Yacht Rentals in Singapore: Where to Hire Affordable and Luxury Yachts for Boat Trips & Parties
Whether you’re looking for an overnight staycation in luxury yacht, a yacht party, a yacht for fishing or the cheapest yacht rental for a new experience, yacht rentals in Singapore are a great way to have a fun day out!
Looking for a yacht rental in Singapore to plan a unique celebration or a getaway from the city? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. While living in Singapore means you’ve got access to off-the-beaten-track islands and many good beaches , you may want a new way to experience these offerings. A yacht charter or yacht rental is a great way to enjoy Singapore’s best sunsets , tuck into star-lit dinners and have fun with a great variety of water sports with minimal hassle. Whether you’re looking for a luxury yacht for a sailcation to Pulau Ubin or a cheap yacht rental for a fun date out at sea, here’s our handy list of some of the best yacht rentals in Singapore.
Quick tip: Each operator has an array of yacht rental packages, so be sure to ask about meals, personalisation requests, trip durations, group sizes, island hop-on, hop-off options and other necessities you may need to bring on your own before making a boat booking. If your yacht is stopping at Lazarus island , ask if they will be mooring at the beach where you can swim to the sand or just within the jetty area (calmer for water sports but without the island feel).

Helpful Questions
As of 22 June 2024, the SG government has allowed all yachts to sail (other than yachts departing from Keppel bay). This means that if your chosen yacht is departing from One 15 Marina (Sentosa), or Republic of Singapore Yacht Club (West Coast), you can sail out with no issues.
It depends on the yacht you pick, and how many persons are in your group. Small basic private yachts for 5-8 persons start from approximately $600 for 4-hours, and the larger and more luxury ones for 20-30 persons will be $2000-$3000. Also most yachts more expensive on a weekend/public holiday than on a weekday. Depending on the yacht, you can bring your own food and drinks onboard for no extra charge, but usually if you want to rent a BBQ grill on board you'll need to pay an additional charge.

Boat Staycation Singapore: Relaxation on the Water
- On March 13, 2023
Imagine yourself on a boat trip, floating on the water with nothing but the sounds of the sea breeze around you. This is what you can experience on a boat staycation in Singapore. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, boat staycations offer an unparalleled chance for relaxation. If this sounds like your idea of paradise then it’s time to head on over to a private yacht club and book that yacht charter! In this blog post, we will discuss about what is a boat staycation, things you have to consider before booking a boat, what to do during the staycation, as well as which boat staycation locations to visit around Singapore!
What is a boat staycation?
A boat staycation is a vacation spent on board a yacht cruise while at the same time docked in Singapore. The word “stay” means that you will be staying overnight, usually for one night to two nights and more than just sitting on an open deck or listening to music and having drinks.
What are some of the things you have to consider before booking your own boat?
Well, first thing’s first: find out which company or yacht club offers boat charters around Singapore islands like B.O.B Marine and Discover Sailing Asia. If it’s not too much trouble, take note of these details, so that way you don’t get confused when comparing prices with multiple boat rental Singapore companies later on during your search online.
Once you’ve found a few boat hire Singapore companies that offer boat staycations, it’s time to compare prices and see which one will give you the best deal. Of course, this isn’t as easy or straightforward as there are many factors to consider in order to get the most bang for your buck.
You have to weigh up things such as how long you’re planning of spending on your boat staycation, what type of vessel do want or need and lastly, your itinerary! Once all these considerations have been made, then it’s time to book your yacht charter!
What to do during the boat staycation?
Now that you’ve got everything all set and ready, it’s time to think about what you want to do during your staycation. If you’re looking for some ideas, read on below!
1) Go fishing: Singapore is home to many different types of fish, so this would be the perfect opportunity to try and catch dinner yourself! All you need are a few fishing rods and bait – or if you don’t have any gear, most yacht clubs will provide them for a rental fee.
2) Take in the sights: With a boat charter, you can explore areas of Singapore that are inaccessible by land. Why not take a trip down the river past iconic landmarks like Gardens by the Bay or even venture out into open sea for an incredible view of the Marina Bay skyline?
3) Relax and have a drink: Take some time out to relax on deck and catch some sun. What better way to spend an afternoon than with a cold drink in hand and good company by your side?
Where are the best boat staycation locations in Singapore?
There are many different places around Singapore for you to enjoy a boat staycation, but here are our top picks!
– Marina South Pier: This location is great if you’re looking for easy access to both the city centre and Sentosa Island. There’s also plenty of restaurants and bars close by should you need a break from cooking or want to grab a bite.
