What options do you offer?

We offer 2, 4, 6 and 8 hour cruises/charters as well as local overnight charters, destination overnight charters, and overnight stays at our dock which is conveniently located in walking distance to the bars and restaurants downtown. 

Where can I view pricing?

Most of our prices can be found by clicking this link , with the exception of our overnight bookings. We offer overnight bookings at the dock and on charter, and both of those options we quote out depending on your itinerary. Please email us through the contact form on the site or at [email protected] to learn more.

What itineraries can we do?

We have a number of itineraries available for you to choose from, and we will recommend some to you depending on the time and year and day which your cruise is, the predicted weather, and how long you book the yacht for. Some sample itineraries are a sunset cruise, a yacht party next to a nearby private island, a day trip to Bald Head Island, a yacht party at Masonboro Inlet, a cruise along Wrightsville Beach, or multiple day trips to Myrtle Beach, Ocracoke, Charleston and beyond.

​What do I need to bring?

Guests should bring any alcohol or food they'd like to eat, we should have just about everything else like all necessary safety equipment, the crew, etc. Soft drinks, water and ice are included and already onboard.  

When should I arrive?

​We recommend arriving about 15 minutes prior to your departure time so that you can get settled and receive your safety briefing before we depart.

What if I have more than 13 people?

While the Coast Guard does not allow us to carry more than 13 guests at sea, we absolutely can have a dock party with more than 13 guests. While we won't be able to leave the dock, you can still party the night away on a yacht!

What's Included?

All bookings include fuel, docking fees, the cost of the captain, his mate, and full use of the yacht and its water toys which include 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, a floating dock, music throughout the boat and free internet, YoutubeTV and Netflix. If you hire the chef or hostess, their services and food will be included as well.

What's NOT Included?

The price online does NOT include tax, gratuity,  or alcohol. Food is not included unless you hire the chef. Lastly, we do not have any decorations onboard so please bring any decorations you wish to put up depending on your occasion.

Can we choose the time of our charter or cruise?  

Yes, absolutely! Any time that you want to leave and return, we can make that happen!

​What's NOT allowed?

While we want you to have the most amazing time aboard our beautiful yacht, a few things are strictly forbidden such as: Unsupervised Dock parties with more than the approved number of persons, sleeping more than 7 people onboard overnight, smoking, drugs, fireworks and flushing anything besides toilet paper down the toilets. 

​Where do I park and how much is it?

Complimentary parking is included and you will park in the Port City Marina parking. If there is a parking attendant there, let them know that you're there for a Carolina Yacht Charters cruise.  

Are children and kids allowed?

While children and kids are allowed, please know that boats do present a safety risk to our kiddos. They must always wear a live preserver and should never be allowed outside without direct adult supervision.

What Add-Ons Are Available?

We have a number of things available to add on to your experience! All options must be quoted out depending on your party size and the length of your trip. Add-Ons include:

Nor’ Banks will help you have much fun on the waters, especially if you love watersports. Also, you can use their boats to sail around, fish, have parties, or even swim.

They have pontoons, Hobie catamarans, SUP, kayaks, jet skis , tubes, wave runners, and sailboats.

If you pick a pontoon, it comes with many great specs to allow you to hold small events. They come with leather seats , rooftops, and pads to help you sunbathe.

Their rental rates are cheap. A pontoon goes for at least $195 per 2 hours.

Sailboats here go for $65 per hour. Remember, the rates here vary with the type of boat you’ll pick, the season, and how long you plan to rent it.

2. Restless Native Boat Rentals, Outer Banks

Are you interested in fishing on the beautiful Ocracoke’s sound side waters? Allow the Restless Native Boat Rentals to sort you out.

This agency is at Irvin Garnish Highway, Anchorage Marina in Ocracoke. You also get a chance to visit and view Portsmouth Island.

4. Kitty Hawk Watersports, Outer Banks

At Kitty Hawk Sports, be ready to get more from their boat rentals . They pride themselves in having many boats for you and boat riding lessons.

This firm is at Croatan Highway in Nags Head. They are over 21 years old.

