The award winning 63.95m/209'10" motor yacht 'Lady Marina' was built by Feadship in the Netherlands at their Aalsmeer shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Donald Starkey and she was completed in 1999. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Donald Starkey.

About Lady Marina

Her modern yet timeless exterior style employs a slight chine and knuckle to break up a large hull area of the raised bow while a surprisingly intricate superstructure design by UK designer Donald Starkey made use of Feadship’s ability to bend and weld aluminium. Tinted windows are inset within a contrasting horizontal paint band on main and upper decks and the height and weight of the decks are optically minimized by horizontal detailing and silver metallic paint. The sundeck was extended to land a personal helicopter.

New Build & Naval Architecture of Luxury Yacht LADY MARINA

De Voogt Naval Architects was the naval architect firm involved in the formal superyacht plans for LADY MARINA. Also the company De Voogt Naval Architects skillfully collaborated on this venture. Interior designer Donald Starkey Designs was employed for the creative internal ambience. In 1999 she was actually launched to accolade in Aalsmeer and post sea trials and finishing touches was then passed on to the yacht owner. The Feadship De Vries Shipyard completed their new build motor yacht in the Netherlands. The core hull was constructed with steel. The motor yacht superstructure component is made extensively using aluminium. With a width of 11.22 metres or 36.8 feet LADY MARINA has fairly large interior. A fairly deep draught of 3.51m (11.5ft) selects the amount of marinas she can enter into, taking into account their particular depth at low tide.

Engineering & Speeds On M/Y LADY MARINA:

The 3516B DITA engine powering the yacht is produced by CATERPILLAR. Connected to her Caterpillar engine(s) are twin screw propellers. The main engine of the yacht generates 2000 horse power (or 1472 kilowatts). She is equiped with 2 engines. The sum power for the boat is accordingly 4000 HP / 2943 KW. As for stabalisers she utilises Vosper. The bow thrusters are Hrp.
