Penned by Clifford Denn, the exterior is characterized by long, flowing lines and a round-bilge hull. The owner, who is a skilled seafarer, added a second steering position on the flybridge and a foldable mast that allows the vessel to pass beneath bridges. He also opted for a hybrid propulsion system (a first for Heesen) that ensures cleaner cruising and reinforced insulation to keep things cozy even in northern areas.

“Heesen’s Smart Custom solution represented the perfect starting point for an experienced yachtsman to concentrate on the important details for him and his family,” the owner’s representative, Stefan Zucker, said in a statement . “ Cinderella Noel IV is a testament to Heesen’s intelligent approach, allowing this family to create their dream machine with the certainty of a result which would have taken considerably more time and cost to build individually without being sufficiently tested.”

The owner worked closely with Luca Dini Design and Architecture and Heesen’s in-house engineering team to create a layout suited to long periods at sea. The living quarters feature his and her working spaces and sliding partitions that create privacy as needed. The decor is the epitome of “quiet luxury,” with subtle white, greige, and taupe furnishings contrasting rich wood flooring. There are pops of deep blues and greens, too, with the colorway reflecting the high-latitude parts of the world Cinderella Noel IV will cruise.

The exterior decks are nothing to sneeze at, either, with a glass-bottomed swimming pool, a fire pit, and multiple lounge and dining areas.

“ Cinderella Noel IV is imbued in every detail with the owners’ passion and experience,” adds Heesen CCO Mark Cavendish. “The energy they have put into creating a yacht that perfectly suits their lifestyle is impressive.”

Cinderella Noel IV is expected to officially take to the seas in March 2024.

Same as the other Sunseeker 116 yachts, CINDERELLA NOEL III features beautiful exterior lines and a sporty look.

The flybridge features a vast seating and a sunbathing area. Aft of the flybridge hosts a Jacuzzi, a spacious sunbathing area with a huge U-shape sofa. There is also a bar where guests can get some delicious drinks prepared by the crew. Outdoor area aft of the main deck features an alfresco dining and relaxation area.

Placed on the main deck, the salon benefits from lots of natural light coming through the large windows. The open-plan living area hosts the formal dining space forward, and the ample lounge behind it.

The yacht is powered by two 2 x MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines, which can produce a top speed of 25 knots. At her cruising speed, she has a maximum range of 1,500nm.

Heesen is delighted to announce the christening of Project Oslo24 in the presence of the owners, their family and friends, as well as the Heesen employees and subcontractors responsible for her construction. There is no better way to celebrate the winter holidays than to welcome the latest addition to our fleet.

This 50-metre, round-bilge steel motor yacht is a beautiful example of what clients who choose to build a ‘Smart Custom’ yacht with Heesen can achieve. A solid and proven engineering platform, it represented the ideal springboard for these experienced clients, allowing the shipyard to create their dream machine with the best possible balance between quality, customisation and delivery time.

Based on the design of Heesen’s award-winning 50-metre steel series, with flowing lines by Clifford Denn, Project Oslo24 is the individualised implementation of her owners’ yachting knowledge and experience. They selected this proven design as the foundation for a yacht that fully reflects their lifestyle, taste and intended use. Every aspect of their boat speaks of their close involvement and personal understanding of life at sea, ranging from the reinforced insulation for operating in northern areas, to the crew area’s elevated standard tailored to the highly trained and family-oriented team. This also includes a separate crew outdoor deck area, heated floors, winter tents and mosquito nets.

The owner, a passionate skipper, wanted a second steering position on the Fly, installing a flight of stairs to facilitate transition from the flybridge to the wheelhouse. This steel yacht features a hybrid propulsion system, a first-time installation for Heesen, along with a foldable mast for navigating bridge passages and channel navigation lights for planned canal and lock passages. These additions perfectly demonstrate a yacht built and equipped for its intended use.

The owners also worked closely with Luca Dini Design and Architecture and Heesen’s engineering team to create a layout that suits their life on board, conceived for extended stays with his and hers working spaces. Sliding partitions add versatility and offer more space or privacy for guests as required.

“This project has been a unique experience,” said Silvia Margutti of Luca Dini Design and Architecture, “driven by the owner’s passion and the shipyard’s expertise, with every detail analysed and agreed with the clients. This ‘Smart Custom’ build confirmed Heesen’s ability to achieve excellent results and nurture a close relationship with clients to fulfil their special requests.”