The Highest Rated Watersports Operation in Nags Head!

Took the family and friends to this location to experience jet skiing.. Great experience, Great people, and a Great Time. Our guide took us to an open area where we can ride to our hearts content. We had experienced drivers to 1st time drivers. Five jet skis for 9 people. The place we were located is less than 4 feet of water in height. My whole family and friends had a great time. I will come her again when we are back in town. The front person greeted us with a smile and held our keys while we enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend them.

We went last week and took a jet ski tour. I found that it was the cheapest jet ski per hour and they had a tour so we did that instead. We got John as our tour guide and he was great. He took me and wife every where. I didn’t even know where we were LoL. He took us to see the light house. If you want to burn some gas he is the one to show you how. I think it was 1hr 30 minutes. It was so much fun. John knows where all these spots where. John was also so nice to my wife and I. My wife and I had so much fun. I can’t wait to book my next trip and take another tour.

My wife and I went on a jet ski tour last week and it definitely exceeded our expectations, to say the least. Our tour guide, Andy, was the best. He was very helpful and explained everything to expect. He also stopped at a few points along the tour to see dolphins that were next to us and explained to us a few interesting facts about OBX. We saw many different parts of the area from an entirely new perspective, which was more than we were expecting. We can't recommend this enough and we will be doing another tour when we return next year!

Took our family on the jet ski tour with Sarah. I highly recommend you do the tour. It includes a drive to the Bodie Island lighthouse, Wanchese, Manteo, under the Wright Bridge and Jockeys Ridge. The tour is approximately one hour and 50 minutes. We have been coming to Nags Head for 22 years and just now heard about the tour. Excellent experience and staff was super friendly. We got to meet the owner and he was very nice and full of information! Best family experience!

A few weeks ago, my family and I came to the beautiful Outer Banks for vacation after the COVID. We loved the friendly staff, they truly rock. Thank you to Nadia for being so patient with us and congrats for the baby! You were super sweet trying to help us get the best experience. The tour was fantastic with John. The owner gave us a deal and it was worth every penny, he also was so friendly and explained to us what to expect in the tour. We will come back again next year! Thank you guys! This is my first time jet skiing, and honestly, I couldn't be happier with my experience. The staff was amazing and very accommodating for how today turned out. OBX's Best Pontoon Boat Experience! ★★★★★

Captain Randy took us on the best adventure. We've been coming to the OBX for 30+ years and saw things we've never seen. We saw dolphins, and osprey nests, a hermit crab island, caught fish, went tubing, and brought up a few crab pots. It was an excellent morning. Worth every penny. We also loved the cruise through the fishing marina in Wanchese. Loved hearing all the stories.

Captain Randy was great! We went out on the tubes, we saw dolphins and we even learned first hand how to bring in crabs! We have 4 kids, ranging from 12 to 23 years and fun was had by all. On the way home, all 4 kiddos said this was the best adventure we have done in all our years visiting the OBX!

Captain Randy took my family and friends for a great afternoon ride. We did tubing, saw dolphins, explored two small island beaches, crabbed, and fished. He was very knowledgeable of the sights in the ICW and attentive to making the experience fun for all! We came away with 40+ blue crabs, which made a great meal to top off the day. Highly recommend Capt. Randy for a fun-filled day!

I went with a group of 6 and at no time was I bored. We went fishing, tubing, crabbing, island hoping, dolphin watching and clamming. He told us all about the big ships we passed and he seemed to know everybody else out on the water. All in all it was a really great way to start the day, would recommend!

The Sun Tracker  is a mid-size pontoon featuring a classic quad lounger layout with a larger seating area and higher weight capacity than the Sea Breeze and the Avalon pontoons. We repowered this pontoon in the spring of 2023 with a new Yamaha 115.

Bently Pontoon Boat Rental

New to our rental fleet for 2024, our 21-foot Bentley Pontoon Boat seats up to 10 passengers (or 1,900 lb., including gear) in comfort and style. The Bentley Navigator 200 has a quiet, 115-horsepower Suzuki outboard motor; a large bimini top for shade; Bluetooth stereo; GPS; and a swim ladder.

