Island Routes Caribbean Adventures reserves the right at any time, at our sole discretion; to change or otherwise modify these Terms without prior notice, and your continued access or use of this Website signifies your acceptance of the updated or modified contents.

While we strive to always provide the latest information and details about our product offerings on this Website, information presented here is subject to change and is not guaranteed to be free from errors. Contents of this Website only apply to Tours and Excursions located in the Destinations in which we operate.

All prices listed in this Website are in U.S. Dollars, unless otherwise specified. Promotions listed in this Website can be changed or withdrawn at any time.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Flexible: full refund within a limited period.

For cancellations by Guests, cancellation charges depend on when Island Routes receives notice of the cancellation. Minimum cancellation charges are as follows:

Hotel Guests:

24 hours or less: No Refund

48 hours or less: 50% Cancellation Fee

96 hours or less: 25% Cancellation Fee

96+ hours: Full Refund

Shore Excursions:

96 hours or more: Full Refund

Less than 96 hours: No Refund

G r oup Reservations:

60 days prior to tour date: Full Refund

45 days prior to tour date: 50% Cancellation Fee

30 days prior to tour date: 75% Cancellation fee

Less than 30 days prior to tour date: No Refund

All cancellations of, or changes are subject to applicable restrictions. Island Routes Tours will apply any payments made toward the purchase price against any cancellation charges and will refund any balance remaining after the payment of any charges. In order to receive a refund, if applicable, client must request and receive a cancellation confirmation number. The cancellation charges outlined above are liquidated damages and not a penalty. Holiday periods may be subject to additional cancellation charges. NO REFUNDS OR ADJUSTMENTS WILL BE MADE FOR ANY PORTION OF TOUR OR ATTENDANT SERVICES NOT UTILIZED.

Refund Policy: No refunds or adjustments will be made for any portion of your tour not utilized.

Changes to Reservations: All requested changes to reservations are subject to Island Routes' sole discretion, and any changes must be approved in writing.

Changes are subject to all applicable fees, and charges. Guests wishing to make a change, please call 1.877-768-8370

NO UNLAWFUL OR PROHIBITED USE

As a condition of your use of this Web site, you warrant that you will not use this Web site for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms, conditions, and notices.

PREPAID TOUR & EXCURSION RESERVATIONS

By reserving your tour and excursion, you authorize Island Routes Caribbean Adventures to book reservations for the total reservation price. You agree that your credit card will be charged by Island Routes Caribbean Adventures for the total reservation price.

BANK & CREDIT CARD FEES

Some banks and credit cards impose fees for cross-border transactions. By reserving your tour and excursion on this website, you may see an additional cost/fee appearing on your credit card statement. This fee is solely determined by your Bank and/or Credit Card Company and Island Routes Caribbean Adventures takes no responsibility for these associated costs. If you have any questions about these types of fees applied to your reservation, please contact your bank directly.

Tour times and dates may vary based on volume or availability. To the exclusion of tours identified at www.islandroutes.com as being owned by Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, there exists no relationship of master and servant or of agency between the Operators of tours and either Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, or the hotel. Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, and the hotel, do not operate the tours, and for these purposes, the Operators of tours are independent contractors. The Operators of tours are solely responsible for their acts and omissions and Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, and the hotel, assume no responsibility for such acts and omissions, or for any injury, loss, damage, sickness or accidents sustained on any of the tours offered for sale , including but not limited to any that occur on and/or during the tour, as well as before and after as part of and/or during transport to/from the tour ‐ again, to the exclusion of tours identified as being owned by Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours. Without any exclusion, however, Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, and the hotel, shall not assume any responsibility for injury, loss or damage to any person that voluntarily participates in cliff diving at any location, including but not limited to Dunn's River Falls or Rick's Café, and/or to any person who voluntarily stops as part of and/or during transport to/from a tour at an unintended destination, meaning one that is separate and apart from the scheduled tour and/or destination. Individuals proceeding in such manner assume any and all responsibility and risk, as this is not a recommended activity. Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, and the hotel, in addition shall not assume any responsibility for the loss or damage to money, jewelry, clothing or other valuables that have not been tendered to Management for safe keeping. Please note, for your safety, Guest will not be allowed to participate in helicopter tours and/or transfers if they have undertaken any diving exercise within 24hrs prior to departure of said tour/transfer.