– East Coast Park: If you’re looking for a more scenic location, then East Coast Park is the place for you. With its long stretch of beach and lush greenery, it’s perfect for those who want to relax and take in some fresh air.
– Singapore’s southern islands: You can also go on a boat charter to Singapore’s southern islands like Lazarus Island, St John’s Island and even the offshore island of Pulau Seringat. These places are home to many marine life species as well as historical sights – not forgetting that you’ll get some incredible views too!
Closing thoughts
We hope that this article has given you a good overview of what boat staycation in Singapore is all about, and more importantly, what to do during the staycation. So get out there and start planning for your next boat staycation – we promise you won’t be disappointed!

Super Yacht
Super Yachts or Mega Yachts are very expensive, privately owned, professionally crewed sailing or motor yachts. There is no industry-wide standard for the difference between super yacht and mega yacht. The only legal distinction between them is the length of the yacht - above 24 metres and above 50 metres respectively
Sailing Yacht
Plenty of them in South East Asia. Sailing yacht is a leisure craft that uses sails as its primary means of propulsion. They have a keel, centreboard and daggerboard. In recent years, these yachts have evolved from fairly simple vessels with basic accommodation into sophisticated and luxurious boats.
Motor Yacht
Commonly known as recreational yachts that normally range from 10 metres and above; and made of fibreglass, aluminium, steel or carbon fibre. Clever use of ergonomics allows interior space in the salon for a galley (kitchen), bedroom, navigation area and equipment plus large deck areas in some for relaxation.
A catamaran is a two hulled craft that derives stability on water from its wide beam that reduces the rocking motion. The two hulls are connected by a bridging structure with webbing. Catamarans have large and spacious interiors and cabin space. Catamarans usually have a shorter draft than monohulls.
Monohulls use heavy, weighted keels suspended under water to keep the boat upright. In theory, no matter how much you heel, gravity will not let the keel come out of the water. We have a varied range in this category of yachts in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
Classic Yacht
Wooden yachts or even those built in an era not current. These yachts have a keel fitted in the lower portion of the hull for better directional stability and also keep the boat upright. Gravity will not let the keel come out of water no matter much how much the boat heels.
We offer unforgettable experiences for every occasion.
Best known for its cultural diversity, colonial history, world-class shopping, varied cuisines, the F1 Grand Prix and the beaches of Sentosa Island, this tiny red dot has made its mark, not only with its infrastucture on land but also with its state-of-the-art marinas. If you're looking for the ideal and unique venue event - we highly recommend doing it on a motor or sailing luxury yacht charter in Singapore. Events on yachts are often far more impactful than just hiring another hotel meeting room. We have a full range of boats and activities for corporate entertainment, private parties or for unique, sailboat based, team building events.
The Malaysian waters are well protected and the sailing conditions are not very demanding. The main Malaysia yacht charter areas are Langkawi, Tioman and their surrounding islands. The Langkawi Archipelago is located in northwest Malaysia near the Thai border. The sailing area is north of the Strait of Malacca in the southern Andaman Sea and includes a group of 99 islands. Tioman is located in the Gulf of Thailand, about 30 nautical miles east of the mainland of the Malay Peninsula. The sailing area covers the entire archipelago between Tioman and Aur, and the islands off the coast of Mersing. The islands in the vicinity are all close together and ideal for island hopping. Pulau Rawa, Seri Buat, Tinggi, Sibu and Pemanggil are some of neighboring islands. Sebana Cove is another popular detination for sailing from Singapore. A two to five day voyage planning is required.
With astounding diversity, the islands of the Indonesian archipelago offer some of the world’s best diving, snorkelling, fishing spots. Extending over 5000 km from east to west, and over 1700 km north to south, the 17,000 plus islands make up the largest archipelago in the world. Its proximity to Singapore, makes the country even more attractive for a weekend getaway for 2-4 days to nearby islands like Mapur, Nikoi, Pulau Pankil, Bintan and Batam and even the most scenic Anambas Islands. Very few sailing experiences can compare with the culture, history and scenery that Indonesia has to offer, so why not be one of the few to properly explore the magical waters.
The best sailing destination in South East Asia. Thailand is located very close to the equator and outside the cyclone zone of the Pacific and Indian Ocean. That’s why it is possible to sail all the year around. The northeast monsoon (dry season) begins in November and ends in April. The wind speed during this time is between 5 and 20 knots (1 kn = 1.852 km/h) from northeast. The southwest monsoon (rainy season) begins in May and takes place until October. During this time there is much wind and better sailing conditions as in the dry season. From Singapore, if you are planning a voyage to Phuket and nearby islands, then a 12-15 days trip would be ideal. Charters from Phuket offers so much variety, culture and adventure that you'll be constantly amazed!

