We are looking for an experienced EOOW to join a busy 50m, Northern European build as Second Engineer. The position would suit someone with some solid Second Engineer experience on similar sized vessels. The yacht is private and charter, although due to spend some time in the yard this winter, and offers a very competitive package including a time for time rotation and excellent salary. 3rd Engineer 70m+ Private Motor Yacht
We are working with a world travelling, private motor yacht, who are looking for a Third Engineer to join them in the middle of December. The position would suit an Engineer with a strong trade background who is very hands on, comfortable on the tools and looking to secure an Engineering position on a great yacht. Due to the yachts itinerary, a B1/B2 visa is preferred, but there might also be the possibility to help a candidate apply for a visa. Chief Engineer 50m+ Private/Charter Motor Yacht
We are looking for a Chief Engineer to join a 55m world cruising, private and charter motor yacht. The yacht is travelling to the US and therefore a B1/B2 visa is preferred. Ideally, the successful candidate will be an accomplished Engineer, comfortable working with IDEA and managing a Second Engineer. We are working with a 90m MY looking for a rotational Third Engineer to join them in Europe, in the middle of November. The ideal candidate will have an EOOW in hand and either prior experience on board a yacht or cruise ships.The position offers the opportunity to work within an established Engineering team, with the opportunity for growth and development. We have Marine Engineer jobs available at our sites in Southampton and Wroxham, Norfolk. We are looking for experienced industry professionals who will help us to meet the growing demand for our range of luxury yachts.
REQUIREMENTS
Our yachts are built to take on adventures anywhere in the world, from costal cruising to circumnavigating the world. So we’re looking for people to accept Marine Engineer jobs who show excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills and enjoy working as part of a multi-skilled team. You will be responsible for meeting the exacting deadlines required to complete each boat on time for delivery to its new owners. Your work will be varied, including everything from fitting various components across a wide range of systems in our world-class yachts, from hydraulics to air conditioning, from engine systems to generators, fuel, heating, waste and water cooling water systems. We have Marine Engineer jobs for people who have at least two years’ relevant experience and are comfortable with innovation and new challenges.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- High standard of metal fabrication skills and knowledge of hydraulics
- High standard of plumbing and gas knowledge
- Ability to operate machinery and hand tools correctly and safely
- Good understanding of marine technologies
- Ability to work on own initiative and also plan work with other trades
- Practical problem-solving abilities with a high standard of finish
