Fincantieri Yachts

Fincantieri Yachts is synonymous with high-end pleasure yachting, combining luxury and style with advanced technology. It specialises in high-quality superyachts over 70 metres in length, and there is no limit to the size or volume of yachts it can produce. Clients who choose Fincantieri Yachts to build a yacht consider two important factors: first, the quality of the yachts built in our yard; and second, the Fincantieri Yachts’ ability to turn the owner’s wishes into reality.

In fact, Fincantieri Yachts can translate the most advanced technological solutions into a unique lifestyle experience onboard, while also infusing each yacht with elegance, beauty and the unique flavour of Italian creativity, to maintain its premium value over the course of the boat’s lifetime.

Fincantieri Yachts belongs to Fincantieri, the leading Western shipbuilder, with a turnover above 5 Billion Euro, a current order book of about 32 billion Euros, a network made up of 20 shipyards, 3 design centres, a research centre in the naval field, two production sites dedicated to the manufacturing of systems and mechanical components and staff of more than 19,000 people. With a history spanning over 200 years and 7000 vessels built, Fincantieri is one of the largest, most experienced and diversified shipbuilders in the world, world leader in the cruise ships and large ferries sector, offering a diversified range of vessels including naval surface ships, submarines and offshore vessels.

The cornerstone of Fincantieri’s ability to produce high-quality superyachts is its background in ship design and construction. The shipyard has built some of the most advanced ships in the world while setting many records, from building the first submarine to reach the Mariana Trench (11,033m deep) in 1960, to creating the Alliance, the world’s most silent ship, in 1986, and the most silent submarine in 2007, to producing the Destriero, which still holds the blue ribbon with a 65 knots peak speed and Atlantic cross at 53 knots average. Fincantieri transfers its advanced technologies to yachting and adds the special elements that characterise a superyacht. The shipyard’s highly qualified workforce, meanwhile, combines top managerial and technical skills with expertise ranging from shipbuilding to marketing, from industrial production to luxury, from project management to quality control. The company also has a large, dedicated engineering department, well connected to Fincantieri centres of excellence.

With such a wide range of expertise to draw on, Fincantieri can put together the perfect team for each element of a vessel’s design and construction. As well as being creative and flexible, Fincantieri is attentive to the needs of its clients. While every yacht benefits from the shipbuilder’s experience and advanced technology, each Fincantieri yacht is unique – a dedicated interpretation of its owner’s dreams.

Fincantieri Yachts is based in the Muggiano Yard near La Spezia. With a workforce of 750, including hundreds of skilled craftsmen, a dedicated Yacht Design Department and a Project Management organization, Muggiano has 60,000 square metres of covered space, so essential for achieving a true “yacht finish”, and a global reputation for excellence in high-tech, high-quality and high-performance vessels. The company recently invested in specialized new machinery, facilities and technology to make the yard the absolutely perfect environment for creating ocean-going masterpieces.

After delivery, Fincantieri Yachts offers high-level servicing and maintenance, with two dedicated yards: one at Muggiano, La Spezia and the other at Arsenale Triestino San Marco in Trieste. Here, specialist personnel offer every service, from routine maintenance to complex upgrades and conversions

Fincantieri Yachts has delivered in 2011 her first mega yacht, Serene, a 134m yacht which, when launched, is considered a masterpiece for level of luxury, quality and technical challenge. In 2014 has delivered, Hull 6218 Ocean Victory, a seven- deck motor yacht of 140 meters in length, whose contract, signed in December 2009, was the first order for a yacht longer than 80meters signed after the beginning of the financial crisis in October 2008.

Not all yacht owners have the same ideas. Some want to create, with their own designers, completely new, unique and distinctive vessels, specifically designed to their own vision, and FY is ready to develop and build these projects for them.

But other owners prefer to build upon an exclusive existing design. So, for them, Fincantieri Yachts joined with some of the world’s most prestigious international yacht designers to create concept designs to stimulate the mind of the future owners. The latest were presented and displayed in all the most important boat shows around the world: “Mirage” 106 metres, presented at the latest edition of the Monaco Yachts Show, “Griffin ”, 66 metres unveiled at Versilia Yachting Randez Vous and many others, such as “Ganimede” 110 metres, “Private Bay” 123 metres, “Sundance” and “Linea” both 90 metres, “Ottantacinque” 85 metres, and many others. Although technically detailed, these concept designs are intended to be adapted to any owner’s specific desires.

The new Four Seasons yacht will set sail in 2026.

Four Seasons has long set the gold standard for luxury accommodations on land and is renowned for its exquisite hotels that offer unparalleled comfort and service. Now, this legacy of luxury is extending its reach to the seas. In a groundbreaking move, Four Seasons Yachts , in collaboration with Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings Ltd and the esteemed Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, is introducing an ambitious venture into luxury sea travel. Scheduled to set sail in 2026, this initiative promises an experience that transcends traditional cruising, offering voyages across the mesmerizing waters of the Caribbean and the historic coasts of the Mediterranean.