The décor is a refined and pure expression of quiet luxury and Scandinavian chic. White, greige and taupe soft furnishings contrast with high gloss Indian rosewood and dark oak flooring to create an elegant base for accents of colour. Deep blue and musk-green elements punctuate the space beautifully. The yacht has been designed to navigate the fjords and waterways of the high northern latitudes, and the interior scheme complements the natural world where Cinderella Noel IV will cruise. Fine leather panels crafted by Foglizzo Atelier depict antique sea charts of the owners’ favourite cruising areas. A leitmotif of gentle ripples in the woodwork is used vertically and horizontally to emphasise the connection with nature. Iconic pieces of loose furniture have been carefully selected from Cassina, Paola Lenti and Toso, to name just a few. There is no ostentation. The resulting ambience is tasteful and harmonious, with materials and finishes selected for their durability and ease of maintenance. The interior appeals to several generations of families at the same time.

Heesen Launches Project Oslo24

Heesen Yachts in the Netherlands has launched Project Oslo24, a 164-foot yacht that the shipyard calls a “smart custom” build that balances quality, customization and delivery time.

Christened Cinderella Noel IV , the yacht has a steel hull with exterior design by Clifford Denn, who has had his own firm in France since 2003. Denn has worked on numerous Heesen builds including the 164-foot Omaha , the 164-foot Triton and the 131-foot Lionshare .

Cinderella Noel IV has an owner who is an experienced cruiser, so Heesen merged Denn’s ideas with the owner’s wishes. Some examples include reinforced insulation for cruising in northern climates, heated soles, winter tents and mosquito nets. The yacht also has an “elevated standard” in the crew area, along with a separate crew outdoor deck, to attract a highly trained team.

Another owner request was for a second steering position on the flybridge, where the owner likes to drive the yacht himself. Heesen installed stairs from the flybridge to the wheelhouse to connect these two navigation spaces.

Cinderella Noel IV also marks Heesen’s first installation of a hybrid propulsion system. That technology, along with the yacht’s mast for navigating bridges, and its channel navigation lights for transiting canals and locks, indicate a substantive cruising itinerary in the years ahead. For instance, the owner’s plans include an exploration of the northern fjords.

“Heesen’s Smart Custom solution represented the perfect starting point for an experienced yachtsman to concentrate on the important details for him and his family,” Stefan Zucker, the owner’s representative with Zucker & Partner, stated in a press release. “ Cinderella Noel IV is a testament to Heesen’s intelligent approach, allowing this family to create their dream machine with the certainty of a result which would have taken considerably more time and cost to build individually without being sufficiently tested.”

Interiors are by Luca Dini Design and Architecture. The firm is based in Florence, Italy, and has worked with numerous superyacht builders, including ISA, Wider, Rossinavi, Columbus and Tankoa. Additional projects with Heesen include two 180-footers: Reliance and Venus .

On Cinderella Noel IV, the interior design brief was for extended family cruises with his and hers spaces to work. The design firm added sliding partitions to make interior areas more versatile.

“This project has been a unique experience, driven by the owner’s passion and the shipyard’s expertise, with every detail analyzed and agreed with the clients,” Silvia Margutti of Luca Dini Design and Architecture stated in the press release.

Heesen describes the décor as “quiet luxury and Scandinavian chic.” White, greige and taupe soft furnishings contrast with high-gloss Indian rosewood and dark oak soles. Pops of color are deep blue and musk green. Leather panels by Foglizzo Atelier depict antique sea charts. Vertical and horizontal ripples in the woodwork emphasize the connection with nature. Furniture is from Cassina, Paola Lenti and Toso, among others.

50m CINDERELLA NOEL IV Delivered: Heesen’s One-of-a-Kind Hybrid Superyacht

Heesen has proudly announced that YN 20150, otherwise known as CINDERELLA NOEL IV, has been successfully delivered following intensive tests in the North Sea. She boasts a hybrid propulsion system that represents the pinnacle of 21st-century technology, offering cleaner, quieter, and more efficient cruising prospects.

CINDERELLA NOEL IV has been built for ambitious Owners that wished for the perfect yacht for extended cruising in the Scandinavian archipelago and Norwegian fjords. They required a vessel that offered unparalleled privacy and comfort, which was achieved by the guidance of ZUCKER & PARTNER and close collaborations with Heesen’s engineers and the Luca Dini Design and Architecture team. 

