Motor Yacht Service Centre has been over 40 years in the making. Our Managing Director Dean Ryder started his boat building career in Auckland in 1979.

To this date, Motor Yacht Service Centre continues to complete warranty and service work to Maritimo Luxury Motor Yachts, but has a large fleet of boats in its care, including Riviera, Maritimo, Grand Banks, Squadron, Azimut, Ferretti, Sun Seeker and Horizon to name a few.

MYSC has been the warranty and after-sales service partner for Maritimo since their inception in 2005.

Our custom service packages include access to pick-up and delivery of your yacht anywhere on the East Coast and a dedicated Service Manager for project management and ease of communication, as well as in-season support. Also included is a comprehensive inspection from stem to stern-including sea trial , cleaning and detailing of the entire boat , comprehensive quality control process for the outboard motors, inboard engines and propulsion, and digital control systems to ensure a superior operating experience.

We offer full refits, restorations, and upgrade services at all of our nine Hinckley Yacht Services locations. We see all varieties of makes and models at our yards, including racing sailboats, express yachts, day sailers, motor yachts, super yachts, trawlers, sport fish yachts, outboard yachts, and center consoles.

We brought our 85' Motortacht to Hinckley Yacht Services for an extensive refit involving a repower, complete varnish work, added a custom wet bar, new cushion upholstery, and full hull paint. The work was extensive, but we knew we were in good hands. From the communication with our Service Manager to the skilled craftsman and tradespeople, it was an excellent experience and we are thrilled with the end result.

Our unique mobile service is designed to bring our concierge level of service to you, wherever you may be. We know your time is valuable and we’re in the business of optimizing it, especially time spent on the water, no matter where you are.

I texted my Service Manager about an issue I was having onboard my center console in the morning. They sent a tech straight to my boat where it was docked at my house within a few hours. The tech found the issue and resolved the problem pretty quickly. I was out on the water that same afternoon with my kids and grandchildren.

When I'm done using my boat for the summer in Nantucket, I let my Service Manager know she's ready to head south to Palm Beach. I make a simple phone call, and the Hinckley team handles everything else. When I arrive in Palm Beach, my boat is there in my slip, serviced and ready for the winter season.

Kevin Ryan, founder of Outbound Yacht Services, and ABYC certified Master Technician with over 30 years of hands on yacht service experience is also an active yachtsman himself. Kevin oversees the specification for each project, assigns the appropriately skilled technician / project manager and provides oversight. Outbound Yacht Services employs ABYC certified technicians and has certain members of its team additionally certified by OEM’s on key equipment.

Outbound Yacht Services performs its work in your slip or ours to make servicing your boat as convenient for you as possible. Our primary service area is Marina Del Rey to San Diego. Though our technicians often go where you need them when having our people work on that project, at that time, in that location is what is best for you.

Legend Yacht Transport specializes in the ocean transport of marine vessels and equipment. This includes both charter and liner services.

Charter Services Where the vessel is lifted from the water and secured on our custom cradling system aboard deck of one of our charter vessels, which then travels to the assigned port.

Liner Services Where a scheduled sailing is provided on either a container vessel (as Containerized, Out-of-Gauge or Break Bulk) or on a Roll-On/Roll-Off ship as rolling cargo.

Tiara Yachts is a U.S. builder that values adventure as a key piece of its DNA. I’ve done trips on board a number of their boats that were focused on fishing and diving. Those models were built for fun—small and sporty with a wind-in-your-hair vibe.

The next model down is the new EX54, which debuted at last month’s Miami show. With a length that is six feet smaller, this boat is just as creative with yacht-y accoutrements, along with attention to detail that cements Tiara’s next-generation ambitions. I had a chance to step aboard to see the similarities with the EX60.

The EX54’s’s cockpit will most likely lure many owners away from similar-sized competitors, thanks to its customizability. It comes in three setups that include a social version with two settees facing one another, an adventure configuration that loses the rear settee to make room for dive tanks and scuba gear, or a “glass-patio” design with modular ottomans.

The boat in Miami had the double settee which, coupled with mezzanine seating a few steps up and forward, gave this boat the feel of a larger motoryacht, in line with the trend of maximizing the exterior space that is currently in vogue in the superyacht world. The mezzanine seating featured a flip-down teak bar to port with a flip-up window with Australian undertones. I found it a bit odd that the bar was not adjacent to the amidships galley for easier service.

The EX54’s cabin featured two Tiara hallmarks: high-level woodwork and a focus on ergonomics. The teak across the main deck was richly grained, with snug joinery. Handholds were common as well, but discreetly embedded in structures like a dining table and a countertop so as not to dim the yacht’s aesthetic appeal.

Other nods to onboard comfort can be found down in the full-beam master amidships that is remarkably roomy for a boat this size, a trait that extended to the head where the shower had 6-feet, 8-inches of headroom and enough shoulder space for just about anyone, short of NBA stature, to fit comfortably.

The boat is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS2 950s that is paired with a glass cockpit by Garmin. The joystick control gives the driver excellent slow-speed maneuverability and high-speed handling as well as low noise. In speed tests, the boat reached a top end of 38.7 mph, with a friendly cruise of 30.6 mph that delivered a 334-mile range.

In the end, what you’re getting is a yacht with Tiara’s trademark DNA for adventure and seaworthiness in a package that is decidedly more luxe. It’s a combination that that should be appealing, both to Tiara owners looking to move up, and to owners of foreign-built vessels that may soon come around to the rising tide of American build quality.
