She was built by shipbuilders Oceanco and delivered from their Netherlands-based shipyard in 2009. The yacht is a striking and award-winning vessel that exceeds expectations repeatedly.

Italian interior designer  Nuvolari Lenard  penned the interior of the impressive VIBRANT CURIOSITY.

The interior is best described as a perfect mixture of luxury and sobriety. The yacht features accommodation for 18 guests in 9 cabins.

The cabins are configured in 1 master, 1 VIP, and seven double rooms with luxurious fittings. The master suite has an office and a private exterior deck with a whirlpool.

The VIBRANT CURIOSITY has accommodation for 26 expert crew on board.

An elevator makes getting to the different levels of the yacht easy for guests. The award-winning yacht features a sundeck filled with places to lie in the sun or enjoy the on-deck pool.

A special feature of the interior of VIBRANT CURIOSITY is the lighting that creates a luxury ambiance throughout the ship. On the top deck, there is a helipad with a helicopter.

No interior photos have been released of the VIBRANT CURIOSITY, but Nuvolari Lenard is best known for providing luxury Italian-inspired styling.

Nuvolari Lenard also designed the exterior of the VIBRANT CURIOSITY. The yacht was built by the esteemed shipbuilders  Oceanco  and delivered from the Netherlands-based shipyard in 2009.

She is built with a teak deck, a steel hull, and an aluminum superstructure. Her exterior displays a unique band-like design along the superstructure, and she has a flared bow. VIBRANT CURIOSITY was last refitted in 2015.

The considerable full displacement yacht VIBRANT CURIOSITY is a very distinctive Dutch made superyacht which was launched to completion in 2009. The naval architecture office that made her design with respect to the yacht is Oceanco & Azure and Nuvolari - Lenard. In addition, the interior styling is the work of Nuvolari - Lenard. The yacht is a recent full displacement yacht.

VIBRANT CURIOSITY was the fourth in the series of Y700-coded super yachts. The super yacht has a full-displacement hull, a flared bow and a 14.20m beam. She continues the succession of deliveries that has seen the 80m Amevi and the 82m Alfa Nero delivered in 2007, and the 75,5 m Anastasia in 2008. VIBRANT CURIOSITY was delivered to her new German owners and enjoyed a successful first cruising season before heading to the Oceanco yard in Alblasserdam, The Netherlands for her end of season maintenance work. VIBRANT CURIOSITY accommodations include a master suite with an office and private exterior deck area with whirlpool, a VIP suite, five double suites and 2 two further double guest cabins. The yacht has a crew of 26.

New Build & Design with respect to Luxury Yacht VIBRANT CURIOSITY

Oceanco & Azure was the naval architect involved in the professional vessel design work for VIBRANT CURIOSITY. Her interior design was completed by Nuvolari - Lenard. Oceanco & Azure and Nuvolari - Lenard is also associated with the yacht general design work for this yacht. In 2009 she was actually launched to accolade in Alblasserdam and post sea trials and finishing touches was then passed on to the yacht owner. Oceanco Yachts (Alblasserdam Yachtbuilding) completed their new build motor yacht in the Netherlands. The hull was constructed with steel. The motor yacht main superstructure is made largely with aluminium. With a width of 14.2 m or 46.59 feet VIBRANT CURIOSITY has impressive room. She has a fairly deep draught of 4m (13.12ft).

Installed with twin MTU diesel main engines, VIBRANT CURIOSITY can reach a top speed of 20 knots. Her propulsion units are twin screw propellers. She also has an economical range of 5500 nautical miles whilst underway at her cruising speed of 17 knots. Her total HP is 9360 HP and her total Kilowatts are 6984.

Dear valued user,

As you are aware of our migration project of FleetMon into MarineTraffic, we have almost finalized all necessary steps. The discontinuation of all FleetMon product offerings is imminent.

Therefore, we are terminating our product offering here and a login is no more possible.

If you have not yet accepted our offering for an assisted migration and you need help to set up your account on MarineTraffic, please reach out to us:

If you need any last-minute transfer of your MyFleet or MyAreas please contact us, and we will assist you in a smooth transfer and minimise any disruptions for you.