Stefan Zucker and Sven Stark, the Owners’ surveyors and project managers, commented: ‘We have hardly experienced such intense involvement of clients ever before, showing so much enthusiasm and enjoyment for the yacht and appreciation for everybody of the build-team and Heesen succeeded perfectly to integrate these enthusiastic owners in the production procedure and milestones.’

Drawing upon years of sailing experience, the Owner, who is an established yachtsman, introduced an array of practical and technical ideas to CINDERELLA NOEL IV. This gave Heesen the spectacular opportunity to participate in the creation of such a unique vessel, in which every single detail has been meticulously designed and managed. 

She has been built on the Dutch yard’s proven engineering platform as a smart custom yacht, therefore boasting exceptional performance prospects. CINDERELLA NOEL IV exceeded all expectations over the course of her sea trials, which took place in rough weather conditions.

Bob van Zundert, Captain of CINDERELLA NOEL IV, commented: ‘The weather worsened during the course of the tests and we ended up with wave heights increasing to 2.6 metres and wind speeds up to around 30 knots. Conditions were perfect to test the handling of Cinderella Noel IV. Her swift responses to helm and throttle commands in rough sea conditions generated a lot of confidence. It is a privilege to have clients on board during the tests, and we enjoyed letting them see what their new yacht is capable of.’

By working on a familiar engineering ground, Heesen and the Owners’ team were able to place a wealth of attention on the finer details of her design, allowing for a beautiful balance between quality, customisation and delivery time. 

CINDERELLA NOEL IV is equipped with a hybrid propulsion system that embraces the very best of modern technology. She is cleaner, quieter, and more efficient than yachts of a similar craft, offering incontrovertible advantages over traditional diesel propulsion. 

Her hybrid drivetrain utilises diesel engines and electric motors for both propulsion and hotel needs. Not only does this system save energy and reduce emissions, it also enables silent cruising and minimal vibration, maximising comfort onboard. 

Twin MTU 8V4000 M63 (IMO Tier III) main engines are coupled to a water-cooled, 135kW Danfoss electric motor on the same propeller shaft, allowing for three cruising modes that offer versatile options, flexible power management and redundancy.

Working on a familiar engineering ground allowed Heesen and the owners' team to direct their efforts and attention to the fine details. It represented the ideal springboard for these experienced clients, allowing the shipyard to create a dream machine with the best possible balance between quality, customisation, and delivery time.

To minimise the vessel's environmental impact, the owner has opted for a hybrid propulsion system that embraces the best of 21st-century technology. Heesen's hybrid system offers incontrovertible advantages over traditional diesel propulsion and will ensure that Cinderella Noel IV is cleaner, quieter, and more efficient than comparable conventional crafts.

The hybrid drivetrain can draw on diesel engines and electric motors for both propulsion and hotel needs. In automotive engineering, such systems emphasize energy saving and reducing emissions, but hybrid propulsion at sea has broader aims. Silent cruising and minimal vibration enormously enhance comfort levels on board and are especially appealing during night passages.

The heart of the hybrid system is the yacht's twin MTU 8V4000 M63 (IMO Tier III) main engines, each coupled to a water-cooled, 135kW Danfoss electric motor on the same propeller shaft. Heesen delivers 50-metre smart-custom hybrid yacht

After intensive tests in the North Sea, Heesen Yachts has delivered YN 20150 Cinderella Noel IV. The 50-metre yacht is built on Heesen’s proven engineering platform as a smart custom yacht.

The owners christened their yacht on December 23, 2023. Collaborating closely with Heesen ’s engineers and the Luca Dini Design and Architecture team, the owners have realised their ambition to build the perfect yacht for extended cruising in the Scandinavian archipelago and Norwegian fjords.

The yacht exceeded all expectations during three days of sea trials in the North Sea, even in rough weather conditions. The shipyard’s captain Bob van Zundert comments: ‘The weather worsened during the course of the tests and we ended up with wave heights increasing to 2.6 metres and wind speeds up to around 30 knots. Conditions were perfect to test the handling of Cinderella Noel IV. Its swift responses to helm and throttle commands in rough sea conditions generated a lot of confidence.’
