum Cabrera-Archipel. Diese höchst malerische Inselgruppe steht unter Naturschutz, die Hauptinsel war früher militärisches Gefangenenlager. Heute ist hier wieder ursprüngliche Natur zu finden, Schnorchler erfreuen sich am Fischreichtum. Reste des alten Lagers, ein Museum und eine Festung auf dem Berg können besichtigt werden, einen Drink gibt es in der kleinen Cantina. Am schönsten aber sind auf Cabrera für Yachtcharter-Crews die Nächte an einer der Mooringbojen in der Traumbucht unter dem Sternenhimmel. Die Übernachtung an der Boje ist kostenlos, die erforderliche Genehmigung von der Naturschutzbehörde organisieren die Yachtcharter-Unternehmen gern.

Im westlichen Teil der Bucht von Palma sind die Buchten vor Illetas, die grosse Bucht von Palmanova, die kleine Bucht von Portals neben dem Hafen Puerto Portals und natürlich Portals Vells mit der berühmten "Dreifinger-Bucht" beliebte Ankerplätze. Wer nachts nobel liegen mag, kann direkt in Puerto Portals liegen und dort das internationale Hafenflair geniessen.

Süd- und Ostküste Mallorcas

An der Südküste Mallorcas liegt zwischen Sa Rápita und Colonia San Jordi  der für seine Dünenlandschaft berühmte Strand Es Trenc. Der Hafen Puerto de Campos, der zur Colonia San Jordi gehört, ist für Yachten kaum geeignet. Das Hinterland hier ist flach, mit Salinen – Cabo de Salinas markiert die Südspitze. An der Südost- und Ostküste erwarten unzählige romantische Calas die Yachtcharter-Segler, dazwischen immer sichere Häfen. Das Hinterland wird bergiger, je weiter man nach Norden kommt. An der Ostküste verläuft die Sierra Levant mit Höhen von bis zu 500 Metern, das flachere Land mit seiner typischen roten Erde im Inselinneren gilt mit vielen Agrarfincas und typischen Windmühlen als Speisekammer der Insel. Wein wird hier übriges nicht am Berg, sondern in der Ebene angebaut.  Die bekanntesten Buchten sind die Calas Marmols, Santanyi, Mondragó, Murada, Barcas, Magraner und die Cala de los Pinos., die alle auch bei Yachtcharter-Urlaubern beliebt sind. Der kleine Fischerhafen von Cala Figuera ist mit vielen Llauts, Cafes und Galerien zauberhaft, aber für Yachten wenig geeignet. In Portopetro dagegen gibt es einen Club Nautico und auch einige Gastplätze für Yachtcharter-Crews – gute Restaurants laden hier zum Landgang ein. Über Cala d’Or und Porto Colom – in beiden Häfen gibt es Charterstützpunkte –  geht es weiter gen Norden nach Porto Cristo.

Vom Hafen Porto Cristo aus lohnt sich für Yachtcharter-Touristen ein Besuch der berühmten Höhlen Cuevas del Drac. Der Hafen von Cala Bona bietet kaum Tiefgang, den nächsten sicheren Hafen gen Norden findet man in Cala Ratjada. Das lebhafte Touristenörtchen ist im Sommer bei deutschen Partygängern beliebt. In der Nähe des Hafens gibt es jede Menge Restaurants, Bars und Diskotheken. An der Mole mit wenigen Gastliegeplätzen für Yachtcharter-Seglern stört bisweilen der Schwell, den die auslaufenden Fischerboote verursachen. Von Cala Ratjada aus lohnt sich ein Ausflug ins Künstlerstädtchen Arta. Cala Ratjada ist oft letzte Station vor der Überfahrt zur nur 25 Seemeilen entfernten Insel Menorca.

Bahia de Alcudia – Bahia de Pollensa

West- und Südwestküste

Der einzige sichere Hafen an der Westküste ist Puerto de Soller. Hier wurde der Hafen mit Schwimmstegen erweitert, die Bucht von Soller bietet auch Ankerplätze für Yachtcharter-Urlauber und einen im Sommer belebten Strand. Der gesamte Ort, inzwischen renoviert und restauriert, ist wegen seiner Lage und des attraktiven Panoramas bei Besuchern sehr beliebt und durch den „Tren de Soller“, die alte Zugverbindung nach Palma weltbekannt.

Die Küste zwischen Puerto de Soller und der Dracheninsel „Isla Dragonera“ wird auch die Costa Brava Mallorquina genannt. Bekanntestes Photomotiv in diesem Abschnitt ist Sa Foradada, eine hohe natürliche Felsmauer mit großem Loch darin – wo sie ins Meer ragt, lockt das türkisfarbene Wasser unweigerlich zum Anker-Stopp. Ansonsten ist die Kulisse der Berge bei Deya, Valldemossa, Banyalbufar oder Estellencs zwar äußerst beeinduckend, aber die meistern Yachtcharter-Crews werden weiterfahren bis zur Cala Basset, gegenüber der Nordostspitze Dragoneras gelegen.  Dragonera ist unbewohntes Naturschutzgebiet und Nistplatz sehr vieler Vögel. Von Sant Elm bzw. San Telmo bringen Ausflugsboote Spaziergänger hinüber. In der Bucht von Sant Elm liegen Yachtcharter-Urlauber sicher an Mooringbojen, die Fischrestaurants des kleinen Örtchens sind berühmt.

Beliebte Törnstopps auf der Weiterfahrt nach Palma sind dann die Häfen von Port Andratx und Santa Ponsa, die Buchten von Cala Llamp und Santa Ponsa sind auch beliebte Ankerplätze. Relativ neues Highlight im Südwesten: der Hafen Port Adriano mit vielen Restaurants und Shops auf der von Philippe Stark designten neuen Mole und zahlreichen Superyachten.
