BLUE MOON Yacht for Charter
Royal van Lent built the award-winning 198-foot Feadship BLUE MOON yacht in 2006. A private yacht since delivery, Blue Moon is now available for charter. Captain Emile Bootsma, who supervised the yacht’s construction in Holland, commands an international crew of up to 15.
In addition to a full-beam on-deck master suite, with office and guest room/gym, motor yacht BLUE MOON features five comfortable lower-deck staterooms. The two twin cabins connect with two queens to form suites. Each has a private bathroom, individual temperature controls, individual satellite receivers and connects to a full library of movies and DVDs through the Kaleidescape entertainment system. BLUE MOON charters give guests access to iPod stations, and WiFi is available throughout the yacht.
M/Y BLUE MOON has several dining areas, formal dining on the main deck and a panoramic dining area on the bridge deck, are available for use. Floor-to-ceiling glass panels disappear, leaving no tracks on the teak, to open the dining area to the aft deck. Sheltered by the top deck overhang, this is a great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner during BLUE MOON charters. The dining area aft of the sun deck is equipped with wet bar, refrigerator and grill.
For the ultimate in relaxation, the sun deck features a Jacuzzi surrounded by sun pads. If you’ve had enough sun, stunning glass elevator, which goes from lower deck to sun deck, leads to a panoramic nook, insulated from the elements, but perfect for quiet observation and reading. The classic interior decor of motor yacht BLUE MOON is comfortably luxurious. The central staircase with spectacular wrought iron banister and wood veneer — recalling an ocean motif — wraps around the glass elevator.
During BLUE MOON charters, enjoy a full complement of toys, including two tenders, a 1972 Riva Aquarama Special (fully restored) and a 26-foot Chris Craft, as well as kayaks, wakeboards, WaveRunners and snorkeling equipment. A second gym is located on the lower deck.

About Blue Moon
The owner's first Feadship experience was a two-week cruise on September Blue in the mid-1990s. An immediate convert, he soon bought the 47.50m Mi Gaea , which was renamed Blue Moon . Not long after, the designs for a brand-new Feadship were on the table and the second Blue Moon - at 50.28m the largest aluminium Feadship ever built at the time - was launched in 2000. The third Blue Moon was launched in 2005.

Motor Yacht
Launched in 2005, the 60.35 metre superyacht Blue Moon stands testament to meticulous design by Donald Starkey and expert construction by Feadship. Custom-built, this superyacht was refitted in 2008 and is ideal for sole-family use or perfect for long-journeys with charter guests.
With space on board for 12 guests, accommodation consists of a full-beam on-deck master suite, with office and guest room / gym, measuring approximately 1200 sq ft. The grand Owner’s suite is joined by two twin cabins connected to two queen cabins to offer a layout transformation from cabin to full suite. Her layout also provides space for 13 staff of highly skilled yacht crew and her Captain, making life on the water idyllic, down to the last detail.
Her glass cylinder elevator, large skylight in the sundeck, touch-and-go helicopter pad and updated 1972 Riva tender are just some of the design elements on board. This quintessential family boat benefits from the input of designer, builder and owner. Her interiors, also created by Donald Starkey, are a rich make-up of dark woods and light creams, expertly blended to create a stately home feel on the water.

Built in steel and aluminium to Lloyds class by Dutch yard Feadship , she was designed by Donald Starkey , who also designed the interior, and was delivered in 2005. Some of her most recent modifications include a full superstructure repaint in 2018, the upgrade of her Quantum zero speed stabilisers to XT-Fins in 2019 and the repaint of her hull and main-deck bulwarks in 2021. The master suite, located on the main deck, incorporates the owner’s office and gymnasium. She offers a further five guest staterooms which are situated below deck. It is possible to combine four of these guest staterooms to create two large VIP suites, each with a sitting room and separate his and her bathroom. Therefore, on the lower guest level, there is the choice of a five, four, or three stateroom layout, plus a guest gymnasium. All cabins have entertainment centres, television screens and en suite bathroom facilities. The bridge deck lounge has a full wet bar, games table, sofa and lounge chairs and an 82-inch drop-down television screen with surround sound. There is also access to an enclosed glass-panelled dining area with expandable table for up to 12 guests. The glass can be removed completely to create an al fresco dining experience if preferred. There is a cocktail area with L-shaped seating aft with access to the bridge deck, walk around decks and Portuguese Bridge.
