Lil Yachty and Reese's Puffs Teamed Up to Make Lil Yacht Cereal Boats, So Pass the Milk
Published on 4/9/2021 at 9:35 PM
In food news you didn't see coming, Lil Yachty and Reese's Puffs teamed up to make waves in the cereal-eating world yet again. The rapper has collaborated with the General Mills cereal brand before , but this time remote-controlled yachts are involved, and they're here to serve up breakfast like never before. These mini boats have got it all — from a waterproof Bluetooth speaker to a wireless yacht remote, a custom purple chrome "Eat 'Em Up" spoon, and, of course, a box of Lil Yacht's crave-worthy Puffs. On top of that, the little boats also feature "milkcuzzis," which circulate the milk and cereal together, ensuring that every puff is doused to perfection.
According to the Reese's Puffs site , these sleek ships "swirl your milk, blast your beats, and sail the seas," proving that this is the best (and only) way to ever eat cereal . If you've never had the pleasure of enjoying these chocolate-and-peanut-butter-flavored puffs on a yacht before, now's your chance. Head over to the cereal brand's site to get notified before the Lil Yachts drop on April 9 at 1 p.m. ET. For 150 bucks, you can let your cereal-eating dreams set sail and soar.

Lil Yachty's Surprise Update To This Reese's Puff Classic
If you watched Nickelodeon in the early 2000s, you most definitely saw the Reese's Puffs rap commercials . A lot of people who are now college-age still remember the lyrics (via Reddit ): "Reese's Puffs Reese's Puffs / Peanut butter chocolate flavor." Rap along, if you know the words: "Reese's Puffs Reese's Puffs / In the a.m. it's the flavor I savor" (via Food Stuff Today ).
While the ads lacked star power and didn't exactly win the breakfast cereal songwriters at General Mills any Grammy awards , but they did what they were supposed to do. The lyrics stuck in the heads of a generation of kids so they would ask their parents to buy Reese's Puffs . They could even spell it out for them: "R double E S E S, yes! / P to the U double F S yes!" (via Smule ).
Fast-forward five years to today, and the Reese's Puffs rap is being revived, this time with some serious star power.
Lil Yachty performed a new Reese's Puffs jingle at virtual concert
Lil Yachty, who even at 23 might still be considered " King of the Teens ," debuted the updated Reese's Puffs rap for a new generation of cereal consumers during a virtual live concert that took place on Thursday, November 19th, according to a statement sent to Mashed . The pairing was a perfect match, as the rapper is a big fan of Reese's Puffs cereal, says Mindy Murray, senior marketing communications manager at General Mills. Likely still a teen when the commercials stopped airing, maybe "Young Boat" (as he sometimes calls himself) was inspired by all those Reese's Puffs television ads — just like so many other kids his age.
Yachty's musical style, however, was definitely not borrowed from the old cereal commercials. The original Reese's Puffs rap sounds like some kind of mash-up of artists like Run-DMC and Will Smith, while Yachty's take on the cereal jingle is definitely fresh. Although he's often pigeonholed as a rapper, Yachty's style is more expansive. The pop star even made The New York Times ' list of "25 songs that tell us where music is going" for his innovative tunes (via Motown Records ).
Lil Yachty's Reese's Puffs rap has fresh lyrics
You're likely to hear Lil' Yachty's Reese's Puffs remix soon enough, but here's a rundown. Yachty starts by spelling out the name of the cereal, as in one of the old versions of the ad. (Ever since that child spelled out " Oscar Mayer " back in 1973, it seems that spelling has been a go-to advertising technique). The jingle allows the rapper to flex his generosity ("Yes I have more, do you want some?"), a direct appeal to the parents ("Please stop at the store I need more Puffs"), and maybe even a sly wink at the COVID-19 situation ("Oh my they sold out, wow that sucks").
No word from General Mills yet about whether or not Lil' Yachty will appear in Reese's Puffs televisoin ads. If he does, it won't be Yachty's first rodeo — er, regatta — on the commercial airwaves. He helped LeBron James sell Sprite in 2016 and collaborated with pop star Carly Rae Jepsen on a remake of the 1988 hip-hop hit "It Takes Two" for Target (via Vimeo ). This will also not be Reese's Puff's first relationship with a famous hip-hop artist. In 2019, Travis Scott collaborated with the brand on a limited-edition cereal box that sold on Scott's website for $50. The cereal sold out in 30 seconds (via ABC7 News ).

