Rap wunderkind Lil Yachty has never really been one for subtle statements when it comes to his jewelry. Case in point: he got a bejeweled “ Yachty Simpson ” charm made in homage to the Bart Simpson one that Gucci Mane infamously wore back in the early 2000s. And in an Instagram story that the 21-year-old rapper uploaded yesterday, Yachty Simpson sits pretty on his chest along with an almost incomprehensible amount of glitzy, lustrous chains and pendants, including a snowman and what appears to be a white tiger.
And while Yachty may just be showing off all of his jewelry, including the diamond rings and bracelets that pile up on his wrist, it actually may be a timely reference to Quavo and Lil Yachty’s new Joe Budden diss track, “ Ice Tray ,” off of label Quality Control’s just-released compilation, Quality Control: Control the Streets, Vol. 1 . No matter Yachty’s intent, it’s impossible to stop staring at his icy wintertime look.

Since breaking out in the rap game and becoming one of the today’s biggest stars, Lil Yachty has amassed a big fan following along with a big jewelry collection.
Lil Boat recently sat down with GQ to reveal just how much he has spent on his iced out wares and educate us about the diamonds he rocks. In the video, the young rapper reveals just how much he has paid for jewelry and highlights some of the playful chains he loves to wear on stage. Additionally, Yachty reveals that he has been wearing grills since the ninth grade and what he means when he says “boogers.”