We are excited to inform you about the merger between FleetMon and MarineTraffic, which will give you more services and tools in your online account. To make sure you have a seamless and effortless transition, our FleetMon Support Team will be taking care of the process for you.

We will create a new MarineTraffic account using the information from your FleetMon account. This includes your username, name, email address, address, telephone and mobile number, as well as your company name and affiliation (if applicable). After you log in to your new MarineTraffic account, we kindly ask you to reset your password for added security. Of course, you will continue to be able to use your FleetMon account for the time being (we will let you know the next steps about this at a later date).

Rest assured, all your subscriptions, whether monthly or yearly, will be matched accordingly. Your My Fleets and Tags, along with your Credit Points, will also be transferred to your new MarineTraffic account. Additionally, we will assist you in smoothly transferring your My Zones.

With your new MarineTraffic account, you will have access to all its features and services during the remaining duration of your FleetMon subscription. If your contract with FleetMon has already expired, there's no need to worry. We are offering a free trial period of two months, allowing you to experience and explore all the fantastic features MarineTraffic has to offer before deciding on a suitable subscription plan. If you encounter any issues or have any questions, contact our support team directly. They will be more than happy to assist you with your new MarineTraffic account.

We would also like to express our appreciation to the photo community for the incredible photos you have contributed over the past few years. Your contributions are invaluable, and we want to ensure that your efforts are preserved. Therefore, we kindly ask you not to transfer the photos manually. Rest assured, we are actively working on a technical solution that will automatically match and include your uploaded photos in your new MarineTraffic account.

We understand that this merger may bring some changes to the online services you are accustomed to. However, we are confident that once you start using your new MarineTraffic account, you will be delighted with the enhanced services and capabilities it provides, making it a seamless continuation of your previous experience.

Vibrant Curiosity

Del Viento- yachts

I walked past striking people today as I climbed off Del Viento . Not striking in the fighting-for-improved-working-conditions sense, these were strikingly attractive, perfectly put-together people. There were a dozen of them, talking amongst themselves as they breezed by in casual clothes, everything about them so together, so flawless. I nodded as we passed. Our eyes didn’t meet. They smelled clean.

Now, it’s possible I might not have noticed this group were they, say in Paris, seated in a snazzy restaurant overlooking the rue des Petits-Champs, lost in a crowd of oenophiles. But we walked by each other on the transient docks in Auke Bay, Alaska.

Auke Bay, Alaska : fifteen miles north of Juneau, 58 degrees north latitude, population: barely a few thousand.

But unassuming Auke Bay is a jumping off point for Glacier Bay National Park . This is the reason that some of the largest privately-owned yachts ( Ice Bear_ , _ Athena_ , _ Lady Christine_ , _ Compass Rose_ ) are here, awaiting their owners, their guests, and their turn to enter the Park—just like _Del Viento .

To put the size of that retro-snazzy inboard inflatable in perspective, that’s a 47-foot beam on Vibrant Curiosity_._

Windy’s brother and one of our nephews (Oliver) are flying up from San Francisco and then we’ll leave Auke Bay for the two-day trip to one of the most lauded cruising grounds in the world. (We’ll soon learn whether it lives up to the hype.) Anyone can enter 5,100-square-mile Glacier Bay, but the National Park Service requires reservations to limit the number of boats in there at any time. We got our seven-day reservation two months ago before leaving Victoria.

I continued to the top of the ramp where half-a-dozen red-jacketed crew busily unloaded fine-looking luggage from three limousines. I turned back to the docks to watch the striking people being helped aboard one of two Vibrant Curiosity tenders tied to the dock. They were little kids with their 30-something parents, they were 40-something couples, they were 60-something people.

I’ll admit I’d sell one of my kids for a week—okay, for a couple days—aboard the 280-foot-long Vibrant Curiosity_ , looking striking and smelling good. Windy probably won’t let that happen, but I can take solace in something else. Aboard _Del Viento , sharing a dock with these obscene yachts, I’m reminded of the power of even a modest, capable boat, able to transform the forces of nature into motion, along a big blue path to some of the most desirable places in the world. No matter what you look like (or smell like). --MR