Unconventional Staycations In Singapore: Spend The Night On A Yacht!
It’s hard not to yearn for a holiday, especially at this time of the year. The decade is coming to an end, and it’s the perfect time for a getaway with your friends.
Sadly, planning an overseas trip can be a hassle. It can be hard to find a time where you and your friends are free to travel. Just the thought of having to spend so much money on the trip can be a nightmare too, especially given how expensive plane tickets are at this time of the year.
But what if there’s another option for a getaway?
Staycations might be what you need.
Table of Contents
What’s so great about staycations in Singapore?
Staycations are easy and convenient.
The best thing about staycations are that you and your friends won’t have to plan that much.
It can be on a weekend where everyone’s available, and there’s no need for itineraries or figuring out how to get from one place to another.
You won’t have to deal with arduous tasks like comparing and booking the best flights, and finding a money changer with the best rates to exchange currency.
All you need to do for a staycation is to book accommodation, and take the bus, train, or cab to get there.
It doesn’t get any more convenient than that.
Staycations are affordable
The cost can be what’s holding you back from overseas trips.
Even if you’re flying on a budget airline, the cost of plane tickets, accommodation, food, transport, and activities on the itinerary combined can reach a minimum of $500 per pax.
It gets more expensive when the place you’re going to has no cheap public transport. Of course, forking out extra cash to take cabs or renting a car is an option, but would you want to spend all your time travelling this way in a foreign place?
Whereas for staycations in Singapore, your cost will mainly be on accommodation. You won’t have to worry about overspending or running out of cash, and you get to enjoy your day more freely.
Staycations are relaxing
There’s just something special about staycations. You can get away from the bustle of the city, sit back and relax, and spend some quality time with your friends.
With overseas trips, however, you might not be able to take a well-deserved break if you’re going to pack your itinerary to maximise your time there.
Now, you’re probably thinking of having your staycation in a hotel. How nice it would be to swim in the infinity pool too.
Well, having staycations in hotels do sound appealing, but doesn’t it seem to become all too common? You find on your Instagram feed that when someone is having a staycation, it’s almost always in a hotel.
Want something more unconventional than a hotel? How about taking it up a notch by having your staycation on a yacht!
Why should you have staycations in Singapore on a yacht?
Ever thought of yacht staycations? It will certainly make for a unique experience!
Just imagine, you’ll be waking up to the morning breeze, seeing the sunrise while floating in the middle of the sea.
Not only will you and your friends remember it for many years (and decades) to come, it’s also something to flaunt on your social media!
Picturesque view
As you sail away from the main island of Singapore, you’ll be able to enjoy a view like no other from the yacht.
For a start, a panoramic view of the city, as well as the smaller islands surrounding, such as the Southern Islands and St John’s Island. The sea view and breeze have a subtle calming effect too.
At night, you’ll get to marvel at the city skyline in Marina Bay like never before as you view it from a different angle.
Enjoy the best of both worlds
Having staycations on yachts also mean that you can easily alternate between staying on board and being in the waters as and when you like.
Bored of chilling on the deck? Go for a dip in the waters. Tired of staying afloat in the ocean? Climb on board and have a cocktail.
Out-of-the-ordinary activities
There are lots of things that you can do on yacht staycations in Singapore, compared to the typical staycations in hotels.
Whether it’s staying dry or getting wet, there’s something for everyone.
Have a “pool” party in the sea
What’s better than a pool party? One that’s in the sea!
Now’s your chance to swim with your friends in the real infinity pool . Or you can chill on the float and watch the clouds go by as you sip on a cold drink.
Water sports
There are tons of water sports to choose from! Some yachts have water toys included with the rental, so have a go at all of them!
Instead of snorkelling overseas, why not do it during your yacht staycation?
You can also rent water toys like kayaks and stand-up paddles, and race them with your friends. Get your adrenaline pumping! – It’s definitely going to be more challenging than having them in the reservoir!
How about riding the banana boat? Feel the sea breeze (and salty ocean water) sweeping on your face as the boat gets towed by the motorboat.
Island-hopping
You can use this chance to venture to the smaller islands of Singapore as well. Take a break from kayaking and stop by Lazarus Island for a sun-tan.
Want something more relaxing? Take out the fishing rods and fish away. If you’re lucky (and patient) enough, you might even be able to catch one!
