Just when we thought all prayers for a chic and functional nesting dinghy were answered with the kit of the adorable PT 11 by Port Townsend Watercraft , here come the French with their interpretation of the theme: The Reverso Air performance sailing dinghy. While traditional nesting dinghies come in two halves that, well, nest inside each other for compact storage, the 163-pound Reverso Air requires more assembly, with four parts that can be stacked on top of each other. The whole boat can be put together by two people in less than two minutes.

Dinghy in 4 parts: The Reverso Air is a performance boat that fits into the trunk of a station wagon, in a large lazarette – or under the dinner table in an apartment.

It is a singlehanded performance boat with a four-part carbon mast that is 16′ 5″ long and spreads a 64.5 ft2 (6 square meter) fathead mainsail, which hints at a lively character. But the thinking goes beyond sailing bliss and aims to improve portability and storability of a rigid-hulled sailboat.

For transport, neither roof rack nor road trailer are required. “It fits into the trunk of a car, it can be hauled by convertible and it is entirely possible to load it onto a bicycle trailer”, says US-importer Alex Caslow, whose company, Red Beard Sailing, specializes in small sailing, rowing and paddle craft. Provided the premises accommodate a stack of fiberglass parts that measures 3′ x 4’9″ x 2’5″ “(0.91 m x 1.45 m x 0.73 m), this boat could, at least in theory, be stored under a coffee table, in a closet, on the balcony, or in the basement of a small urban apartment. Alternatively, it could find a spot on deck or in the lazarette of cruising or charter yachts, which is part of the concept’s original intent.

Designer and CEO of the Reverso Project, Antoine Simon, has a sailing background and experience as a pilot. “With the Reverso Project, I had the vision of a compact, stylish and agile sailboat that can fit anywhere and removes all the hassle that surrounds sailing and stops people from buying a boat,” he was quoted in a superyacht magazine . Simon also envisions the Reverso Air as an accessory for luxury yachts that want to offer their charter guests a dinghy to or have fun.

The boat can carry up to two adults or one adult and two children. The hull segments are built from two fiberglass skins with carbon reinforcements. A layer of air is trapped in between, obviating the need for a foam core. “Sandwich laminate would have been too heavy,” explains Caslow. The largest section weighs about 33 pounds, so it is light enough to be carried by one person without strain.

The Reverso Air’s four elements are fastened to each other with stainless-steel clasps on deck and while they are also tied together by two longitudinal straps that run on both sides of the daggerboard trunk and are tightened by a purchase system, so the hull stays rigid and resists flex and torsion when thrashing upwind through a chop. How much tension does it require? Mon dieu, that must stay secret, to ward off copycats. “Enough to lift a small car,” chuckles Caslow.

The flotation tanks are sealed and have inspection ports and vent holes. Caslow mentions redundancies that are built in for safety, i.e. the two tightening straps and the positive buoyancy. The boat can lose two sections and it still will float and sail”, he says.

In the US, the Reverso Air is listed at USD 10,900, which includes the sail and a dedicated spot to mount the Velocitek Speedpuck GPS. Customers can add bags for the kit and a beach dolly. In the future, an optional a motor mount for a small electric outboard could add utility as a tender.

The Foldable Sailboat of the Future: Reverso

Reverso was designed in the Occitanie region of France and is partly manufactured in Brittany, paying close attention to the smallest detail. R esidents across the Moscow suburbs are besieged by a heating problem, for which they plead direct intervention from President Vladimir Putin. These individuals have yet to experience any semblance of home heating since winter started due to a dwindling supply of heating oil. The issue, one largely avoided by local authority communication, has left residents desperate to the point of directly appealing to the president.

While plots have been uncovered to disrupt Ukraine's infrastructure for a second consecutive winter, thus depriving civilians of heating, it seems Russians are now mired in their crisis. Irony drips from the fact that those under Putin's leadership are looking to cause turmoil in Ukraine, yet at home, they face a similar predicament.

Many dwellings within the Moscow agglomeration are presently without heat. The capital's residents are desperate, directly appealing to President Putin due to a perceived lack of alternate avenues for assistance. The absence of suitable heating functionality since winter commenced pushes them towards desperation with no relief in sight.

This seems improbable, but in Russia, it appears that anything can happen.

It remains uncertain if Vladimir Putin is actively addressing the heating crisis. Some experts suggest that Russia's heating oil reserves are depleting, which negatively affects residents' quality of life. Plagued by cold radiators and plummeting winter temperatures, these citizens have directly addressed their pleas to their head of state.

This heating crisis is happening in Elektrostal, a town approximately 71 miles from Moscow.

Ironically, Russia has constantly aimed to destroy the Ukrainian infrastructure since war broke out, deliberately trying to leave Ukrainians without heating during the harsh winters, aiming to break their strong will. It's an irony they now struggle with a domestic heating crisis, particularly near Moscow, their largest and most pivotal city.

Desperate individuals are reaching out to Vladimir Putin. They question his knowledge of the heating infrastructure conditions in the Moscow suburbs and the dire situations residents face there. Sundown brings no relief from the harsh Russian winter and without heating, their houses turn cold. With elections nearing, more and more residents find themselves reaching out directly to their president.

"Since winter's start, we've been without heating. This has been a yearly occurrence for the past three years. Despite paying for heating, we don't have enough. We implore you, help us!" - these are the desperate pleas from the heavily dressed populace dealing with the Russian winter conditions.

In a series of photos posted by gossip blog Deuxmoi Monday, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were seen holding hands as they walked through the docks of an undisclosed location.

Although it’s unclear if they were on their way into the docks or out, they tried to keep a low profile with the “Lover” songstress hiding behind a baseball cap and sunglasses.

They also sported neutral outfits with Swift wearing a long-sleeve shirt and shorts and Kelce rocking a T-shirt and shorts.

Their getaway comes amid reports that the NFL star is planning a vacation with the 14-Grammy winner ahead of the release of her highly-anticipated album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” on April 19.

An insider close to Kelce, 34, told the US Sun, “He booked some very nice hotel suites and tables at great restaurants to take her on days off.

He wants to take her on romantic getaways to have her relax and go discover those nice cities and European romantic places together.”

Swift, 34, is not set to take the stage for her Eras Tour for another two months after wrapping up her concerts in Asia and Australia.

Amid their respective breaks from their careers, the A-list couple are reportedly nesting at the pop star’s Los Angeles estate.

“They’re focused on rest and recuperation and relaxing at home and having low-key and chill time together,” an insider told Us Weekly last week. “They are enjoying movie nights in her home theater, catching up on films and shows they’ve missed.”

However, they have not missed out on some of the most exclusive parties in Hollywood as they were seen at  Madonna’s ultra-exclusive post-Oscars bash while the NFL star was also  spotted at Jay-Z’s annual “Gold Party.”

Aside from attending the star-studded parties, Swift has also hosted a few “small, intimate gatherings” of her own.

“They can finally rest and intend on spending quality time together and with friends and family,” a source told Us Weekly.
