AURELIA Yacht – Epic $10M Superyacht

AURELIA yacht is a 37-meter superyacht, hailed to be the tenth unique yacht of its size. 

With her owner’s love for sports cars, she is the ocean’s answer to a classic racing car. In fact, she was named after the very first Gran Turismo – the Lancia Aurelia GT . 

From her highly distinctive car-inspired exterior to her flawlessly designed interior, this mid-sized award-winning sports yacht exudes style and luxury at every turn.

Bannenberg and Rowell penned AURELIA’s interior design based on a car concept. Every vintage detail, from the Linley Aston Martin seats to the vehicle grille bookcase insets, is a work of art, and each one oozes quality workmanship.

The main salon is separated into two sections: a dining room with a wide circular table and a cozy lounge area with an L-shaped couch, two design armchairs, and a Bio Ethanol-powered fireplace (by Australian business Eco Smart ).

She has four cabins that are named after race car designers and can sleep up to eight guests and six crews.

The race car designers who influenced the décor of the guest cabins are Bertone (orange Lamborghini), Pininfarina (red Ferrari), and Zagato (green Aston Martin).

The master bedroom is normally placed forward on the main deck, while the three double guest cabins are located on the lower deck, all having en-suite shower facilities. 

She offers spacious living areas laid with a warm and welcoming ambiance for that perfect luxury charter experience with family and friends.

Specifications

The AURELIA yacht was built by CdM and was delivered in 2020. She has a beam of 8.6m, a draft of 2.6m, and a volume of 453 GT.

AURELIA’s superstructure is made from aluminum and she has a semi-displacement hull, which allows her to maintain great seakeeping while reaching amazing speeds.

She is propelled by two MTU engines, which allow her to travel comfortably at 15 knots and achieve a top speed of 30 knots. She has a range of up to 1,900 nautical miles at 12 knots from her 30,000-liter fuel tanks. 

An innovative stabilization system aboard minimizes the side-to-side roll of the boat, allowing passengers to enjoy outstanding levels of comfort either at anchor or when on the open water.

Her Gulf Oil Racing color scheme was designed by Frank Laupman of Omega , a Dutch company that is not known for any specific style, but rather a range of different styles, each individually tailored to the owner’s specifications.

AURELIA is considered the world’s finest mid-size sports motor yacht with its spacious exterior areas.

She boasts of a fantastic sundeck, a transom door that folds down to create a large swimming platform, and water toys that make her a popular charter yacht among guests with a strong track record.

Accommodation

Aurelia is a 37-metre sportster – our tenth unique yacht of this size. Her extrovert appearance was inspired by the Owner’s vision for something distinctly different – a homage to sports car heritage. Indeed Aurelia was named after the very first Gran Turismo – the Lancia Aurelia GT. The world’s finest mid size sports yacht gives each owner and their designers the opportunity to create without compromise. From the outset, Aurelia was destined to be highly distinctive and for more reasons than just her racy colour scheme.

First impressions

Gulf Oil Racing colours were adapted by Dobroserdov Design and applied to the yacht and even the 14ft Castoldi tender stored in the large tender garage and launched using the Heesen track system that is both safer and requires less space than a traditional crane mechanism. The transom door folds down to create a large swimming platform.

With interiors by Bannenberg & Rowell, Aurelia’s ‘GT’ car concept required a considerable degree of detail in every aspect of the design. From the Linley Aston Martin chairs to the automobile grille bookcase insets, every classic feature exudes craftsmanship.

Motor Yacht

Aurelia perfectly exemplifies the ability of Heesen Yachts to fully customize a yacht. While the other 37metre vessels sport five cabins, the Owner of Aurelia wanted to offer more comfort to his guests and more space for his crew, so designated a guest cabin for the captain and made more room for the laundry. Comfort on board, especially when at anchor, is improved by a pair of Seakeeper gyro stabilizers that are incredibly efficient under all conditions and require no through-hull fittings.