Another cool thing that you can do onboard is having a BBQ. It’s undoubtedly going to be different from the ones that you usually have in chalets.
If you’re usually the one who deals with all that fanning and cooking (while your friends sit by instead of helping you), you’ll be glad that you can take a break from that.
The crew will be cooking for you, so you can just chill out with your friends and wait to dig into that sambal sotong .
KTV session
Since you and your friends are in the middle of the ocean, you might as well sing together as loud (and as bad) as you can!
What’s more, you’re free to sing as and when you like it, as long as it’s within your yacht rental time.
Since most yachts come with a KTV machine, you won’t have to skip less appealing songs from the playlist, and worry about exceeding the time limit like you normally would when renting a KTV room.
Feel free to sing the whole night away until your throat is hoarse.
Watch the fireworks
If the timing is right, you can even get to watch the fireworks from the night shows in Sentosa. Just ask your captain to sail the yacht there.
Catch the sunrise and sunset
The best thing about an overnight yacht rental in Singapore for a staycation is that you’ll be able to catch the sunrise and sunset.
Sit on the deck and watch the sun slowly rise and set over the horizon. That’s something you’ll probably be unable to experience on land.
Get your cameras ready too! You won’t want to miss snapping some shots of those golden moments.
What staycations can you do on a yacht?
You can host any kind of staycation on a yacht. Celebrating special events like birthdays or anniversaries, even hosting annual gatherings or grad trips. Having a staycation on a yacht can be a cheaper alternative compared to renting a chalet or booking a hotel.
Finding an unconventional venue for your corporate retreat? We have what you’re looking for.
How to plan for yacht staycations?
Gather your friends and start planning for an unconventional staycation that you’ll never forget.
Settle on the date and activities
Find a weekend where you and your friends are free to sail. The more the merrier! It gets cheaper since more people will be sharing the cost.
You can also begin listing down the activities that you and your friends want to do during the staycation.
Start booking a boat on Yachtly once you’ve settled on a date. Do take note that different yachts have different capacity and amenities available. Be sure to check if you’re booking the right boat.
Here’s an overview of the amenities available in our economy yachts.

List down what you need to bring
Next, you’ll want to list down the things that you and your friends need to bring for the yacht staycation. It shouldn’t be much, as almost everything is available onboard. The essential items to bring along will just be some spare clothes and towels.
You can also bring your own food, drinks, and cutlery onboard too. Feel free to bring your own booze as well, since we don’t charge any corkage fee.
Add any add-ons
But if you find that bringing your own food is a hassle, you may opt for a BBQ on board. Just order it as an add-on during the booking. Do take note, though, that only the crew is allowed to do the cooking onboard. Additionally, there’s a BBQ service fee for the BBQ pit, cooking, and cleaning up.
Inform us that you’re staying overnight
Last but not least, be sure to email [email protected] to let us know that you’ll be staying overnight so that we can make the arrangements.
Having a yacht staycation can be the perfect getaway for you to take a break from school or work, and away from the bustling city.
Happy planning for your next staycation!

Who says you need to go overseas for an epic getaway? Save money (and annual leave) by going for a unique weekend staycay right here in Singapore — we’re talking treetop bungalows, private aquariums and even rustic colonial homes!
What’s more, you can even get extra Cashback (up to 11%!) when you book accommodations on platforms like Agoda , Tripadvisor , and more via ShopBack . Read till the end to find out more 😉.
So grab your boo, a few good friends or take your family on these 12 incredible Singapore staycations during the holiday season!
1) TreeTop Loft: Bungalow in the trees
Let’s take things to another level and experience privacy 12m above ground. In your own Equarius TreeTop Loft , live among the trees with balconies overlooking the lush greenery of Mount Faber and Sentosa , a view I’d trade over skyscrapers any day!
With only two lofts (Angsana and Tembusu) available, the exclusivity makes it perfect for a couple’s retreat or a memorable family staycay. Each loft features a huge living room, an en-suite bedroom, and your very own bathtub.
TreeTop Loft also comes with personalised butler service for anything you need, 24/7. And if you’d like to go around Resorts World Sentosa, buggy service is available any time of the day.
But don’t worry if you aren’t able to snatch up these exclusive lofts. Equarius Villas has other luxurious room options to choose from too, some with their own private pool!
