Kylie Jenner Just Made Her Music Debut and It's Not at All What You'd Expect

So, what's Kylie Jenner up to today, besides making buckets of money on her wildly popular Lip Kits ? Oh, she's just making her music debut on a rap that twists the theme song from Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood . (Yes, that really is a thing that has happened.)

Here's the deal: Rapper Lil Yachty and producer Burberry Perry dropped a new song called "Beautiful Day" and it features a synth-y cameo from Miss Jenner. Listen, below, to hear her say "Jordyn, come on, I've never been on a song before! This is a f**king—" before launching into "it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood."

Not what you expected, right? (Though, to be fair, we're not entirely sure what we would have imagined for Kylie's music career; anything is possible when it comes to the Kardashian-Jenners.) And does this mean it's only a matter of time until she appears on a Tyga track? It's likely.

It's a beautiful day for Kylie Jenner fans, who get to celebrate the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister's rap debut. It's also a beautiful day for Kylie Jenner haters, who get to celebrate her new song for a completely different reason.

Producer Burberry Perry dropped a new song with actual-rapper Lil Yachty called Beautiful Day , which samples the Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood  theme song and "features" Jenner and her friends Justine Skye and Jordyn Woods.

Let's remember that Jenner is currently dating Tyga and has Kanye West as a brother-in-law, so her venturing into hip-hop was probably inevitable.

Kylie Jenner Makes Musical Debut on 'Beautiful Day'

Kylie Jenner steps to the mic. The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star appears on Burberry Perry’s “Beautiful Day,” a Mister Rogers-inspired single featuring Lil Yachty, Justine Skye, and Jordyn Woods.

“I’ve never been on a song before,” Jenner says on the track, which pulls its hook from the theme song for the classic children’s television show “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.”

“Beautiful Day” is a cut off Perry’s self-titled six-track mixtape released Wednesday (May 4). Listen to the Kylie collab below.

It’s a big week for Yachty, who also released his music video for “1 Night.” Directed by Glassface and Rahil Ashruff, the visual is an artistic exploration of the ocean filled with special effects, including clips of Jay Z, Beyoncé, Future, Ciara, emojis, and cats.

Beyond those two releases, Lil Boat is also teasing new material. In a W Magazine feature, the 18-year-old MC previews his new single “All In” and explains his intentions in this game: “I just want to be mainstream.”

Kylie Jenner, Justine Skye & Jordyn Woods Join Lil Yachty & Burberry Perry On “Beautiful Day”

Kylie Jenner has officially made her musical debut and it’s interesting, to say the least.

Yesterday [Wednesday, May 4] producer Burberry Perry uploaded a track to SoundCloud  called “Beautiful Day” from his six-track self-titled EP that features Lil’ Yachty, Justine Skye, Jordyn Woods and Jenner talk-rapping an R-rated version of the theme song of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood .

The track, which is like listening to a nursery rhyme on lean, opens with Yachty spitting childlike bars like “I got up to take a walk/had a hole in my cashmere sock” you can already tell where this track is going. A simple hook and even more simpler subject matter, there’s not too many good things going on with this track, but what is interesting about the track is the way the it ends.

At the 2:40 mark you hear Jenner and model Jordyn Woods playing in the booth trying to catch the beat, but at the 3:09 mark is when it turns all bad after one of the two girls starts the hook:

“It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood/beautiful day in the neighborhood/I wish a f*ck n*gga would.”

If the first voice wasn’t Kylie, then the second time it’s said may have been because a seemingly different female voice heavily auto-tuned comes in a repeats the same line before the duo starts singing in unison,”We are so sorry.” It appears the voice singing the “n” word is Justine Skye, but only time will tell.

Kylie Jenner Appears on a Rap Song With Lil Yachty and Burberry Perry

We’re a week into May and 2016 has already brought us a new Kendrick Lamar album , a powerful Beyonce project , Drake’s long-awaited Views and a Lil Yachty song featuring Kylie Jenner. One of these things doesn’t belong with the others.

Taking the chorus and sample from the famous theme song to Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood , Yachty puts his own explicit spin on the classic children’s show for “Beautiful Day.” Being that Boat is only 18 years old, kids who listen to his music are more likely to only know the track thanks to the rising rapper. 

Late into the song, Kylie Jenner makes her debut on wax. Aided by auto-tune, Jenner stumbles through her part as she lets everyone know she has “never been on a song before.” It shows.

Once Kylie finishes her brief appearance, Jordyn Woods and Justine Skye close out the song with the chorus. Not realizing that Jenner was only on the track for a few seconds, many listeners’ ears were raised when they heard “I wish a fuck nigga would” come from the speakers. Woods clarified on Twitter that it was her and Skye, not Jenner, using the word.

Now, Lil Yachty is admitting that "Beautiful Day" is not his best work, and he didn't originally want the three girls to feature on the track.

"They wanted to do it and we weren't going to put them on there and they were like, 'You got to put us on there, you better put us on there,' so I was like okay," Lil Yachty revealed during an interview on The Breakfast Club radio show .

But Yachty isn't trying to throw shade. He's not saying anything Kylie (who he calls "his homie") doesn't already know. "They knew it was [terrible]," he said. "Everybody in the studio knew it was. It was like some fun stuff, it was joke."

Whether the song was terrible or not, it still has over 6 million plays on SoundCloud , so having Kylie on the track definitely wasn't the worst idea.