LIMITATION OF DAMAGES

Guest HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES that Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, and the hotel, their parent corporation, affiliates, subsidiaries, insurers, directors, officers, employees, successors, assigns, agents or representatives, SHALL NOT BE LIABLE to Guest for liabilities, claims, actions, damages, cost or expense in any circumstances, for: (A) ANY PERSONAL INJURIES OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OR CAUSED BY ANY ACT OR OMISSION ON THE PART OF ANY Guest(s) and/or Operators of tours, excluding tours identified as being owned by Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours; (B) EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, MENTAL SUFFERING, OR PSYCHOLOGICAL INJURY OF ANY KIND; OR (C) ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES. This specifically includes but is not limited to liabilities, claims, actions, damages, cost or expense ARISING OUT OF OR CAUSED BY food or drink consumed at third party facilities belonging to third party Operators of tours.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours cannot guarantee that it will satisfy special requests and we are not responsible if such requests are not met.

PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

Persons with Disabilities: Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours cannot guarantee that transfer vehicles or tour sites are wheelchair accessible. However, if informed, we will endeavor to make the necessary arrangements. This may however come at an additional cost.

USE OF GUEST'S LIKENESS

The undersigned Guest(s) irrevocably consents to and authorizes the use and reproduction by Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes, or anyone authorized by Island Routes, of any and all photographic, video and other visual portrayal(s) of the undersigned Guest(s), their child or ward, for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to use in magazines, brochures, flyers, television, internet, and websites displays without further reference or compensation. All rights, title and interest therein (including all worldwide copyrights therein) shall be the sole property of Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes, or anyone authorized by Island Routes, free from any claims by the undersigned Guest(s) and or any person deriving any rights or interest from such Guest, AND each undersigned Guest(s) UNDERSTANDS AND HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY SO AGREES.

COMPLIANCE WITH LOCAL LAW

Guest is responsible for knowing, obeying and complying with the laws and regulations of their destination, and neither Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, nor any Tour Supplier, nor the hotel, has any duty to inform or warn Guest about the destination's laws and/or regulations.

This agreement is governed by the laws of Jamaica. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in Jamaica, in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of this Website. Use of this Website is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these terms and conditions, including, without limitation, this paragraph.

You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and Island Routes Caribbean Adventures as a result of this agreement or use of this Web site.

Is this excursion suited for someone in a wheelchair? Obviously I wont climb the dunns river, but would like to come with my family and watch.

No it is not suitable for a wheelchair, the access to the catamaran is not great, and would be difficult for anyone with walking difficulties, the catamaran is really crowded, and we had to negotiate another 2 to get on to ours. At Dunns River the jetty it quite rickety and leads straight on to the sand, hope this useful.

Where are bathroom facilities on this excursion?

Down a few stairs.

We have been many times and love it! My question is this trip my grandchildren will be with us. They are 4, 2 and 2. If an adult stays with them can they go on the boat? They would not snorkel or climb.

There were children on our boat and they were allowed to snorkel. They were not as young as your grandchildren, maybe from 5-12yrs old, but they seemed to have a good time. Just keep an eye on them because when the dancing starts, it can get a little crowded and wild. Have a great vacation!

How long is the catamaran ride from sailing to the falls?

Catamaran package deal is supposedly a full-day COURSE, from the point and time you’ll be picked-up from your hotel normally in the morning after breakfast, and then on the shuttle bus that’s where all the fun begins due to the driver makes that excursions fun and interesting.  Then you’ll be dropped off the place where you need to wear your water shoes when you go to your boat and to the falls and back (lots and lots of fun it is all well worth every dollar spent). Have a good time!

How difficult is it to get back on the boat after snorkeling. How far does the ladder go down in the water?

Normal ladder. Probably 2 rungs below water. Very easy. We had all shapes and sizes in our group.