The main salon is divided in two; a dining area with a large rounded table and a cozy lounge space with an L-shaped sofa, two design armchairs and a fire place (by Australian company Eco Smart) that uses Bio Ethanol – a wonderful piece of design. “We gave it a pretty low level streamlined style, slightly masculine…inspired by the Dunhill cigarette lighter aesthetic” says Simon Rowell, from Bannenberg & Rowell. Eight guests can be accommodated in Aurelia’s four cabins. The master suite is traditionally located forward on the main deck and the three double guest cabins – all with ensuite shower rooms – are positioned on the lower deck. Bertone (orange Lamborghini), Pininfarina (red Ferrari), and Zagato (green Aston Martin) are the race car designers who inspired the décor of the guest cabins. Guests can enjoy life at sea in three exterior social areas: the partially sheltered aft cockpit; the vast sundeck with its comfortable sitting area and convivial bar; or can take the sun on the large mattresses located in front of the wheel house.

The main deck connects to the swim platform via a series of steps and allows for easy access into the sea as well as easy boarding by tender. An A-crane on the main deck aft allows for the efficient launch of the tender and motorised water toys, after which it can be folded away into the deck for a flush appearance. The bulwarks fold down to create an infinity deck where sunbeds, corner sofas and a forward starboard wet bar creates a relaxing entertainment area ideal for use day or night.

The upper deck aft is accessed via two outdoor staircases on either side of the sliding glass doors into the main salon. A large alfresco dining area seats up to 10 guests beneath the sundeck overhang, while a small corner sofa gives a couple of guests a place to lounge in the sunshine before or after a meal.

Walkways along the side lead around to the foredeck, where a C-shaped sofa with a raised table is placed in front of the bridge, and an additional aft-facing C-shaped sofa for the whole group to gather and take in the uninterrupted views.

The upper deck aft also grants external access to the sundeck, where guests can enjoy sweeping aft views while soaking in the large glass-sided Jacuzzi, sunbathing on the sunbeds to both sides, or seated on the sofa near the aft glass balustrades.

AURELIA Specifications

The interior hosts the crew and guest accommodation on the lower deck along with a fully-equipped gym. The Master suite placed on the main deck forward. The main salon is placed aft of the foyer, and on the upper deck, there is room behind the helm station for a sky lounge.

The yacht is powered by two Caterpillar C32 Diesel engines, reaching a maximum speed of 14 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots. She has a range of 5,000 nautical miles with a fuel capacity of 60,000 litres. She was fitted with electrical driven fins at zero speed. AURELIA has a RINA C Malta Cross Mach Y (CH) classification for Unrestricted navigation.

The accommodation sleeps 10-12 guests over 5 cabins with 2 Pullman berths. A Captain's cabin and 2 crew cabins sleep a crew of 5.

The 37m/122ft motor yacht AURELIA is now the proud owner of a Spanish Charter Licence and ready to take bookings in Ibiza and The Balearics .

A 2011 Heesen build, AURELIA is sure to turn heads thanks to her sleek sky blue and orange profile, which is based on the colours of the Gulf Oil racing team and hints at the classic car-themed interior from designers Bannenberg & Rowell within. 

It is not only her eye-catching paintjob that captures the attention of onlookers, however. Capable of reaching an impressive top speed of 30 knots, she is unmissable when cruising along the coastline of Ibiza  and ensures charterers can take in all the stunning sights of this jewel of The Balearics . 

Indeed, the motor yacht is well-equipped for taking in the spectacular scenery of the region and is perfect for sun-lovers too. Designed for outdoor living, her expansive sundeck features luxurious amenities ranging from a mahogany dining table and teppanyaki grill to sunbeds, a bar and a diving board.

Elsewhere a large swim platform enables guests to get close to the glorious Mediterranean waters and enjoy the plethora of water toys available, while the main deck aft offers lounging and casual dining opportunities.       

Despite continuing the motor racing theme, the interior of luxury yacht AURELIA is not quite as bold as her colourful hull. Sophisticated and stylish with a masculine edge, the influence is much more subtle and creates an elegant environment, ideal for a  luxury charter vacation .

Full-height retracting glass doors split the main salon in two. Aft is a circular dining area with 180-degree views and further forward is a comfortable lounge area with an L-shaped sofa, perfect for entertaining as well as sitting back with a book.