Alejandro Reynal, President and CEO of Four Seasons, expressed enthusiasm about bringing the brand's hallmark of guest-centered luxury to the high seas. According to Reynal, this expansion into yachting is a natural extension of Four Seasons' commitment to providing personalized, elegant, and comfortable experiences. The aim is clear: to redefine luxury hospitality, but this time, against the backdrop of the world's most stunning seascapes.

The suites are breathtaking.

The inaugural season of Four Seasons Yachts is poised to offer something truly special. With ten unique voyages planned, travelers will have the opportunity to explore over 130 distinct destinations across more than 30 countries and territories. Each itinerary has been meticulously crafted, allowing guests the flexibility to design their own sea adventure. From the lively atmospheres of Caribbean islands like Saint Barthélemy and Martinique to the cultural richness of Mediterranean gems, including the Greek Isles and Croatia, these voyages promise a blend of well-loved destinations and hidden treasures.

The spacious cabins have incredible views.

Accommodations aboard the yacht are set to be a marvel in themselves. Ninety-five suites, conceived by the creative minds of Fredrik Johannson at Tillberg Design of Sweden and Creative Director Prosper Assouline, are designed to be sanctuaries of tranquility at sea. Each suite, envisioned with elegant interiors, expansive views, and a residential feel, aims to provide guests with a sense of being at home away from home. Among these, the Funnel and Loft Suites stand out for their sheer luxury and space. They offer unique features such as splash pools, outdoor showers, and breathtaking panoramic views, setting a new benchmark for luxury accommodations on water.

The pool deck features a bar and lounge chairs.

Beyond the exquisite suites, the yacht will feature various amenities designed to cater to every guest's needs. With eleven dining options, a comprehensive spa and wellness center, a state-of-the-art marina, and an innovative pool area capable of hosting events, the yacht ensures a variety of experiences that enrich the journey.

“We’re building a stunning seafaring venture that will be enjoyed as a yacht experience rather than a cruise experience," says Thatcher Brown, chief commercial officer and head of joint operations at luxury shipping specialist Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings, the joint owner/operator of the Four Seasons Yachts brand. "The intrinsic value of Four Seasons brand leadership in luxury hospitality combined with the passionate pioneering spirit and expertise of the project team is manifested in the creation of truly special Four Seasons Yachts experiences."

Fincantieri Blanche Megayacht

Fincantieri Yachts is known for designing masterful custom megayachts that challenge the status quo, but the builder is having a real mic-drop moment with its latest vessel. The next-gen concept, known as Blanche, spans 230 feet and features a spacious interior that may just remind you of your favorite five-star hotel.

The first thing you’ll notice about Blanche is that she’s devoid of unnecessary clutter. The Italian yard purposely eschewed visual obstructions in favor of space and simplicity. This frees your eyes up to focus on the ship’s graceful lines.

The concept was developed in partnership with Gabriele Teruzzi. The young Italian designer founded his eponymous studio in 2016 and already has a handful of prestigious projects to his name. Pairing this fresh blood with such a storied shipbuilder—Fincantieri has more than two centuries worth of experience—has led to a design that’s downright pioneering. That much is clear once you get inside.

Fincantieri Blanche Megayacht

The piano lounge.  Fincantieri Yachts

Her knockout feature is a gargantuan interior. Blanche has an anticipated volume of 1,535 GT and is characterized by a flowing open-plan layout that makes the sun’s natural light a design element in and of itself. She can sleep up to 14 guests across seven cabins, as well as 17 crew. The luxurious master suite opens onto a private 190-square-foot terrace. This space is surrounded by full-height panoramic windows and affords unparalleled sea views.

When it comes to amenities, Blanche boasts a beach area at the aft—complete with a waterfall pool, of course—a jacuzzi on the foredeck, a scenic sky lounge, a sprawling wellness area that spans 126 square feet and an upscale piano bar, which features a sparkling fairy-lit ceiling. While performance specs and engine type were not available as of press time, Fincantieri claims that Blanche will have a 5,000 nautical mile range at a speed of 12 knots.

The megayacht division of the Fincantieri Group has been designing and building custom vessels over 300 feet since 2005 and has established itself as major player in the big boat world. So far, it has delivered the 440-foot Serene (2011) and the 460-foot Ocean Victory (2014), which are a testament to the yard’s epic ambitions. Sure, Blanche will be a tad shorter than her sisters, but there’s absolutely nothing small about her.

Fincantieri Yachts Reveals 70 Metre Superyacht Concept Blanche

Fincantieri Yachts has revealed a 70 metre “new generation” superyacht concept named Blanche.

