There are marina fees and fuel costs which vary depending on the type, duration and location of your sailing holiday. Marina fees need to be paid at each marina you choose to dock overnight - the amount varies but you may be able to find this information in advance by contacting the marinas directly. Fuel costs depend on whether you’re sailing a motorboat or a sailboat. You can estimate fuel costs by double-checking your chosen boat’s engine, and the expected distance you aim to sail.

Boat already booked but agent saved my opinion

At first, the boat I tried to book (and paid for) turned out not to be available. I got contacted by an agent with several new offers. An annoyance is that I had to pay for the second boat, while the payment for the first is still pending (I trust it will be reverted in a few days). The agent with whom I communicated, Zaxaroula, was remarkably helpful and responsive; her attitude was exemplary.

I had a very positive experience with…

I had a very positive experience with Zaxaroula Mmattia when booking a catamaran for our family trip in September of this year. She was very responsive, quick in updating the offer and adjusted the payment terms as needed. We have yet to take the boat itself, but so far would certainly work with Zaxaroula again for any future trips.

Sailing out of Lefkas

Overall, the experience of sailing out of Lefkas Marina was very positive. Service by the Charter Company was exemplary and the team went over and beyond to provide us with tips and advise on where to moor / dine, etc. The Hanse 418, on the other hand, did not live up to expectations. The small jib and main just didnt deliver speed and agility, like we've come to expect. Next time, we'll select a Oceanis or Elan instead. But otherwise, The Ioanian islands were AMAZING!!!

They owe lots of people money!!!

They owe lots of people money!!! Don't book with this company until they pay back all the money that was stolen off charters. They are the new owners of Zizooboats.com but refuse to reimburse guests for the money that was stolen from them, money that was used to fund the company instead of booking our boat. They are trying to fob us off with discounts on another booking, when we are owed thousands of dollars. They are now responsible for those dedts no matter what they say!! Borrowaboat.com are not to be trusted, don't be fooled like we were.

Borrowaboat into administration 2023

Borrow a boat went into administration in 2023 and people lost millions of euros. They have since taken over Zizoo, which also cost people millions of euros when they didn't pay charter companies the money that the clients had paid them. Search trustpilot for zizoo.com, it's a horror show. Avoid, it's just not worth it.

This company is fraudulent

This company is fraudulent; they have owed us more than 7,000 euros for over ten months. Although they may have changed their name, they are still operating as Zizooboats.com and continue to deceive people by taking their money. I strongly advise against using their services.

Natalie from Zizoo helped us to compare the offers and to choose from the best, suitable for a group of more than 30 people which was challenging. The boat was perfect and we had lots of fun with the music, drinks and snacks included. Different alternatives have been given to us according to our budget which was very flexible !Everything was on time and exceeded our expectations. Everything went really well

Everything went really well. From the very beginning, that is, from the advance payment by credit card until . The sailboat TRIZONIA we rented in Nikiana (Lefkada) was in perfect condition. The hull, sails, engine and all associated equipment were in good condition. On charter sailing, it often happened that some small cleat on the mast could made your life miserable even though it cost no more than 20 euros, but in this case we did not experience anything like that. I wish them all the best and warm recommendations. My family of four with a small puppy had a perfect sailing experience on the Ionian Sea

Helpful and Responsive

Damien was super helpful with finding my fiancé and I a charter. We were booking for a group of 24 people which was challenging to find a boat that was suitable but he made it happen. He hopped on calls with me and gave me different options to choose from and was always responsive when I had questions. Can’t wait for our day charter in September!

Poor quality boat with several non-functional systems. Very poor communication. no refund possible. we are on the verge of theft. a tracker (AirTag) found in the boat. No hot water !

High spec boat, nice features but ...

High spec boat with lots of nice features, but we had two engine failure incidents during the week and the boat was handed over to us without a working VHF. Owner does not have the kind of maintenance set up we are used to with other charter companies

Having the right booking coordinator makes a huge difference.

Emily our booking coordinator was extremely healthy. She went above and beyond to help us select the right boat to fit our needs. The area we were wanting to boat in is very competitive and you have to move fast to keep from being disappointed. I asked a ton of questions each time and Emily gave almost immediate responses. When she didn’t know she would immediately ask the boat owner. Bottom line is your booking coordinator can make all the difference is making sure you get the right boat to fit your needs. Emily was also very diligently about staying within my desired budget. She even for the boat owners to throw in some additional perks like offering food, picking us up at our cruise ship. I have saved Emily’s contact information and will no doubt leverage her expertise again.

With friends made I deposit for boat 5000 euros in August 2023. 1 day before recieved a call from them that company is experiencing financial difficulties and did not transfer money to charter company. Had to pay twice fir a boat. Was waiting for money back - they even did not answer e-mail. Now case with lawyers. All documents can be provided to prove what is written on request

This company is a scam, they owe me over 11,000 eur for over 8 months.Now they have blocked my number and refuse to answer my emails. I'm a professional captain for 20 years and this company is the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. ZIZOO STEALING YOUR MONEY

Zizoo has gone into liquidation. My deposit has been lost as a result. Beware that they have reamerged under Borrowaboat. Be careful, they are sneaky, they invite you to rebook your boat and pay again.