Lil Yachty Partners With Reese’s Puffs and Gets His Own Cereal Box
Lil Yachty 's benefited from many dope things happening in his rap career, but a cereal box featuring his face might just be his biggest flex yet.
One month after the release of his Lil Boat 3.5 album , Yachty announced that he now has his own Reese's Puffs cereal box. The "Oprah's Bank Account" rapper revealed his latest collaboration to his 5.2 million Twitter followers and 9.9 million Instagram followers on Monday (Dec. 28).
"I've done a lot of things in my career, but this is one I'm probably most proud of.. #Sponsored @reesespuffs #eatemup," he wrote in the tweet that announced the collab. Attached is an image of Lil Boat pouring cereal out of a box that reads, "Lil Yachty's Reese's Puffs."
On the Reese's Puffs cereal box itself, Yachty's face is shown as he sticks his tongue out in front of a spoon full of Puffs.
This announcement is one everyone probably should've seen coming. Just last month, Yachty dropped his new song "Reese's Puffs Rap," a track that, as its title indicates, is about Reese's Puffs.
"Peanut butter chocolate in the swirl in my bowl (Eat ’em up)/Flavor so sweet when the milk so cold (Eat ’em up)/Gotta take my Reese's Puffs everywhere I go/Even at my meetings and backstage at my shows/Yum, yum, yum/Yes, I have more, do you want some?/Please stop at the store, I need more Puffs/Oh my, they sold out, wow, that sucks," he raps over the Earl on the Beat-produced track.
General Mills' senior marketing communications manager Mindy Murray thinks Lil Yachty was a perfect choice for this collaboration.
“Lil Yachty is an innovative creator who also happens to be a big fan of Reese's Puffs,” Murray says in a statement. “He brought so much of his signature creativity to this collaboration, we knew our fans would be excited to see his design on the front of our cereal boxes.”
Lil Yachty is also excited. “To go from being a kid with big dreams eating Reese's Puffs to now being featured on the cereal box is surreal,” the 2016 XXL Freshman says. “Just like everything, I put my own personal touch into this collab–from remaking the Reese's Puffs rap to designing the look of the new cereal box. I’m excited for it to hit shelves and enjoy some Reese's Puffs with all my fans.”
Yachty isn't the first rapper to work with Reese's Puffs. Back in 2019, Travis Scott appeared on the cereal box as well. Yachty's Reese's Puffs boxes are rolling out now and will be available nationwide in the near future.

Lil Yachty Revitalizes Nostalgic Reese's Puffs Jingle
“‘r’ double ‘e,’ ‘s,’ ‘e,’ ‘s,’ yes ‘p’ to the ‘u’ double ‘f,’ ‘s,’ yes”.
Shortly after reimagining the Saved by the Bell theme, Lil Yachty has brought back some nostalgia associated with Reese’s Puffs ads from the ’00s. Reese’s Puffs earworm rap jingle, which went something like “‘R’ double ‘E,’ ‘S,’ ‘E,’ ‘S,’ yes! / ‘P’ to the ‘U’ double ‘F,’ ‘S,’ yes!,” stuck to a now-college-age generation, and now Yachty is revitalizing the raps.
Yachty debuted a new Reese’s Puffs jingle at a recent virtual concert. Like his industry peer, Travis Scott , the rapper is a huge fan of the cereal and was likely still a teenager to catch the final bit of General Mills ‘ campaign. Compared to the original jingle — which now sounds dated — Yachty’s take of the tune is fresh and revitalized. Lil Yachty’s new Reese’s Puffs remix begins by spelling out the name of the cereal, followed by lines like “Yes I have more, do you want some?” and “Please stop at the store I need more Puffs.” The latter line is most likely a cheeky appeal from a child to his/her parents. This is followed by, “Oh my they sold out, wow that sucks.” It isn’t entirely clear yet whether Yachty will show up in Reese’s Puffs TV ads, but if he does, it wouldn’t be the rapper’s first time for landing on a major F&B commercial — back in 2016, he appeared on a Sprite ad with LeBron James that involved a remake of the 1988 hit “It Takes Two” by Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock.