Cost: From ~S$5,050/night Address: Resorts World Sentosa – TreeTop Loft, 8 Sentosa Gateway, Sentosa Island Singapore 098269
2) The Great Madras: Boutique hotel with Wes Anderson-inspired decor
If you’re a fan of the retro-pop Wes Anderson movies, you’ll enjoy staying at The Great Madras . The preppy boutique hotel is adorned with fun prints and old-school furnishings that make you feel you’re on one of Anderson’s movie sets.
You can choose options from private rooms in a co-living space to a grand suite with a tub, for a different experience with each stay.
The aesthetic facilities also make for Insta-worthy backdrops with their vintage barbershop and tropical laundromat. Take this chance to spruce up your Insta-game!
*Pro-tip: Earn up to 11% upsized Cashback when you activate ShopBack on your browser extension when booking via Agoda !
Cost: From ~S$158/night for a Deluxe Room Address: 28 Madras St, Singapore 208422
3) Villa Samadhi: Quiet colonial home surrounded by nature
Enjoy the slower pace of life at Villa Samadhi . Tucked away in Labrador Nature Reserve , this 1920 colonial home lets you reconnect with nature. Fun fact: The hotel only has 20 rooms, so you’re guaranteed a quiet stay!
With dark wood flooring and furniture against a monochrome palette, you can really see how this refurbished garrison reflects its past influence. Opt for the Crib with the wooden tub to enjoy your bath bombs in style or go for the standalone rustic villas with its own plunge pool for a quick dip in privacy.
But the main highlight here is the Library — an exclusive lounge with a grand ‘candle-lit’ chandelier in the centre, paired with deep red decor! Attached to an old-fashioned bar, it paints the introvert’s dream of sinking into a comfy armchair and escaping into a book while sipping on a cocktail.
Cost: From ~S$347/night for Crib, and from ~S$616/night for Sarang (with a private pool!) Address: 20 Labrador Villa Rd, Singapore 119193
4) Resorts World Sentosa Ocean Suites — Room with a private aquarium
Who wouldn’t want to watch sea creatures gracefully glide past your window right from the comfort of your bed? The Ocean Suite at Equarius Villas gives you this novel experience with rooms built around the S.E.A. Aquarium . So you can get up close and personal with Nemo and friends!
Each suite comes with free WiFi, cable TV, jacuzzi, and a fully equipped kitchen. But if cooking ain’t your thing, there’s always the round-the-clock butler service to help you out.
Cost: From ~S$2,437/night Address: Resorts World Sentosa – Ocean Suites, 8 Sentosa Gateway, Sentosa Island, Singapore 098269
5) Hotel Soloha: From vibrant murals to airy rooms with a private courtyard
The urban chic hotel is electrifying with neon lights and pop-art murals by local artist Ethrisha Liaw . The bold colours set the mood in the bar, perfect for drinks with friends.
The outdoor suite is a popular choice, offering an outdoor tub and private courtyard. The white walls and blue windows will remind you of Greece, whether you’re chilling in the courtyard or unwinding in the tub.
Psst, don’t forget to rack up extra savings by booking your accommodation via ShopBack ! Earn 8% Cashback on Tripadvisor or up to 11% Cashback on Agoda .
Cost: From ~S$231/night for a Deluxe Lite Room, and from ~S$320/night for a Suite with Outdoor Tub Address: 12 Teck Lim Rd, Singapore 088387
6) The Vagabond Club: Boujie Parisian living with bespoke whiskey on the rocks
Bold, gold, and brimming with scarlet red, The Vagabond Club gives you a taste of upper-class living — Parisian-style. French architect Jacques Garcia ‘s interior masterpiece takes you back into the roaring 1920s of jazz clubs and finely-aged liquor, a truly unique experience.
Check out their Whiskey Library, with an impressive collection of 1,000 bespoke pours for you to try.
If you can appreciate the art and the whiskey, you will enjoy the array of artworks that fill the lounge. The hotel’s close proximity to Little India inspired Jacques’ use of Indian artworks and heritage when designing the hotel’s interior.
Cost: From ~S$369/night Address: 39 Syed Alwi Rd, Singapore 207630
7) AMOY Hotel: A walk through Singapore Chinese history
At AMOY , a museum greets you before the concierge does. The main entrance of the hotel retains the front of Fuk Tak Chi Temple , whose space it now inhabits. As you enter, you are welcomed with a showcase of Singapore’s early Chinese immigrants.
The oriental theme continues throughout the rest of the hotel, reflecting the Fukienese people who came from Amoy, China. The rooms, although modern, have oriental detailing with traditional lattice panels, Chinese calligraphy brushes, beautiful tea sets and blue and white porcelain basins.
