Panthalassa

Panthalassa is a custom sailing yacht launched in 2010 by Perini Navi in Viareggio, Italy.

Credited with a combination of technical brilliance and first class design, Perini Navi has always been in a class of its own. In 1982, unable to find a yacht suited to his personal concepts and ideas, Fabio Perini designed and built the first prototype of what would prove to be the most successful series of large sailing yachts in the world.

Panthalassa measures 56.00 feet in length, with a max draft of 9.73 feet and a beam of 11.52 feet. She has a gross tonnage of 497 tonnes.

Panthalassa has an aluminium hull with an aluminium superstructure.

Her interior design is by Foster & Partners.

Panthalassa also features naval architecture by Perini Navi and Ron Holland Design.

Performance and Capabilities

Panthalassa has a fuel capacity of 53,000 litres, and a water capacity of 17,000 litres.

She also has a range of 3,500 nautical miles.

SuperYacht PANTHALASSEA (ex Panthalassa) is a wonderful creation of the Norman Foster lead architecture firm Foster + Partners teamed up with the shipbuilder Perini Navi with Naval Architecture by Perini Navi and Ron Holland Design. The 56-metre-long Panthalassea luxury yacht was first revealed in the last months of 2009 at the Perini Navi Shipyard Viareggio, Italy. She is very well maintained, with the last refit in 2023.

The vessel features an aluminium superstructure and her profile is more aerodynamic as opposed to the other yachts of the same series. Materials used in PANTHALASSEA’s construction include teak, saddle leather panels silk rugs and gold and black marble tiles in the shower areas and granite table surfaces.

Panthalassea Ketch accommodates up to 12 guests in six luxurious cabins and also can hold a crew of 10. Accommodation is arranged to provide a range of spaces, from smaller, more private retreats to flexible, open living areas. The deck features a variety of places to relax and an informal outdoor eating area, complemented by a more formal dining space inside.

Her interior is spread over three floors with the fly deck on top, the main cabin below and the guests' quarters further below. The oval staircase, lined with acrylic rods, brings in daylight as well as connects all the different levels.

The main deck of the Panthalassea sailing boat features a lounge, a bar and a board room, with wonderful views of the water and horizons. Throughout the whole interior immaculate attention has been paid by the designers to penetration of light, lighting and the keeping of the spaces airy and light.

The yacht Panthalassea is powered by two 1239 horsepower Diesel Engines, which allows her to travel at the maximum speed of 15 knots.

A sleeker window line and large glass doors opening from the aft cockpit to the main saloon set a new standard among the 56m series – a feature to follow in the three second generation 56m’s. The hallmark Foster and Partners interior design completely set S/Y Panthalassa apart. Built without a master cabin, but with six symmetrical VIP suites for corporate as well as private use, and providing a fantastic platform for charter guests.

The 56m/184ft superyacht PANTHALASSA is now available from the reduced weekly rate of 222,000 USD for the remainder of her winter charter season in the Caribbean , which ends in late April.

A result of the creative partnership between renowned shipyard Perini Navi and design house Foster & Partners, PANTHALASSA fuses contemporary living with the finest nautical heritage. As a result, she is the perfect sailing yacht for an adventurous Caribbean charter.

There is a whole host of outdoor spaces in which to relax in the Caribbean sun and take in the jaw-dropping scenery on board the sailing yacht . Unwind on the flybridge, home to a bar, and endless cushions and sun loungers, or indulge in some alfresco dining on the main deck aft.

Alternatively, escape the midday heat under the Bedouin tent.

The original design brief for luxury yacht PANTHALASSA called for a seamless relationship between the interior and exterior and, accordingly, natural daylight floods into the indoor living spaces through unique skylights and oversized portholes.

Natural organic tones combined with teak flooring and saddle leather wall panelling create a contemporary yet inviting retreat inside.

Plus there is a whole array of unique features such as a library with sea views, an eye-catching feature staircase, a dining room that can convert into a boardroom, and electric glazed screens that divide or unify the main salon, dining area and wheelhouse.

Such an atmosphere offers the upmost in relaxation and contemplation, perfect for an idyllic charter vacation through the peaceful Caribbean islands. Yet, which such versatility, the yacht can also act as the ideal host for large social gatherings and special occasions when docked in city ports.

Six equally-sized staterooms, consisting of two double cabins and two convertible twin cabins, can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests.

A treasure chest of water toys includes Seabobs, wakeboards, paddleboards, water skis, an inflatable aquaglide trampoline, snorkelling gear and kite surfing equipment. Such a collection provides a plethora of ways in which to enjoy the tropical Caribbean waters.