Lil Yachty is adding a new entrepreneurial venture to his list of accomplishments. On Monday (Dec. 28), the Lil Boat 3 rapper announced that he’d partnered with Reese’s Puffs to introduce his own cereal box, hitting grocery shelves in the new year.
“I’ve done a lot of things in my career, but this is one I’m probably most proud of,” Yachty wrote on Twitter alongside a picture of him pouring cereal out of a box with his face on it. As an avid cereal lover and the MC behind the “Reese’s Puffs Rap,” Yachty’s partnership with the brand seems like a natural next step. Reese’s also joined forces with Travis Scott for his own limited edition cereal box in 2019 .
“Growing up, Reese’s Puffs was the cereal that was always in the house. And as far as I can remember the commercials just always felt, like, more in tune with the culture I grew up around,” the Atlanta native told Hypebeast . “And of course I didn’t ever think I’d have my own box. But growing up and it being a cereal that was always in house — a cereal we ate — is like a super cool and crazy accomplishment. Arguably the craziest thing I’ve done, and I’ve done so many things in my career… [but] this is probably the coolest thing I’ve done thus far.”
“I don’t think it’s just an everyday thing you see, like, a rapper on a cereal box, you know?” he added . “I eat cereal every day, so it’s just gonna be cool to see it — like my face in the cereal aisle.”
“Lil Yachty’s Reese’s Puffs” cereal will be available for $3.99 in stores in the U.S. and Canada. The entrepreneurial move follows Yachty’s venture into cryptocurrency earlier this year.

Lil Yachty Announces Reese’s Puff Collaboration is in the Works
Lil Yachty is securing all the bags for the new year.
The rapper tweeted that he had a collaboration with Reese’s Puff on the way and his face will be featured on the box.
In the photo, he’s seen pouring cereal in a bowl while sporting what appears to be merch. “I’ve done a lot of things in my career, but this is one I’m probably most proud of,” Lil Boat wrote.

“He brought his signature creativity to this collaboration, we knew our fans would be excited to see his design on the front of our cereal boxes,” said General Millls’ senior marketing communications manager Mindy Murray.
This explains the inspiration behind Lil Yachty’s latest song, “Reese’s Puffs Rap,” which was a dedication to his love for the cereal.
There’s no telling when the collaboration will be available in food aisles, but Yachty told Hypebeast “it’ll be everywhere.”
“And everyone grocery shops, from your grandmother to your nephew and niece and everyone. So it’s just, it’s super cool. I love anytime I’m doing anything that’s led by my workspace and interest in something. … This is like a really cool collectible I would say, not only just for me, but just for people who like to collect.”

The mini boat comes with a waterproof bluetooth speaker and a ‘milkcuzzi’.
by Christian Saclao April 11, 2021, 9:39 pm
Following the successful launch of Lil Yachty ’s Reese’s Puffs cereal last December, the rapper and the cereal brand have teamed up once again for a remote-controlled mini boat that serves up breakfast like never before.
Aptly called Lil Yachty x Reese’s Puffs Lil Yacht , the toy boat comes with a built-in waterproof Bluetooth speaker, a wireless remote, a custom purple chrome “Eat ‘Em Up” spoon, and a box of Lil Yachty’s Reese’s Puffs cereal.
It also features the first-ever “Milkcuzzi,” which swirls milk and cereal together, ensuring that every puff is doused to perfection. According to the collab’s website , Lil Yachts “swirl your milk, blast your beats, and sail the seas.”
“Lil Yachty has been an amazing partner and his personal touch can be seen in every piece of this collaboration,” Mindy Murray, senior marketing manager at General Mills , said in a statement, announcing the ultimate fan product. “What better way to close out this partnership than releasing a larger-than-life Lil Yacht?”
Lil Yachty, for his part, said that the Lil Yacht collaboration was just another way to put his stamp on his partnership with Reese’s Puffs and “do something out of the box that would be fun for fans.”
Priced at $149.99, the Lil Yachty x Reese’s Puffs Lil Yacht officially launched last Friday. But since only 20 units were made available, it sold out in just a matter of minutes. Those who weren’t able to snag one can check popular reselling sites like eBay for potential listings.

Orange is the New Black: Moscow Mule
I am not at all happy with Larry and his article. When he was talking to Polly about what a selfish douche he is, I was agreeing wholeheartedly. The scene when Maria comes back without the baby broke my heart. I can't imagine how awful that must be.