Yes! Each pontoon rental has a shade top that covers about half the seating area.

While we recommend it, North Carolina does not require that you have a boater’s license when renting from a watersports business. We’ll give you a thorough safety orientation and take time to make sure you are comfortable operating the boat. If you would like to get your boater safety certificate, you can take a free online course from BoatUS.org .

We typically recommend going to Dews Island across the Currituck Sound from Nor’Banks. Dews Island and the opposite shore have a beautiful, undeveloped shoreline—it’s a great spot to explore or drop anchor to swim and relax.

We ask that you stay north of the Wright Memorial Bridge, which is about 7 miles south of us, and that you do not go north of Nor’Banks, where it’s too shallow to operate.

Yes! Nor’Banks provides clean and comfortable life vests for your entire party, including kids. We have plenty of children’s life vests in sizes for kids less than 30 lb., 30-50 lb. and 50-90 lb. And, our vests are cleaned and sanitized between each use!

Yes! You may use your own life vest as long as it is Coast Guard-approved. Please see our staff in the office for life vest approval before heading out on the water.

Small dogs are welcome, with a few qualifications. We ask that you only bring your pet along if you are 100% certain that they are comfortable on boats and will be safe and well-behaved. We do not provide pet life vests, and there is no pet boarding ladder on the pontoons.

Dogs can easily damage vinyl seats with their claws or teeth. Damaged seats cannot be repaired, they must be replaced. Please note that we will charge $500 per cushion

You are welcome to fish and crab from all boats except the Bennington and Encore pontoon boats. The fishing on the northern sound can be hit or miss, but the crabbing is usually good. We do not rent equipment or sell bait, but you can get gear in town at Bob’s Bait & Tackle.

When fishing, we ask that you please be mindful of your mess and careful with your catch, bait and tackle—especially around the vinyl seats, which can be easily stained and damaged.

Unfortunately our boats are not handicap accessible. There are 2-3 steps leading down to the loading platform and passengers must step across a small gap between the dock and the boat to load.  If you or someone in your party have mobility issues please call us at 252 261 2900 to discuss your options. We do not recommend our activities for individuals with mobility issues, but we may accommodate minor mobility issues if we feel it is safe to do so.

Yes, you will need a fishing license to fish on the Currituck Sound. You can get a temporary or year-round North Carolina fishing license at ncwildlife.org or by calling (888) 248-6834.

Due to Coast Guard regulations, we cannot hire captains to drive the pontoon boats. We’ll give you a 10-minute orientation and train a few people from your group to operate the boat safely. If you are specifically looking for a captained cruise, we have other options: Check out our tubing, wakeboarding and waterskiing trips or our catamaran cruises aboard Surfer Girl, our luxury Maine Cat 38 sailboat!

All boats were purchased new in the last few years and come equipped with Bluetooth stereo, GPS, depth finder and swim ladder.

The capacity represents the maximum number of people and weight allowed on each boat. The limit is whichever is the largest—group size or the combined weight of the passengers. We are strictly limited to these capacities per Coast Guard regulation. We recommend sizing up for your party for a safe and comfortable ride.

We do not allow tubing or other towables to be pulled behind our pontoon boat rentals. If you want to go tubing, wakeboarding or water skiing, you can book a tubing or watersports charter with one of our licensed captains. You can even book a boat to go alongside your pontoon and swap riders along the way for large groups!

Yes! You are welcome to bring drinks and food. Keep in mind that operators are not allowed to drink and must remain completely alcohol-free.

Absolutely! Keep in mind that you will not be able to dock those boats next to one another and that they will need to remain a safe distance apart.

No, we do not allow any open flames or grills on the boats for safety reasons.

We do not provide any coolers or food storage options, so you will need to bring your own. We have coolers available for purchase in our retail store.

The Pontoon boats are safe for all ages, provided your child is large enough to fit in a USCG-approved life vest. Children 12 and under are required to wear a life jacket the entire time they are on board. We always encourage you to know your limits and ensure the children stay seated safely while the boat is underway.