You depart on a 3 min boat trip to the middle of the lagoon once it's dark. Basically, they want people in the water for the photographer to get your photo, enhance the photos with backlighting and then charge you a hefty sum to purchase the photos. He is kind, attentive, helpful, he is attentive to everything, HE ISBTHE BEST!!!! He filled us with lots of local anecdotes and stories, and told us the most important things of the history of Jamaica during the round trips. The car was great, he was very punctual and had no hurries during the excursion, allowing us to stop every time we wanted and staying as much as we want at Ricks Cafe. I highly recommend this full day tour with Travis to Negril. Travis was AMAZING from pickup to drop off back out our resort in Montego Bay. He shared history of Jamaica, answered my millions of questions, stopped anywhere we asked and made a couple suggestions along the way. We never felt pressured to stop anywhere but appreciated the recommendations. We stopped for Juici Patties (MUST TRY), fresh cut sugar cane, Jamaican beer, photos at the Negril sign and the Tryall water wheel. When we arrived in the 7 mile beach area, we spent a little time at Margaritaville before meeting up with the wonderful Captain Andy. The glass bottom boat and snorkeling were a blast! We also had fun finding seashells while on the island and petting the island cat “Simba”. I had my 9 year old daughter with me and I feel that both Travis and Andy went above and beyond to make sure she felt included and enjoyed the tour as much as the adults. Travis arrived on time, got out at every stop with us, was prompt and responsive when we were ready to leave 7 mile beach and head to Ricks cafe. Book with Travis, you will not regret it! We were staying at Hilton Rose Hall in Montego Bay. The idea of taking a public excursion crammed on a bus wasn’t appealing so we went this route. It was perfect! It started with our driver Lisa picking us up at our resort at 9:30am (the time we requested). It’s at least a 2 hour drive to Negril but we learned a lot along the way. Our kids had their eyes opened to a new culture. In Lucea, Lisa took us to try Juici Patties, a Jamaican must. The area was bustling with activity and Lisa made sure our experience was safe and comfortable- Juici Patties are delicious. Then we made our way to Margaritaville in Negril. Lisa escorted us to meet up with Capt. Andy and the glass bottom boat. Capt. Andy was a fun and welcoming guy. He took us out to the reef that was just a short distance- maybe 15 minutes out (perfect for us!) equipped all of us with our snorkel gear, fed some fish so they came right up by us, and we jumped in! We saw so many fish (We are from Iowa so we were impressed :)). When we were done, we loaded back up and went to a private island. Capt. Andy had already called in our order. We requested 1 lobster to share (we weren’t sure if our kids would like it) for $40. It was so good- and all of our kids loved it. The cooking set up is very primative- black tarps for shade, home made grill, plywood seating- it was an experience but so glad we decided to partake. We spent two hours with Capt. Andy snorkeling and on the island before returning. When we returned, Lisa met us and we enjoyed Negril’s 7 mile beach for about an hour or so. Lisa made sure we had chairs and were settled. When were ready, we texted her and she met us to head to Ricks Cafe which is just up the road a little farther. This place was fun! Workers jumped from a very high platform. There are other very high and not so high cliff jump options for everyone. Our 17 year old jumped off the high cliffs and our 13 and 7 year olds jumped off some lower options. This venue was a fun way to end the day. It is a great place to enjoy the sunset (although we left a little earlier than sunset to get back to Montego Bay timely). On the drive back we had great fun conversations with Lisa learning about Jamaica. We also stopped for some sugar cane for the kids to try from a produce stand in Lucea. Odesha is strong and caught each person as they were coming in hot 🔥 very friendly and encouraging. By the 7th line I was comfortable enough to go again. Thanks I also did the horseback ride to the ocean. My guide was Shine and my horse was star. They shined like stars. Very knowledgeable and aware of the horse and my needs. Shine ensured I was comfortable. I trusted them both while I was in the water. It was also nice learning about the natural medicine and vegetation on the trail. Since it was a private tour, we made stops at fruit stands at our request and he offered to stop wherever we wanted. Everything was on our own time- whenever we wanted to leave the beach etc. we just let him know and we moved on to the next activity. • thomasjP5271KS 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Violated I took my time and read the good and the bad I wish I had only done this before booking this waste of my time and hard earned American dollars That these people and Counrty yearn for the people who has negative reviews were Oh so right not only was this trip a waste but I was assaulted and humiliated on this over crowed boat that not only I saw but others who took the hot bus ride there unauthorized stops and waits poor quality food and wait times overloaded boats used to ferry people back and forth to and from Ricks cafe many under the influnce of alcohol during very choppy seas another hour long wait at Rics for food and more shopping I came here for my 60th and never thought I be harmed or humiliated in front of a boat load of people many if not all who witnessed this as I was one of the last three people to come in from snorkling I wanted to enjoy the water as I do not drink alcohol upon reaching the top of the stairs my mask and breathing apparatus was ripped off my face and head from behind me very violently and for forcfully pulling my earing with it This same crew member began to yell and scream at me as to where I should place the vest I used All seen by Captain Joe and the boat he did nothing he said nothing to his crew mate the other crew members were also quite rude and refused to help with getting snorkling gear The photogher on board was no better than the crew I would have like to gotten a photo but he seemed more concerned with the pretty girls and the so called ballers on this crowded boat this boat and tour was very unprofessional and played offensive rap music that continually used the N--- Word I dont use it and we dont use it at home period they also blasted offensive music referring to licking womans Vagina REALLY ! YOU SHOULD NOT Waste your time with these crooks and this un professional tour then they had the nerve to want a tip SMH If someone else took this tour and was harmed or touched or disrespected in anyway please speak up I still cannot believe what happened to me on that Boat OMG!