Moscow Muled
Top 7 rum mule recipes.
May 01, 2020
In this post, we discuss the Rum Mule, a delicious twist on the classic Moscow Mule. We also share the top 7 Rum Mule recipes to try today. Let's get started!
Introduction
In 1941, in a bar in New York, the famous Moscow Mule was invented. Since then, there have been hundreds of variations of the drink made across the world. One of these is the Rum Mule. This variation is based on the original mule cocktail but substitutes vodka for rum as its base alcohol.
The Rum Mule is said to have first been made in Bermuda, just after the end of the First World War. Its main ingredients are dark rum, ginger beer, and lime juice. With this amazing cocktail people who prefer rum to vodka now have a perfect alternative if they’re looking for an interesting twist to the classic Mule.
How the Rum Mule is Made
To make a Rum Mule, you will need a shaker, highball glass, muddler, and a bar spoon. The original drink was served in a highball glass, but you can choose to use a copper mug, in true Mule fashion.
Besides the basic ingredients - which are ginger beer, lime juice, and rum - ice and simple syrup can also be used. Other ingredients, such as fruits, can be added to introduce preferred flavors and aromas. If you wish, you can use ginger ale instead of ginger beer.
Choosing Between Ginger Beer and Ginger Ale
Ginger beer or ale is the base of any Moscow Mule variation. Both are ideal for the perfect cocktail; however, they have differences that affect the final outcome in terms of flavor. Ginger beer has a longer history than ale, having been introduced in the mid-1700s in England. Ale came around much later in the mid 19th century, originating from Ireland.
In terms of production, ginger beer is fermented, a process that leaves it with a small alcohol content. It’s made with a mix of ginger, water, lemon juice, and sugar. Ale, on the other hand, can be defined as carbonated water or soft drink flavored with ginger. Ginger beer has a stronger, spicier taste, and is, therefore, more effective at balancing alcoholic and citrus flavors in mixed drinks.
Ginger ale has a mellow ginger flavor that will introduce a sweetness to your cocktail. It contains no alcohol and is lighter in color compared to the beer. Whichever you choose to go with, you can expect to benefit from effects such as suppression of nausea and improved gut health.
To learn more about the difference between ginger beer and ginger ale, see our complete blog post on the subject. In addition, to learn how to make your own ginger beer, check our our complete guide here .
7 Rum Mule Recipes to Try Today
Dark ‘n stormy cocktail.
This is the simplest Rum Mule recipe, as it only requires three basic ingredients. For the best results, use high-quality ginger beer and dark rum.
Prep Time: 5 minutes Serves: 1
Ingredients:
- 4 ounces ginger beer
- 2 ounces dark rum
Instructions:
- In a glass, combine ginger beer and rum.
- Add ice and stir.
Spiced Rum Mule
This cocktail uses spiced rum, which is essentially rum that contains caramel colorings and spices. Therefore, if you prefer a spicy flavor for your Mule, this is one variation you should definitely try.
- 1.5 ounces spiced rum
- 4 ounces ginger ale
- In a highball glass, muddle lime and mint.
- Add the ginger ale, rum, and ice into the glass.
- Stir then garnish with mint sprig and lime wheel.
The Cuban Mule
If you love the sweet Cuban mojito, then you may want to try its Rum Mule variation. To do that, you need to switch your white rum for the dark type. Also, you should do away with the soda water and use ginger beer instead.
Ingredients
- 1½ ounces dark rum
- 1 teaspoon cane sugar
- ½ lime wedge
- 12 spearmint leaves
- Muddle the spearmint leaves, cane sugar, and lime wedge in a tall glass.
- Add ginger beer and rum.
- Stir the mixture.
- Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves.
Rum Mule with Simple Syrup
This recipe makes use of simple syrup, which is an alternative to granulated sugar. The simple syrup dissolves more easily and provides a thicker texture. To make your simple syrup at home, mix equal parts of sugar and water then heat them. Cool the syrup once the sugar dissolves, store it in a glass container, and then refrigerate. You can use it for the next two to three weeks.
- 6 ounces ginger beer
- 2 ounces rum
- ½ ounce lime juice
- 3 mint sprigs