Designed by Fincantieri Yachts with Italian designer Gabriele Teruzzi, the yacht concept combines “luxury, design and function”, resulting in “timeless beauty with a strong Italian imprint.”

The aim of the design was the dismiss any “unnecessary complexity” to maximise space on board, the yard said.

Large living spaces inside the vast 1,535GT interior include a master suite and terrace totalling 190 square metres, both of which are surrounded by full height windows. The wellness area meanwhile measures 126 square metres.

Accommodation on board is for 14 guests in seven cabins while the crew quarters accommodates a total of 17 crew.

Elsewhere, Blanche has a 12 metre beam, draft of 3.3 metres and range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

It comes after the superyacht division of the Fincantieri Group presented the  80.8 metre naval inspired concept Vis  at last year’s Monaco Yacht Show.

Four Seasons Yachts Will Sail in the Caribbean, Mediterranean During First Season

Four Seasons Yachts will sail to the Caribbean and the Mediterranean during its inaugural season in 2026, the brand announced today.

Four Seasons Yachts is a partnership between Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings Ltd., Four Seasons and Fincantieri. The brand shared its first 10 itineraries and offered a sneak peek at the design of the ship’s 95 suites.

“We are excited to showcase the breathtaking destinations and world-class design awaiting guests aboard Four Seasons Yachts as we approach our inaugural season in 2026,” says Alejandro Reynal , president and chief executive officer of Four Seasons.

In its first year, the brand will visit more than 130 destinations in 30 countries and territories. Each itinerary has been designed with flexibility in mind, so that guests can explore on their own; pre- and post-cruise hotel stays and overland programs are also available at Four Seasons hotels and resorts.

The first Four Seasons Yacht will spend January to March 2026 in the Caribbean, offering 7-night cruises that stop in places like Saint Barthélemy), Nevis, the Grenadines, St Lucia, Barbados, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Curaçao and Aruba. From there, it will head to the Mediterranean for sailings to Croatia, Gibraltar, Montenegro, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Türkiye, plus the Greek Isles.

The brand also shared more details about the yacht’s suite design, which is being spearheaded by Tillberg Design of Sweden and creative director Prosper Assouline. Each suite will have a residential feel, with floor-to-ceiling windows, double-vanity bathrooms, private terraces and other amenities.

"Our goal was to craft an environment that feels both familiar and extraordinary, with warm hues and open designs,” says Fredrik Johannson, partner and executive director of Tillberg Design of Sweden.

According to Four Seasons Yachts, the suites will offer 50 percent more living space than any similar produc t that’s currently available. Adjoining suites can be connected via modular walls, which will open up more than 100 different configurations for those traveling in groups.

The largest seven suites range from 2,981 to 9,975 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor space. These spacious accommodations have two or three bedrooms, plus splash pools, outdoor showers and separate living rooms.

“We are creating an inviting, welcoming environment that reflects the same feeling one experiences at a Four Seasons hotel or resort," says Johannson. "At the same time, we are designing a look and feel that is unique to this project, creating an elegant yet simple interior that stands out on its own, while blending beautifully with the majestic seas that will surround it.”

Eni, Fincantieri and RINA establish partnership for maritime transport decarbonization

25 March 2024

Eni, a global energy company, Fincantieri, one of the world’s largest shipbuilding groups, the only one active in all high-tech marine industry sectors, and RINA, a multinational inspection, certification, and engineering consultancy, have signed an agreement to develop joint initiatives for the energy transition. The partnership formalises the commitment to develop joint projects, in line with the partners' strategies, to decarbonise the maritime sector in the medium to long term with the goal of Net Zero by 2050. Additionally, the establishment of a permanent global observatory regarding future technological, regulatory, and market developments will be evaluated.

The three companies will conduct a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the most sustainable alternatives to support the maritime decarbonisation pathway. This will also be based on the development of complementary solutions to fuels already available for other hard-to-abate sectors. The partnership’s areas of interest also include an analysis of the reference energy infrastructure and the development of new logistic structures, including the investments that the sector requires.

Giuseppe Ricci, Chief Operating Officer for Energy Evolution at Eni , commented: “ The collaboration with Fincantieri and RINA, two major Italian players, is a further step in our journey towards the transition and decarbonisation of maritime transport. To meet the objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda, it is important not only to manage what is immediate but also to act with a medium to long-term perspective, developing partnerships to create more sustainable solutions and products. The ability to network among the partners, with their wealth of skills and technological capabilities, can make a significant contribution to finding more effective solutions for decarbonising maritime transport and meeting the needs of shipowners and logistics operators, always leveraging a holistic approach ”.

Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO and Managing Director of Fincantieri , said: “We are highly committed to supporting our clients in addressing the industrial challenges of the maritime energy transition, and this initiative is aimed at initially creating a hub of study to harness Italy's extraordinary expertise in new technologies, novel fuels, and their profound industrial implications for the ship system. We are very pleased to join forces with Eni and RINA in an alliance to materialize existing solutions and to pave the way for the future with a proactive ecosystem approach. Indeed, new technologies must be industrialized on board ships, just as new fuels must be produced and distributed at the dock. Only with a concept of "operationalizing innovation" can we lead our industry and project our shipbuilding leadership into the future”.

Carlo Luzzatto, CEO and General Manager of RINA , said: “ We strongly believe in the value of collaboration and the opportunities it brings, particularly when it involves players of international calibre such as Eni and Fincantieri. Together, we have the opportunity to share knowledge and experience and to contribute to more sustainable solutions that support the shipping supply chain. RINA brings to the partnership its engineering and technological skills, developed across various sectors, to support shipping in its journey towards reducing its carbon footprint, without excluding any energy options ”.

The understanding may be the subject of subsequent binding agreements that the parties will define in compliance with the applicable legislation, including that relating to transactions between related parties.

Four Seasons Yachts: 5 Facts and First Look at 2026 Itineraries

Sean O'Neill , Skift

March 26th, 2024 at 4:19 PM EDT

Superyachts run by the Four Seasons brand are creating a buzzy new offering. Competitors include Marriott's Ritz-Carlton and Accor's Orient Express.

Sean O'Neill

Four Seasons revealed on Tuesday the first itineraries for its new brand, Four Seasons Yachts. The hospitality company also shared the first renderings of its maiden vessel, which it has yet to name.

Here are five facts that stood out.

1. Four Seasons’ first yacht will take turns sailing the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.

When the Four Seasons Yachts brand begins service in January 2026, its first vessel will cruise to the Caribbean for weeklong trips among the islands of St. Barths, Nevis, the Grenadines, St Lucia, Barbados, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Curaçao, and Aruba.

In March 2026, the yacht will cross the Atlantic and begin trips that stop at ports in Croatia, Gibraltar, Montenegro, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Turkey. Several itineraries will feature stops in Greece, including Athens, Ios, Santorini, and Milos.

2. Four Seasons Yachts will favor ports only private vessels tend to visit.

Four Seasons Yachts is a brand that belongs to a new generation of cruise ship offerings known as superyachts. These commercial vessels are bigger than a private yacht but smaller than a cruise ship.

An advantage of superyachts compared to typical cruise ships is that they can visit ports of call ordinarily only with the infrastructure to support small private vessels.

This agility will let the first Four Season Yacht visit more than 130 spots in over 30 countries and territories in its first year alone. A sample stop could let guests easily explore Martinique’s volcanic coral reefs and lush rainforest landscapes in a way they couldn’t if sailing on a traditional large luxury liner.

Other brands in the category include the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, which already has ships at sea, and Orient Express Silenseas, which intends to debut in 2026.

3. The superyachts intend to take design to a higher level than the standard luxury cruise liner.

The 14-deck luxury vessel is inspired by Aristotle Onassis’ iconic yacht Christina O, according to Four Seasons and its partner Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings and shipbuilder Fincantieri.

The ship will have 95 guest suites created by the brand’s creative director, Prosper Assouline, along with Tillberg Design of Sweden .

4. Suites on a Four Seasons yacht will emphasize space.

The first vessel from Four Seasons Yachts promises to have “50% more living space per guest” than what’s available on the Ilma , the first ship to debut from rival player Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection .

Suites will offer floor-to-ceiling windows, double vanity bathrooms, and large private balconies, as just-shared images reveal.

The largest suites range from 2,981 to 9,975 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space.

5. Amenities will include a 66-foot saltwater pool and a marina deck.

Equipped with ice-breaking technology, these huge fancy yachts are the only river cruisers running all year around. The round trip journey takes two and a half hours and floats past all the big sights like the White House, Novodevichy monastery and the Kremlin. There’s a large open air observation deck up top, while the main body of the ship houses a restaurant with a dance floor for a romantic post dinner dance. For a particularly romantic experience take one of the evening boats and admire the bright lights of the city skyline at night.

The most relaxing and picturesque tour that Moscow can offer: a great way to see the city center and its main attractions. This is a perfect alternative to exploring the city by car, if you only have time to do sightseeing during weekday rush hours.

Your English-speaking guide is eager to share every bit of their knowledge about the surrounding landscape, the architecture and historical details.

We conduct Moscow river tour on Radisson Flotilla boats all year around!  It’s warm inside during winter months, while there’s air conditioning during hot summer days. You may also treat yourself to drinks, lunch or dinner on board (drinks and food are not included in tour price).