- Splash of simple syrup
- Lime for garnishing
- Pour the rum, ginger beer, simple syrup, and lime juice into a shaker.
- Add ice and mint leaves, then mix well.
- Serve in a copper mug.
- Garnish with lime wedges and mint sprigs.
Puerto Rican Rum Mule
Puerto Rican rum is the main ingredient in this recipe. Rum from Puerto Rican distilleries makes up the largest percentage of rum consumed in the U.S., thanks to its renowned high quality. Choose your favorite brand of Puerto Rican rum to make this cocktail.
- 1 ounce Puerto Rican rum
- 2 ounces ginger beer, chilled
- 2 lime wedges
- 2 dashes aromatic bitters
- Mint sprig
- Add ice into a copper mug then squeeze in fresh lime juice.
- Pour in ginger beer and rum.
- Top with bitters and stir.
- Garnish with mint sprig
Strawberry Rum Mule
If you love fruit-infused cocktails, then the Strawberry Rum Mule is a must-try.
- 25ml lime juice
- 2 teaspoon sugar
- 5 strawberries, ripe
- Ginger beer
- Dash of bitters
- 1 strawberry, to garnish
- Muddle ripe strawberries in a shaker, then add lime juice, rum, sugar, and bitters.
- Add cubed ice into a highball glass, then strain the mixture into it.
- Top with ginger beer.
- Garnish with strawberry.
Apple Cider Rum Mule
Try the Apple Cider Rum Mule for a boost of phytochemicals that can reduce your risk of developing asthma, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and some types of cancer.
Prep Time: 5 minutes Serves: 2
- 1 ounce dark rum
- 2 ounces cinnamon-infused whiskey
- 4 ounces apple cider
- 12 ounces ginger beer
- Apple slices, to garnish
- Put ice in copper mugs.
- Add ginger beer, apple cider, whiskey, and rum into mugs and mix.
- Garnish with apple slices.
How to Choose Rum for Your Mule Cocktail
While ginger beer or ale is the common ingredient in every Moscow Mule variation, rum is the main ingredient here. Rum is an alcoholic beverage made from fermenting sugarcane molasses or juice. It’s clear that you have to choose a good quality rum for a great Rum Mule cocktail. To help you do that, you should know about the different types of rum available.
The following are the main types of rum:
- White Rum – Also known as light rum, this type is light-bodied and has a sweet flavor. It’s normally aged for at least a year. After aging, it’s filtered to remove color. Because of its mild flavor, it’s rarely taken alone and instead mostly used in cocktails.
- Dark Rum – Dark rum is aged for a longer period compared to white rum, which gives it a spicier and stronger flavor. This type of rum is made from caramelized molasses and aged in charred barrels. The resulting color tone ranges from red to black, to brown.
- Spiced Rum – While barrel-aged rum naturally obtains a spicy flavor, spiced rums have spices such as pepper, cinnamon, cloves, rosemary, and cardamom added to enhance the taste. Caramel is also added in some cases to intensify the flavor further.
- Flavored Rum - Flavored rum is mostly used to blend tropical drinks, but it can also be enjoyed neat. This is rum that has been infused with the flavors of fruits such as pineapple, orange, banana, or lime.
- Overproof Rum – While most rums have an alcohol content of 40 percent or less, overproof rum has a much higher percentage. Some have an ABV (Alcohol by Volume) of up to 80 percent.
- Gold Rum – Gold rum is medium-bodied and has characteristics of both dark and light rum. It has a stronger flavor than white rum but is less intense than dark rum. Gold rum has a dark amber color, which is as a result of being aged in wooden barrels.
Choose Your Flavor
Flavor and alcohol potency are ideal benchmarks to consider when deciding what kind of Rum Mule to make. Using dark or overproof rum will give you a strong alcoholic base, while flavored and white rum will allow you to try less alcoholic and sweeter flavors. Ingredients such as lime juice, mint, and fruits should be as fresh as possible to provide maximum taste and aroma.
For an exceptional drinking experience, drink your Rum Mules in moderation. This will not only let you enjoy every sip and savor the flavors, but also bring about psychological health benefits such as improved cognitive performance and reduced stress. Studies have even shown that moderate alcohol consumption promotes euphoria and happiness. So, don’t forget to mix your favorite version of the Rum Mule the next time you’re hosting friends for a great time!
